FamilyThe Sacrifice Of An African Male Child by Flashydstunna(op): 6:58pm On Aug 06, 2021
This is a typical story of an African male child who although trying his best not only for himself but for his family, seems never to get it right.
Is it a curse or is the world just against his kind?

Emeka was just an African male child like any other from a poor background in society. Seeing that his parents could not really afford to give him a good proper education and take care of his other siblings, he decided to go work for his uncle. In this part of the world, leaving your parent’s house to go work for a relative is a form of an apprenticeship program in which one will be settled as agreed upon by the relative (usually an uncle or aunty) upon the completion of his apprenticeship. Settlements can come in various forms. The Superior can choose to give the apprentice money to open a shop or the superior himself establish another shop for his apprentice. This program is usually a thing of pride that comes with many expectations.

Emeka like any other considerate and hardworking young man hoping to make a way for himself and his family in an unfavorable society left Lagos after high school in search of greener pastures in the east. He was to tend his uncle’s automobile spare parts shop.
But it is said, “the only place where a man is truly king is his home. When he steps out in search of daily bread, he automatically becomes a commoner who begs, weeps, is insulted, and sometimes humiliated and humbled”. This was Emeka’s situation the minute he stepped out of his parent’s house in search of a greener pasture. He knelt down before lesser men and was demeaned by clients. All these he took in undignified but internally proud knowing that it is by his submission that bread is guaranteed for his family in the future. For him, submission was a matter of survival.

His submission did not go unrewarded. In a short period of time, his uncle’s shop experienced success like never before. With Emeka’s submission tactics, customer satisfaction increased, and usually in any line of business, a happy customer is a returning customer. 3 years down the line, his uncle’s shop became one of the top shops in town that deal with automobile spare parts. His uncle became more influential and benevolent as he was invited to almost every gathering or get-together in town.

It was time for Emeka to be settled after working for his uncle for 5 years, his uncle started finding faults and reasons not to settle him claiming he has been incompetent. This is a common phenomenon. Superiors in order to avoid settling the apprentice usually come up with allegations against him or her. These allegations are usually based on accusations of theft and shop mismanagement. But this was not the case of Emeka because he was as diligent and honest as one could be.

Disappointed and powerless, Emeka left his uncle’s shop back to his parents in Lagos with nothing but his tail between his legs. This was the kind of heartbreak that could send any mother to her grave early. Her son’s effort wasn’t only wasted, he was also known as a thief in town. A title one doesn’t recover from in a lifetime.

But every man has the right to chase his dreams and his mother understood this when she asked him what he wanted to do with his life going forward. Emeka realizing that education will only be a burden to the family opted to do business. He told her he rather start a small business in order to support the family from time to time rather than go to school and be relying on the family for fees. His mother, understanding that his decision was thought through and the best for the family, gathered all the money she had saved and collected from friends and gave it to Emeka to start a business. Emeka knowing the gravity of the mother’s gesture relocated back to the east determined to make it on his own this time around.

FamilyFather's Love: by Flashydstunna(op): 4:54pm On Jun 20, 2021
There was once a man in my life who I thought didn’t care because he didn’t do the little things like give me a hug regularly or tell me how much he loved me just because he knew that was what I wanted to hear. Instead, he would cloth me, provide food, accommodation and made sure I got a good education, the one his money could afford.

There was a man who was tough on me but soft and tender to my sister because he believed the world was not compassionate enough to an average man especially one that has nothing to give or offer. He taught me to always have something to offer rather than just expect love and compassion for no good reason. It was his own way of telling me “I love you” and it is called tough love.

Talking was never his forte so he had his old collections of country music to do that for him. He was a man who couldn’t find the right words to express his emotions at times so he would communicate using his country music collections. He would play “It must be love” by Don Williams and “Buy me a rose” by Kenny Rogers as his way of telling my mother “I love you”. And Instead of telling me “I love you”, he would borrow the words of George Strait. He would say “let me tell you a secret about a father’s love… Daddies don’t just love their children every now and then. It’s a love without end, amen”. Although he is no more, I still feel his presence in these words.

PoliticsConsequences Of Nigeria's Policies by Flashydstunna(op): 12:20pm On Apr 30, 2021
What if I told you Nigeria will be better?
Funny right? I mean considering all recent activities, where is the light at the end of the tunnel coming from? We have become an embarrassment worldwide.

First and foremost, it is no news that a lot of companies are fleeing Nigeria due to unfavorable economic. Now it seems like the government through The Central Bank of Nigeria (C.B.N) are fighting Financial Technology companies. It seems the booming FinTech industry spells doom for the banking industry in Nigeria. Because more youths are willing to invest more in FinTechs than leave their money in a bank with little or no interest. Imagine trading with FinTech companies and cashing rather than leaving your money in a commercial bank just to receive about 1percent interest probably after a year. Now factor in inflation and you will realize that by playing safe and putting your money in a bank, you are still losing your money's worth

SportsThe Full Story Behind The European Super League And UEFA Contest by Flashydstunna(op): 9:35am On Apr 20, 2021
From The ESL proposal, the competition does not affect these teams in their various league in any way. It is meant to be a midweek competition leaving weekends free for league games (as it is the norm right now). So the argument about fans not getting to see their local clubs play should not be the case here.

Threats about local leagues expelling these founding members of the European Super League cannot possibly be serious. Take away the so-called top six: Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool from The English Premier League and the league will not just be the same. It would lose its prestige and revenue. The same can be said about La Liga with Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, and Barcelona currently occupying first, second and third respectively in the league. From Serie A, I fail to see how they can cope without AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Juventus. Yes many praise The German Bundesliga teams like Dortmund and Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) of Ligue 1 for turning down the idea of the super league, the one has to wonder, for how long? With JP Morgan financing this project, it would be hard for these teams not to join the moving train or be left behind.

Do not get me wrong, UEFA has the right to deploy whatever means they deem legal to try and fight or stop The ESL from taking off but they should not drag fans into this. They have no moral right to claim they are doing this for the fans. Everybody is after his or her pocket including UEFA and may the highest bidder win.

Do you still believe Nigeria will get better? Is there still light at the end of the tunnel for Nigeria or the lack of power supply makes it difficult to see?
Well if I am asked, I believe Nigeria will get better. Maybe not in this generation, maybe not in this lifetime, and definitely not with these policies by the Nigerian government but it will. Even if it is in the life after.

Meritocracy
If we had a system based on merit and equity, a lot of first-class engineers would not be driving Busses

The foundation of our nation has always been set up to fail. That’s the reason we find ourselves where we are.

On the issue of our educational system, the flaws come from a deeper mental deficiency. We were colonized and thought to memorize and not ask pertinent questions. The more you look deeper or ask questions you’re seen as too inquisitive or too arrogant.

EducationIs Education Key Or Scam? by Flashydstunna(op): 11:03pm On Apr 05, 2021
Ever since I read something on mentorship, I have been thinking, if I had dropped out of school like my friend Emeka did to learn a trade, would I have been better off than I am right now?

Now it seems like I am just struggling to get a good job. No pay seems to compensate me for the stress and time wasted at the Federal University where I wasted 5 years of my life just to come out and get a job after 3 years of actively searching. In my first year out of school, I was quite selective. Dreamt of getting paid in foreign currency but the longer I stayed at home waiting for the appropriate offer, the more I became a disappointment to my parents who have invested so much in me. So it was a high relief when I finally got a job that was willing to pay 60,000naira. I try not to think about the fact that I went through school just to be receiving a reward of just 60,000naira in this kind of hard economy. To put this in perspective, I earn just less than 150 USD as my reward for spending 5 years in a tertiary institution but considering that it was hard to come by, I am quite very grateful.

What if education is a big scam?
What if they lied to us when they told us education is key? Besides, it is hard to believe that readers are leaders when your country’s president cannot read properly in a country filled with scholars and Ph.D. holders.
And to think of it that one day, the history books will carry writeups about an illiterate that couldn’t read and our kids will be forced to read about it and even tested based on such history books. And to think that some of them will be considered failures based on their inability to comprehend why they even had to read about an illiterate in the first place.
Maybe, just maybe education as a key was just a stereotype used by the masters to force the slaves to read about them and keep their memories alive even far after they must have passed away. Why must I have to read about someone that lived his life on his terms just to learn how to live my life better?

CelebritiesSamuel Etoh: From A Drop Out To A Renown Artist by Flashydstunna(op): 4:44pm On Apr 02, 2021
Etoh’s journey as an Artist started in 2011 when he decided to drop out of school for his passion. He was studying Computer Engineering at the time but needed time to focus on his Art so he took the bold steps to drop out move forward, and not look back.
As one would expect, dropping out of school just to pursue a career in art and as a florist did not sit well with his dad. Although artistically he was outstanding, financially he was very down. And after his basic training as a florist, he landed a full-time florist job in 2013 just to support his art financially but it became increasingly difficult to make out time to draw working as a florist.

One faithful day while delivering fresh flowers to Ms. Donna Claire Aldrige (M/D Vapour logistic NG/UK) at the hotel room where she was lodging, he had the opportunity to present his portfolio and some of his artworks to her. This was the ‘lucky’ case of when hard work and preparation meet opportunity because it so happened that Ms. Donna was the first person to buy his Artwork titled ‘Don’t Give Up’ and eventually, she became his manager and sponsor. And up till this day, Etoh is eternally grateful to God for blessing him with Ms. Donna as a manager.

Investment6 Easy Ways Of Earning Passive Income by Flashydstunna(op): 11:32pm On Mar 10, 2021
Too much money is not enough money. Nobody I know ever says ‘I have made enough money to last me a lifetime, I don’t need more’. Not Jeff Bezos nor Elon Musk and definitely not Aliko Dangote. In fact, these billionaires keep looking for new ideas to make more money or passive income.
What is Passive income?
Passive income is the income that requires little or no effort to earn. It is what a lot of people refer to as side hustle.
There are numerous passive income investments that can supersede your main income if taken seriously.
Let us face the truth, you can never be financially independent working an 8-5 work. And one of the way easiest way to gradually achieve this independence is through passive income.
It would be a great service to share some of the passive income investment ideas youths can use to get financial freedom.

It should be noted that passive income investments are not get-rich-quick schemes. It requires learning to achieve financial freedom through passive income.
Some of the smart examples of passive income investments that have been tested are:

Politics7 Reasons Why Nigeria Cannot Continue Like This by Flashydstunna(op): 11:20pm On Mar 02, 2021
Is being born in Nigeria a crime?
In the Christian religion, it is believed that marriage is for better for worse. I guess this is the Nigerian language because except for the Northern region, others are no more seeing better times ahead in this union called Nigeria but are not being allowed to leave. In fact, these regions are threatened to stay.

In the history of Nigeria, there has never been a worse time to be a Nigerian living in Nigeria than these times.
Well maybe during the civil war between Nigeria and Biafra which many Nigerians do not know the full story because that part of history is conveniently not taught in schools. We only rely on hearsay from the lips of those that might have experienced it one way or the other probably at their tender ages. It seems the ESN is not fully acceptable by the Nigerian Government but why is that?
Could it be because the order to form such an outfit came from the wanted outcast Mazi Nnamdi Kanu? Or maybe it is because the eastern governors have not come out to fully endorse ESN the same way the south-west and northern governors have endorsed Amotekun and Hisbah respectively.

The Directorate of State

18TH February 2021

They Have finally Brought the War Upon the Biafran People.

The Nigerian government through its military has finally declared open confrontation with the Biafran people in their bid to harass, intimidate and cow us into submission to relinquish our ancestral lands to foreign Fulani terrorists.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide must gird their loins and be prepared for the long drawn out battle ahead. The leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra make bold to state unequivocally that there

The Nigerian army has thrown the gauntlet and we the Indigenous People of Biafra

We MUST defend every inch of our ancestral land and we MUST defend our inalienable right to live in the land of our ancestors as a free people to develop our CHUKWUOKIKEABIAMA given talents for the benefit and elevation of our people just like our ancestors did thousands of years before us.
