house10s:No one is born gay or straight, Please read on the "born this way" concept |
J2381:Is this a joke? |
abduleez1:Gaga is the new Cher, now that's a singer who can act because she learned both at Julliard not someone who's buzzing fans won't let us hear word when they say she can't act |
abduleez1:Which means it will be good because this makes me want to see it more. Remember when the first saw movie came out and how they all panned it to the floor |
Matheusmartin:Wow... I saw this yesterday and I was completely speechless, the same way I was speechless when Darren Young was supported by the entirety of the WWE when he came out, for such massive macho sports, wrestling and football seems to be getting modernized |
Princeton92:Yea |
house10s:Well straight people are not the only ones who exists |
house10s:So, queer kids don't exist, only straight ones do? |
Congrats, I hope his career isn't affected but anyway he's white so it won't be. Michael Sam was the first NFL player to come out only for his career to be in shambles because of his race but Carl Nassib came out and he's still flourishing |
WesternOligarch:No, in terms of beauty, middle east asian and southern asian brown and are the most beautiful race in the world followed by Latin people before other races |
Nickshrapnel:Well some straight women too love gay porn, my cousin would eat James Baldwin books up coupled with gay movie scenes that If anyone dare skips, they are in trouble. In the east Bara, BL and yaio are marketed to straight women especially. Straight women especially white straight women are the most writers of gay romance fiction from Anne Rice to Lois Bujold to Diana Gabaldon.... I think there's an article about this https://electricliterature.com/why-are-so-many-gay-romance-novels-written-by-straight-women/ |
It's easy to celebrate Nigeria when you at the comfort of other countries |
Wait.... What? |
Generalwoodz:Never mind, you are straight |
descarado:I think it stems from creativity and artistic expression. The queer community dominates the art from Hollywood to contemporary art and pop culture, a straight don't really have the time to be thinking about what goes with which but a queer man will make time |
Generalwoodz:You missing out but ok |
Generalwoodz:Watching is different from experiencing. You have to experience it to judge by yourself... Lol, it doesn't have to be gay, it could be pegging since you are straight, you could try it with your gal if she's adventurous |
Generalwoodz:And that's where assumption stems from |
shopwiser:Lol, say it louder for those at the back |
Generalwoodz:It's obvious you are straight. Piece of advice: Don't speak on something you know nothing about because it's obvious you haven't tried it |
Lagusta:Oh.... My bad. Most bloggers should be educated on writing articles like these. In a same sex relationship, they are both boyfriends or girlfriends if they are lesbians |
Hakeem12:No, he's gay. He came out after being with her for 20 years, they share a child together though |
Lagusta:Where in the article did you see "girlfriend"? Anyway, the boy is obviously a golddiger like his previous young boyfriend, he likes them young. He changes these men like how room rich men changes women |
Soulsymbol99:Duh... Because it's fashion, mostly a woman's field and no one can beat a gay man when it comes to fashion |
Karleb:I never said you were homophobic, i'm just calling out the implicit bias I saw |
abduleez1:I know but the first one is far more established |
Karleb:Where was this energy when characters that were written as queer but was given the straight treatment in their live action series back in the day? MIA.... That's the bias i'm talking about because it never affected you but now that the power dynamic have shifted, you are crying fowl forgetting you benefitted from the system but now the odds are no longer in your favor. Give it time, this phase will pass and everything will go back to exactly how you left it |
Karleb:You are a black man in Nigeria, again.... Not a minority Uhhh.... you do realize that queer BIPOC exists right? And I will take you seriously if you show a straight person that was killed or sent to conversion therapy for being straight And you literally just said it yourself, "a character can be anything in the comics and movies gives room for adjustments", it's the writers universe and the have the creative liberty to change anything they want. I was just stating my opinion that I really don't care if they change the dynamics of a fictional character because it's not real I'm still waiting to see how the splash reboot works with channing Tatum playing a merman and the black superman movie and I was just calling out the bias that nobody said anything when queer comic book characters were straight washed back then but the reverse is the case today To conclude it all, i'm always open for change because these characters are not real and will never be real so it doesn't really phase me if they deviate from the source material |
Karleb:Well you never know oppression until you are put in the shoes of under represented minorities. There are lots of queer characters from comics to other source materials that were straight washed but no one batted an eyelid because it didn't affect us. Anne Rice threw a fit when studios tried to straight wash her protagonist in her "vampire Chronicles" series, thankfully she's bought back the rights and she will be involved in the production of "interview with the vampire" series. Comicbook characters from Mystique to Stakar to Harley Quinn have been straight washed and no one said a thing but a minor representation and we get our wings in a bunch. I don't really care though if a character is queerwashed or straight washed because at the end of the day they are all fictional, do that to a non-fictional character and I will be pissed off |
abduleez1: i'm pretty sure the first theory is the correct one |
oyaskii:Exactly, it's the pandering I hate but I guess it's a huge part of market politics, like just make him bi, no need to announce it, just like Abduleez1 said, Wonder woman is bi but it isn't really explicit. Anyway, I thought no one gave a damn but the fact that there was an outrage made me realize I was wrong, the pandering is so needed because this isn't a problem but in 2021,people still made it a problem |
