U discussed dis one before nd I understand until dis point..... Like track 3 satellite! One frm the top!! Maybe astra 4... Den d last one frm east! Intelsat 65.. Den nss5 @ west... Like dish moving frm east to west... No sideways movement.... Bt wot am toking about is d pole (aquator) is it aquator....d jack... How u set the pole to move the dish by itself.

All divergence rays coming from the satellite in the sky will bounce on your dish.Your dish will converge all the rays into a particular point while the sub reflector picks the rays into a straight line and send it into the throat of your lnb.
If the sub reflector is too big it might affect your signal quality if you are handling a prime focus dish.it works efficiently with off set dish because all rays bounce on the surface of the dish at offset angle to the lnb.

....actually how it works: the 90cm dish receives a signal from a particular satellite then reflects it to the subreflector..and from sub reflector to the lnb! Making the signal more concentrated @ the sub reflector ..as double reflector dish!..

As you can see from below diagram ..how I used a flat circular surface from a 1.8m pan dish..as sub reflector to lock CCTV China on eutelsat@36east 12034V27500!with Ws-6906 sat metre!.on dstv position..this is an experimental double antenna reflector setup..in this case the lnb is not looking at main antenna!but at reversed position..pointing to the subreflector..the main purpose of a subreflector!if set up properly!is to improve overall efficiency of the main reflector!

wow intense!! This is more difficult that inverted setup! It still haven't sink in! Is it that u track 36degree with d 90cm dish and den decide to turn d lnb backward! Cox d last time I tried blocking my lnb with my hand while facing d dish, it loss signal! Isn't the sub reflector blocking the signal? Or does it affect d signal in a way or the other? From this setup I consider maself already a mediocre.. I been think sey I don master every technique in satellite!... I'd like u to hmu on whatsapp or any social netwrk! Lemme know more from you!$

there is no harm in trying. gurus in the house, I was able to nail Intelsat 68.5e ku(MYTV) using the INVERTED dish method.

I wanted to try this out for ages but! Tv wahala!!!!! I neva see tv to test am with!!! I wanna knw the angles and distant.... Nyc work dude!!!

So dis is d decoder that people ve been toking about!! 4922D hmm let's compare it to our 4922A decoder let's see! Strong keep giving me reasons why I shouldn't patronize them again!

@flashberry, the multi tv LNB is higher than the amos 5 LNB to the left while standing at the front of the dish, i use pipe strap and tin iron to hang it, but to all thanks to my sat finder that made the work so easy for me.

wat did u use as ur lnb holder for multi tv! And I'm a bit surprise cox its way closer dan it ought to be. D primary nd offset lnb seem to be in equal length and height. Wats up!

yeah cox me dnt like sweating!! I haven't track for longer dan 20minute before except on cband!!! Cox experience frm here and wen I jst get to a plc I jst get d cordinates and on my blackberry pin point d position but dat 4950 even if u pin point it, before d green show e go dey wait 1st and it cn even run down back asap!!! I wonder wats up with that decoder oo!!! I prefere those 4669 and odas dat I cn see their green as bold and ok dan dis one.

It will be useless to u because u dnt use it. You only judged by people's comment. Have u used 4950hd b4? If no try it. I have worked on the both decoders b4 but I prefer to use 4950hd and dat is wat am using currently. I used it to track the following satellites: amos5, Eutelsat36, astra2, intelsat 20, intelsat12 and nilesat7w. All in one decoder.

well I ve neva use it to track for real cox the green moves so slow!!! And I believe dat if I track on 4669 for 90seconds I'll track with 4950 for 25minute with no green. Cox everything about it is slow except scanning!! Even to open stations it'll slow @ 1st nd den show bk.

U people should stop dis agument pls. 4940 and 4950 are higher than 4922A. I have read people's comment here saying their 4922A cannot open some channels while those channels are opening freely on the aforementioned decoders. Examples are SS3HD, fox sport and some other Hd channels.

d truth is dat dat 4950 decoder na useless decoder to track with cox its too slow!!! I neva use 4922 before shab but I tink it will be faster judging frm peoples comments

The most painful thing about this Eriteria tv2 is that, they show epl, ucl, laliga, ligue1 WITH GOOD ENGLISH COMMENTARY! It is a Station that give their lives in showing live matches with good english commentator. check if u see astra 2B/2A sumtin lyk dat.... If u dnt see it dats u ve to upgrade ur box... Nevertheless u can still use any ku sat to track..regardless of d sat.

It has taken a while but as promised these are the pictures of the renovation works
carried out on my 3-in-1 motorised COMSTAR dish recently.

Brief sypnosis:

1) Jack was getting stuck in one position too frequently
2) Signal loss on mostly the KU lnb and circular C band
3) Troubleshooting results pointed to a weak LNB and too small jack wire

So, off I went and swung into action.

1) Changed out circular C band lnb from STRONG K5 to K6
2) Changed out under-performing Ku premium 2 lazer lnb with Pauxis 0.1db lnb
3) Changed out regular jack wire and replaced with 1.5mm 4-core flex cable
4) Changed out under-performing so-called heavy duty jack in favor of regular 24inch jack

Result: My dish is back and better.

EMMAACHILE: Depends on your location. In Kogi, a 1.8m dish will pick mbc 1-4, action and max with about 65% strength quality. Those in south-south nigeria like Lagos should go for a minimum of 2.4m dish to receive it.

I have been reading the mbcs at NILE 102 7w were gone.
Some are saying they are showing sports.
Some are saying they will move to NILE 201.
Then I go to lyngsat-maps and see a footprint map of eutelsat 7WA NWA beam that tells me a 1m dish should pick it up.

Which one is it abeg na?

One full and fit answer for a guy who wants to go and buy a dish, to get mbc 1 2 3 4, action movies etc. (that when it moves to 201, I will still be able to pick it up)

pls d mbc on nilesat 201/102/101 isn't gone... Dats 7w! Its d one on east position dat is gone.... 12728 v 30000 nd 11191 v 03210, sorry if d frequency is wrong its gone nw sef, nt important .d one on nilesat west position is still working very well... I think.. And someone did d installation lst week in dis forum nd posted us pictures.. Check previous page. And d one on badr 4/5 is working well still... These sat can be nailed with 2.4m dish and above with ur ku lnbs...

graphicicon: @all the gurus, for the issue of the inverted dish that was placed under the ceiling, it is not possible to get 36e and 68.5e on one 60cm dish, cos the azimuth different is too much, weather u use inverted one or normal one, it wouln't work, unless on 1.8m dish and above thats when u can use inverted method on it b4 it will work.

dude it will work ooo... Judging frm d knowledge on light ray in relation with our satellite I bet dat pix is so correct... If u cn get amos and joy and den dstv with amos or joy, its possible to get 68deg nd 36... Buh which eva 1 m using as primary will gain more signal dan d offset one attached.. (36 and 68) nd mind u, if ur thinking of d srtD85w setup wif dis one, its nt same @ all cox dat1 is sidway movement... Buh dis we re going vertical... I ve pictures I would ve share to explain dis more btter buh anyway I hope u agree wif me a little.

@graphicon... Hmm dat tin na disec problem ooo! It happened to me one day on joy + mytv. I wan cry. I con dey look like mumu. Check ur disec well.. Ur lnb,(if possible try it if its working on anoda decoder) ur dish if its well aling, den put it as ur port 1. To see if it will show. If it show u nw knw hw to go about d rest weather to change disec or to charge port. Dat day ehh.... I nearly cry. If I remove am frm disec it will show green, immediately I put disec it shows red..ahh before I con use brain handle dem one one.

nah mpeg2 isn't useful again. Jst try get a nice mpeg4 decoder. Cox even if u have as many dish as possible u cnt enjoy it @ all. Even joytv u cnt nail it with pictures in dah box. So jst try get anoda receiver to enjoy ur dish sir,

nice work.. This is it!! Jst use 12303 V/H27500 or d tp u had 11919 H 27500 u cnt go wrong wit dis tp.. And if it can be done on a 90cm dish it can be done too in 1.8pan dish.. So jst go ahead nd follow d picture here.
