Wife Seeks Divorce Over Husband’s Failing Manhood A 32-year-old woman, Kate Ude, has prayed an FCT High Court, Jabi to dissolve her four-year-old marriage to her husband, Michael Ude, over malfunctioning of his manhood. Part of the petitioner’s prayers before Justice Vera Venda, was to declare that there was no marriage in the first place between them. Kate alleged that Michael’s manhood always have inconsistent erection and that anytime the manhood becomes erect, he ejaculates within few seconds which was not expected of a real man. She also alleged that the man did not make known his health status before the consummation of the marriage which took place in Calabar, Cross River, in 2014. The petitioner also said that during her traditional marriage, Michael did not show up as he was represented by his younger brother. Kate also said that it was at the registry that she got to know him very well and prayed the court to nullify the marriage. In his response, Michael who also filed a cross petition to divorce the woman, denied all the allegations, when cross examined by the petitioner’s lawyer, Mr Ishaka Awaliene. “The non-erection of my manhood is not regular, it is just that l am not always in the mood whenever she is in the mood. I don’t use any enhancement drugs for sex as she alleged,’’ he said. Ude also told the court that there was a period in June 28, 2014, when Kate left his house that she was no longer interested in the marriage. According to Michael, she later came back after some months and decided to leave again. He said that his family made a lot of efforts to unite them, but instead of her yielding to the calls; she resorted to insulting his family through text messages. Justice Venda adjourned the matter until Feb. 6, 2018 for adoption of final written addresses from both parties. Source: https://www.vanguardngr.com/?p=893828

Reps Probe Alleged Contract Scam In Defence Ministry ON NOVEMBER 15, 2017 By Levinus Nwabughiogu ABUJA— The House of Representatives has mandated its Committees on Defence, Army and Public Procurement to investigate an alleged contract scam running into millions of Naira in the Federal Ministry of Defence. The resolution was sequel to a motion moved under matters of urgent public importance by Tajudeen Yusuf (Kogi State, PDP) at yesterday’s plenary. Yusuf, while moving the motion, said: “The entire media space has been awashed with an alleged duplication, misappropriation and mismanagement of multi-million naira contract in the Federal Ministry of Defence. “Some high ranking appointees and officials in the Ministry of Defence were allegedly involved in the contract scam that has gone viral and not in sync with the efforts of the Federal Government to fight corruption.” According to him, the contract is for the relocation and refurbishment of level 2 hospital under the United Nations Multi dimensional integrated stabilization mission in Mali. The lawmaker observed that the level 2 hospitals which were funded by the United Nations and awarded to countries which contributed troops/ Police to global peace missions, carried out limited surgeries, including life, lamb and organs, on officers and men on military duties. Yusuf also raised concern that the scandal blew open, following United Nations’ directive that Nigeria should move the level 2 hospital from its present temporary camp at Timbuktu airport in Mali to the more secured new UN super camp also in Timbuktu. “In desperate bid to cover its tracks, the Ministry of Defence in February 2017, allegedly awarded a contract for the refurbishing and relocation of the hospital to a contractor who had zero experience in installation of level 2 hospital,’’ he said. Put to voice vote by the speaker of the House, Yakubu Dogara, the motion got the nod of members. Source:https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/11/reps-probe-alleged-contract-scam-defence-ministry/
