Algerians are also player haters. They fired a reporter for reporting that Morocco made it to the semifinals of the world cup.
That's moroccan propaganda , wich reporter was fired ? His name ?

Algeria didn't invest in their domestic game as much. That's why you barely hear about an Algerian club doing well in CAF competitions recently.

Morroco on the other hand, have invested handsomely in their home grown players and its a matter of time, they will have a steady flow of world class players which can sustain the legacy being built now. One of the best midfielders at the world cup, Ounahi came from their system.
.
For this year CAF league , two team in Quarter final and one in Semi-finals is not bad for algerian football wink

Same for the year before . 2 teams in Quarter final

Yes, they are first of all Arabs. They moved from Arabian Peninsula after end of Roman Empire, bringing Islam.

Same way we are blacks or Igbo, Edo, Yoruba, Kanuri before being Nigerian or African. Geographically Morocco may be on the African continent, racially, culturally and spiritually, they are Middle East/Arabs. Fact.
Totally wrong , before roman empire colonize north africa , there was the berbers , the natives first inhabitant of the maghreb ( north west africa) with there kingdoms and civilisation . And these population is the same until nowdays , same as british colonization of nigeria changed language , religion .... But havn't changed the Dna of nigerians , the long list of colonizers who succeeded each other in the Maghreb ( phenicians , romans ,Byzantines, Vendals, Arabs, Spanish, Turkish, and French last ) havnt changed the dna of berbers . And for info during antiquity , africa was the name of only a region in algeria , tunisia , lybia , it was only hundred years later that the name africa , africans was generalized to the rest of the contient , so berbers are even the first original africans wink

And also , the definition of Arabs, includes any population that uses Arabic as its first official language , most coutries, called arab are not arabs by dna . ( North africa , middle east syrians , irak , libanon , palestine ...) the true arabs by dna are only in arabian peninsula .

if, for example, nigeria tomorrow decrees the arabic language as the first official language of the country. it can legally submit a request to join the Arab League and if its request is accepted, it will become an Arab country

Pic 1 Here on the pic a Dna study of tunisian population . You can see that they are mostly berbers by dna .
Pic 2 africa during antiquity . And first africans

It's not enough to make an Arab nation Arab? What are you saying? They just joined the Arab League today?

Nairaland is such a funny place. FYI, Morocco joined the Arab League as far back as 1958 many, many years before anyone here was borne.
So for you , they can't be both arabs and africans huh ?

DontBullshitMe:
Geographically, Moroccans are Africans 100%.

They are Arabs by ethnicity.

Make Una stop this nonsense abeg.
Wrong .

Geographically they are africans 100%

Ethnicity they are berbers not arabs , and berbers were the first people called africains during antiquity . Africa was in antiquity a region in tunisia algeria , libya . It was only hundred years after . That the name africa , africans was generalized to the rest of the continent .

So it's always funny to read some stupid sub saharian comments saying that they are not africans grin . They are even the original africans .

And for arabs they are arabs because by definition any poeple that use arabic as first official language are arabs by definition wink
