The withdrawal totally makes sense and is long overdue, bold step from the minister I must say. If you ain’t proud of being a Nigerian, why hold the passport?? |
Good! It’s time we preserve the sanity of Nigerian citizenship and prevent identity fraud |
Irregular migration and overstayers is a pandemic across the globe, it is only right for partnerships between countries to curb this and at the same time have the interests of her citizens at heart. |
For IOM today such, means there has been noticeable improvement in that sector. Good! |
Finally, someone to keep these agencies in checks. The mind set of “after all, na government work” needs to be totally eliminated in the Ministry |
Time to crack down on these illegal immigrants |
This interior minister, he is a credit to Mr President, a credit to his family and a credit to Nigeria. He has been outstanding since day one |
Keep touching lives. God bless you |
The IGR target of the ministry of interior was 2 billion naira but the ministry generated 5.6 billion naira. The ministry was able to achieve this by leveraging existing contracts, enforcing obligations and doing value-management. He wasn’t referring to the agencies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlLxlbW303M?si=KtAdTMTvJVUdqFai |
His reforms are visible, kudos to him |
May God replenish them a thousandfold. |
Really encouraging to see. It’s good to see the work being noticed and conversations on how government and creatives can work together to support growth and national development. |
Honestly, an unscheduled visit to any organisation/institution remains the best way to get first-hand information and the reality of what has been happening. |
This minister remains calm, not intoxicated despite holding such mighty position, only focused on his reforms. Hats off Hon. Minister |
I won’t lie, that particular Minister has been outstanding. I wish others learn a thing or two from him |
Finally! This has been lingering for 11 years and it’s now a reality. This is the beginning of regional security and I pray it is successful |
Training and retraining of officers is really important to help dem become fine officers. I like these surprises/ unannounced visit by the Minister, it shows the real state of the place when he arrives, kudos to him. |
Nice gesture Hon. Minister. It’s good to see real attention being given to training and performance, that’s how lasting change starts. |
This Minister, no excuses, no complaints just steady work delivery |
Good job from Mr President and Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo this is a morale booster for all officers. Congratulations to the newly promoted officers. |
So no more waiting years to collect passport? This man is making life easy for average Nigerians ooo |
Many people already pay far more to agents. If the official process becomes faster and smoother, then I see the issue about the cost. |
He came and he transformed the ministry of interior under two years. He deserves all the flowers he’s getting. |
Well done to the Nigeria Immigration Service for moving to faster and smarter technology. This is a big step that shows real progress! |
A smart and thoughtful move by the Hon. Minister. Talking with the US about visa issues helps build stronger ties and shows that Nigeria is ready to follow global best practices while keeping our country safe and respected. |
This shows strong leadership and true commitment to public service. More passport centres have been opened in Nigeria and abroad, all without using government funds. Well done. |
Clearly, the Minister did his homework. These are the kinds of positive reforms expected from public officers. |
Good! This should be a warning to other corrupt officers in the agency. |
Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo is right, relying solely on budgetary allocation to fund the police is unsustainable. Exploring alternative funding is crucial for tackling Nigeria’s growing security challenges. |
We underestimate what technology can accomplish, but an IT person came and showed us that technology can make life really easy. So many intellectual innovations from him. |
