paradigmshift: for me i have used both, poweramp is better.. the other kings and overall best is dolby atmos and viper.. Poweramp is better yes but its damn ugly.. Also m not an audio engineer so I don't need the excessive sound tweaks it offers.. So hence why I suggest the inbuilt Miui sound engine + Stellio for people like me.. Its all a matter of preference P.S. Poweramp no even reach ViperFX for audio.. That one na god of sound |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by flawless911(m): 7:50pm On Nov 10, 2019 |
Stellio is just more beautiful Comes with an array of elegant themes
I personally don't need the extra audio tweaks that come with Poweramp because I control my audio already via MiUi Dirac Engine

U don't necessarily need Poweramp to enjoy music on your Redmi device.. Because MiUi has a powerful inbuilt sound engine called Dirac.. U can adjust and fine-tune your sound and turn any N500 earpiece to an home theater
The best part is, it works for all apps, so even watching Videos on YouTube or watching movies with any video player becomes an entire experience on its own.. Literally every source of sound is affected by whatever you set there, including games
You can choose whichever earpiece type of sound u want to simulate and still fine tune it with the graphic equalizer.. I use Stellio music player because its simply the most gorgeous and feature rich player.. Personally, Poweramp is just ugly
MiUi 10 users navigate to Settings/Additional Settings/Headphones MiUi 11 users navigate to Settings/Sound/Earphones To adjust the Dirac settings, u must have Earphones plugged in

omoadeleye: Well there's limited amount of memory storage that a phone can handle, it was before that all these manufacturers always state the maximum amount of memory storage that a user should insert in their phone... Bro the average Redmi can handle up to 256GB of storage what are u saying.. We re talking about Storage speeds |

wamiikechukwu: true... I plan to keep all my videos, pictures and music on the sd card, while apps on the internal storage.

Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by flawless911(m): 9:33pm On Nov 09, 2019 |
okikiosibodu: In all, I stil love my RN7, will choose it over any other device any day. I only wish it had dedicated mmc tray and also wish apps can be moved to mmc, without forming as internal storage.. Sometimes I try to drain my battery to 0% and start charging afresh but it seems like an impossible task. Since I bought the phone, the batter y has never died. Moving apps to sdcard will only make your fone much much slowerThe read/write speeds of an sdcard, no matter the quality, can never be compared to that of your internal emmc 5.1 storage.. And this is very crucial for app execution speeds Sdcards are ok for media and general files tho But am used to the internal storage life now, don't want anything slow in my fone |

okikiosibodu: 3gb. But I in don't open several apps per time. I close the ones I don't use I had same experience with my former 3GB RN5.. MiUi is very heavy on RAM, as such I recommend minimum of 4GB ram for new users If u are tech savvy u can try flashing Xiaomi.eu, it's a very lightweight Miui based rom.. With a lot of optimisations and better ram management Otherwise u can try going into Settings/Apps/Permissions/Autostart and disable Autostart for all apps except your social media apps like WhatsApp.. Check my screenshot for an idea of what I mean

okikiosibodu: Yeah. I have noticed it for a while now but didn't bring it up here cos noone has ever complained here that I have seen. I use the gestures (I hated it at first, but now I just can't do without it: It's the thing I love the most about the phone, esp toggling apps with gestures. It's fun watching people in their confusion as they try to operate my phone). When I am using an app for a long time and sudden switch to home screen, it sometimes take about 3-5 sec for all the icon on the home screen to display. Only the wallpaper shows at that brief moments, before the screen flickers briefly also as the icons appear in quick succession. As advice by my senior Xiaomite, wil wait for the official release for version 11. Probably they noticed some bugs and are trying to fix it. Me no get time and energy for downgrade Na 3GB or 4GB ram RN7 you dey use? |

NCANCHAIR: Thank you so much. So there's no way I can use MTN 4G on the CC9e, right? Because somebody here was talking about installing the Global ROM software in the CC9e, don't know if that could be possible. And how is it gonna take for the delivery by NOOBODY ? Thanks a bunch for your time. Yes u can't use MTN 4G on CC9e because it lacks the required LTE bands Global rom has nothing to do with LTE bands.. It can't add or remove LTE bands.. So your best bet is the other options I showed u if MTN 4G is your priority Contact or DM Noobody privately for details on your 2nd query |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by flawless911(m): 9:49am On Nov 08, 2019 |
NCANCHAIR: Hello Guys. I want want inquire about the CC9e. Is the Xiaomi CC9e available in the Nigerian market and what is the price range? Please any idea from somebody very vast in this product, And where I can get it.
Prompt and explicit responses would be highly appreciated. Thanks Fam Mi CC9e is available in Nigeria as Mi A3; Same cameras same processor same build, the only difference is A3 runs on Stock Google Android while CC9e runs on Xiaomi MIUI Now if u want a slightly similar hardware and build, u can get the Note 8, same Processor but CC9e main camera is a Sony lens while that of the Note 8 is a Samsung lens, but same 48MP So U can get the Note 8 or Mi A3 directly in Nigerian stores like Slot, Pointek, etc Also one major advantage is that these ones in Nigeria officially support all our LTE bands so u don't need to worry about that one You can put these into consideration as well just in case u don't want the hassle of ordering from china directly But if u really want the CC9e meet Noobody for express delivery |

kallmemrB: bro you are taking this more personal than I imagined... Its just a gadget.. And it's not a must u like my views.. U can just ignore before u start telling me about ur birth history lol.. Whether am controlled by my gadget or I control it.. All falls on me.. SO Bros chilax and face front... Can I add Sir to make u feel important Lol.. Taking it personal is yr unnecessary calling of names, opening different threads just to defend a gadget, being summoned at the mention of an ordinary phone, that's taking it personal.. U are free to heed or discard whatever advice u are given.. But sha remember, Redmi 9 is coming out by April/May, may u be strong enough to defend yr precious 8 till the end Peace |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by flawless911(m): 1:06pm On Nov 07, 2019 |
kallmemrB: not doing it for point or anything... Just encouraging people that are buying it because nairalanders sometimes are kindred of Satan himself Kindred of Satan over fone of 50k.. And that's exactly what I'm talking about.. U feel any opposition to yr purchase is of the devil himself, u are being controlled by your own purchase.. And that's wrong.. You froth at the mouth when any ill is spoken of yr device, even that which is true or not, u feel the urge to defend yr machine.. U are being controlled by what u are meant to control.. This is only a fair warning because I've been in yr shoes 6-7 years back on this same Nairaland Log off, do something else with your time and gadget and don't get tensed up over the opinions of strangers on an anonymous platform.. Whether people love yr Redmi 8 adds and subtracts Nothing to your person |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by flawless911(m): 1:00pm On Nov 07, 2019 |
kallmemrB: this is one huge problem about nairaland.. Everyone automatically think they know it all and know everything about everyone.. For Once can u just Shut up.. Have used more flagship phone than you may ever think of in your life... Me using Redmi 8 is a choice for me.. I only have6-7 songs and TV series on it.. That's why I bought it.. I don't expect a 50k to give me a top notch performance so keep ur epistle to urself.. You don't forking Know me.. Since I bought Redmi 4x from nobody this year to know more abt Xiaomi I have used my share of it and phones.. So Bros Abeg The Sun is out, dry that ur Brain Exactly and if U keep defending everything u buy to strangers on the internet for imaginary points, u'll eventually burnout.. No need to be rabid about it.. Its just facts.. Las las na u go tire |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by flawless911(m): 12:00pm On Nov 07, 2019 |
kallmemrB: not rezlly the performance is pretty OK.. Dont follow SND number... It all depends on functionality
https://www.nairaland.com/5514547/snapdragon-processors-ranking-complete-list#83801636 You're experiencing something we all once did when we didn't know better about tech called Buyer's RemorseOpening an entire thread just to defend your purchase is one of the worst things that can ever happen to someone in tech.. Someday you will understand Relax and unfollow this thread and actually start using your phone instead of defending it.. Control your purchase, don't let it control you.. Because soon, tomorrow you would be able to buy something much more better, who knows, maybe the latest Flagship.. Then you'll look back at all these things you're doing now and realise............. |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by flawless911(m): 11:58am On Nov 07, 2019 |
kallmemrB: why... You want 855+ performance in a 50k phone abi are u from the Indian tribe of Nigeria ?? Stop attacking anybody that talks about their experience with Redmi 8.. Nobody appointed u Redmi 8 ambassador.. Redmi 8 is currently one of the weakest in the Redmi Lineup, so take a chill pill and have a seat.. Everybody is entitled to air their reviews and opinions.. Don't be a blind fanatic fanboy |
