Nairaland General5 Smartphones & Gears To Show Love This Valentine by Flinger(op): 11:03am On Feb 11, 2016
It’s the season of love, time to show that special person or persons they mean the world to you. It’s St Valentine season once again and well, we all have that special person or group of people we would love to spend time with, and give gifts of reminders of how important they are to us.

This Valentine’s Day 2016, instead of the routine chocolates and red Roses, you get your woman, why not get her something techie? Something she would love to have, maybe a very pretty brand new smartphone? Instead of polos, perfumes, under wears you get your boyfriend/husband, why not get him a smartwatch?

We’ll be looking at 5 really cool smartphones and smart gears you could use to show love to your dearest this February the 14th.

5 Smartphones and Gears that says “I love you”
https://www.mobileif.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Apple-iphone-6.jpg
Apple iPhone 6: Actually, nothing says I love you to a lady like an expensive gift. The new iPhone6 would be the perfect way to say I love you to your special significant other. While not restricted to the female folks, but ladies are more crazed with the expensive devices.

https://www.mobileif.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/ASUS-Zenfone-Selfie.jpg
Asus Zenfone Selfie: Recently launched Asus Zenfone selfie is another device you could gift to your significant other this Valentine’s Day. Ladies are selfie crazed and this device can capture real badass selfies. What better way to tell her “I love you, and want you to keep being yourself” than to gift her a selfie phone to express herself? Enough with the roses and chocolates, get your woman a nice self-esteem boosting device for a change.

https://www.mobileif.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Smartwatches.jpg
Smartwatch: If you are dating or married to a techie guy, there’s no better gift than a tech related gift. Most guys would prefer Gaming consoles, wearable gears, Shoes, Clothes, and other kind of gift for him, but most ladies tend to stick to the fragrance, clothes gift items. Why not try a tech related gift for him for a change? A smartwatch for him could spice up the love in your lives, as most guys tend to appreciate the woman in their life who gives them tangible gifts. Enough of the pair of jeans, singlets, boxers, packet shirts gifts for him, give him something to remember you by. Something he’d be able to happily tell him friends his bae got him.

https://www.mobileif.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/beats-bluetooth-headphones.jpg
Bluetooth Headphones: These days, almost everybody seem to be deadly engrossed in music and as such, almost everybody have their headphones tucked in on a daily. Headphones would be a great way to say I love you to your numero uno, as it’s pretty an essential toolkit for this generation. You could go for notable brands like Beats Audio or Skull Candy, colors should be based on who’s on the receiving end. A female would be appreciative of either Pink, white or Blue headphones, while a male would love it black, or red.

https://www.mobileif.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Selfie-sticks-1024x1024.jpg
Selfie Stick: As awkward as the selfie stick is, it’s a pretty decent gift you can get for your girl. Most girls these days love selfies and the selfie stick could aid a better selfie taking. Only thing worthy of note is that in addition to the selfie stick, be romantic to add a box of chocolate and/or a perfume as additional gift items.

PhonesInnjoo Two Review - Aesthetically Pleasing, Powerful, Cheap by Flinger(op): 2:48pm On Nov 21, 2015
It’s no longer news that Innjoo mobile, the makers of popular flagship Innjoo One smartphone and ‘top three most loved’ smartphone company in Nigeria was bringing to life the follow-up of last year’s flagship. The new flagship device from the Dubai based coy is tactically dubbed ‘Innjoo Two‘, and like the super selling previous flagship device, this new Android trotting comes with a pack of pretty interesting specifications at a price competitors would shiver for.

Innjoo Two… Beauty to behold!

Innjoo are particularly known for awesome aesthetics. Devices made by the coy are beautifully crafted and handy. Being an Innjoo user myself (Innjoo One, which always wow people whenever it’s out on display), I can authoritatively say that there’s no competition for the most beautiful devices among the three kings of the Nigerian mobile market. Innjoo phones are all about beauty!.

The new Innjoo two is not just beautiful, but corrects the errors of the Innjoo One which is what should be seen in a follow-up device. The new device utilizes 2.5D to give the device a more detailed curved edges. The full metallic back-cover/casing of the new Innjoo Two is a massive improvement from the glass-like cover fitted in the Innjoo One which could crack open if it falls, not forgetting the device is pretty sleek with measurements of 7.3mm thickness, meaning it’s as thin as can be, even if not the thinnest device in the world, but for it’s properties, it’s a huge plus. The device also weighs just about 126g, so it shouldn’t sag your trousers or feel as if you are lifting bricks each time you pick up your device.

https://www.flingsmobile.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/innjoo-fingerprint-sensor.png
Probably the talk of the town on the new Innjoo Two is the fingerprint sensor. Of course, fingerprint sensors are the order of the town, and ALL mobile OEMs are fitting their flagship devices with the sensors. Innjoo isn’t left out. The new device is fitted with a 2.0 fingerprint sensor which adopts the latest module of fingerprint detector and recognition algorithm, the sensor recognizes and responds to your touch immediately, at a high speed of 508PPI resolution which takes just about 0.46seconds to unlock your device. Fingerprint sensors provides you a wholly new way of smarter and safer operations. The touch ID lets you unlock your phone and take photo simply by using your fingerprint. You are able to do more with the advanced sensor easily and securely.

https://www.flingsmobile.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/innjoo-two-camera-1.png
For photo loving folks, you are not left out as the new device seem to favor selfie loving lads. The device is fitted with dual 13MP shooters. So, you will be getting 13MP 85° wide angle camera sensor in front for selfies as well as at the back of the device.

Probably skipped the most important detail which comes first in detailing a device, but not to worry, we didn’t forget it. The Innjoo Two is a 5.0″ HD IPS screen device and is fitted with dragon tail glass which is supposedly stronger than Gorilla Glass, we’ll leave the comparison for another day, the device display offers pretty clear definition with pixel density of about 294PPI.

If gaming is your intention, there’s a powerful 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage on board which romances an Octa-core CPU based on a Mediatek chipset, so you should be having fluid game play on the device.

The Innjoo Two would run on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, customized with Innjoo’s own InnUI. The device is powered by a non-removable 3200mAh battery. Pricing of Innjoo Two is put at about 36,000Naira and will be available in time for Jumia Black Friday according to a reliable source. Who knows, the first few lucky people to go shopping for the Innjoo Two could just get super lucky and have it at a reduced price.

I’m just shocked not much of us have decided to explore ways of enjoying premium usage of smart devices through the use of various mobile accessories and gears. There are a variety of smartphones out there today and what most folks do with them is just listen to music, play games, go online and make calls.

We’ll be detailing some pretty cool accessories and gears which could be beneficial to you in many ways. Spice up your cravings for entertainment, make your social life easier, aid your multi-tasking or just keep you trendy and techie.

Selfie Stick
https://www.flingsmobile.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Selfie-sticks-1024x1024.jpg
If you are a photo-loving person, who crazes about taking pictures almost every where on almost every occasion, then a selfie stick is your ideal accessory. You don’t need to go about looking for who will help you take that photograph. You just get your selfie stick connect with your smartphone and boom! You’ve taken the perfect photo of that precious moment. Selfie sticks are currently trending and among the hottest selling mobile accessories now, you shouldn’t miss the chance to evolve with tech, so go get that selfie stick today!

Smart Watch(es)
https://www.flingsmobile.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Smartwatches.jpg
We can’t be talking of the best mobile accessories and gears and ignore this fan favorite. Smartwatches are here to stay, and ease our stress. There are various types of smart watches of course. Some of them feature support for SIM card, thus can be used to make calls, surf the net etc. Others just run your normal smart support, notify you of mails, receive calls, check calendars among-st others. Samsung, LG, Huawei, Xiaomi have all fully entered into the production of these lil piece of tech and have a variety of products, Apple also do have it’s Apple iWatch as well. There are also tons of various smartwatches by various OEMs trying to meet the ever increasing need for the devices. Smartwatches are actually a fun, stylish, classy addition everyone should consider owning.

3D Virtual Reality Glasses
https://www.flingsmobile.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/3D-VR-gear.jpg
I got hooked to a 3D VR glass and became enchanted!. I used it to watch a 3D left right movie – Sin City, A dame to kill for – the experience was awesome! I’m currently stock piling a whole list of 3D films I would be seeing with my new toy. 3D VR glass making was inspired by Google Cardboard VR which is a pretty cool innovation (OnePlus 2 is coming with it). I believe these are awesome gears you could use to enjoy cinematic viewing pleasure where ever you are. You can also use them to play 3D games of course. I already own one, I believe you should too.

Smart Mobile Remotes
https://www.flingsmobile.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/tasogo-ir.jpg
We are evolving to a smart world, so everything is getting smart. There are smartphones, smart TVs, and now smart remotes. I recently got hooked to a smart remote made by Tasogo, the device promised to control quite a lot of your devices and appliances with just a single app. I of course bought one for myself and I’m super thrilled! This little gadget fits into the 3.5mm port of your Android device and works magic with your TV/DVD/AC/Projector. I use it on my 32″ Phillips LED TV and I’m not short of excitement. It’s probably one of the best things I’ve got at a rate cheaper than 2000 Naira.

3D Mobile screen magnifiers
https://www.flingsmobile.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Anti-Radiation-3D-Magnifier-Mobile-Phone-Screen-Expander-PS25439-PRODUCT-f.jpg
Mobile phones have small screens which kind of limit the number of people capable of viewing the device comfortably. Say for instance, you want to watch a movie with a few friends and/or family on your mobile, it’s definitely certain that not all the folks present would comfortably enjoy the viewing. This is very common in higher institutions. More than 10 people would be struggling to look at a 5.5″ device, pretty worrisome. The mobile magnifier helps magnify the image while ‘still retaining’ the clarity. Works just like a projector, only smaller on a 10-15″ screen. The best part is the device is foldable to aid transportation. This is another of my new found play toys. When I’m watching a useful tut on youtube with my droid, this is how I get to see all the infos as clear as can be. Definitely worth checking out people.

Got any useful mobile accessory you feel we ignored which should be among this list? Please do let us know in the comment form below.

PhonesMTN Nigeria Rolls Out Matrix Phone Trade-in by Flinger(op): 7:09am On Sep 18, 2015
MTN is always on the look out for ways of improving new and existing services to better customers life. It’s no wonder they were the first to start the mobile phone trade in sometime in 2013 in collaboration with Nokia, which allowed users to trade in their old Nokia devices for new Nokia devices. The service was however terminated following undisclosed circumstances.
https://www.flingsmobile.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/mtn-matrix-phone-trade-in.png
Fast forward to 2015, MTN is at it again. The number 1 mobile telecommunication network in Nigeria has started a revamped phone trade-in system, this time with MATRIX Certified Pre-Owned Nigeria Limited, a leading name in pre-owned devices. Matrix is currently in partnership with SLOT to offer phone-swap/trade-in with customers by exchanging with a little payment for the new device. MTN- Matrix trade-in is expected to follow suit with the simple procedure being used by SLOT and Matrix .i.e. a customer is expected just walk into any MTN store, hand in thier old phone, pay the price difference and walk out with a brand new phone.

At the moment, we are not yet sure of the brands eligible for the phone swap from MTN. SLOT Limited have just four brands eligible – Blackberry, iPhone, Samsung and Nokia. It’s likely MTN would retain the same brands as SLOT. We would be expecting a feedback from the telecommunication network.

Elephone has earlier been announcing the Vowney, and there are rumours saying it could be coming in two variants (which I am still yet to confirm) one of the variants is said to feature a 3GB RAM, while the other 4GB RAM. There are also talks of the device coming with either Android OS or Windows 10 OS.
