Make sure it is on 4G only mode if your device supports that through the settings Menu or you can google how to force android to 4G only mode if it isn't available in the settings menu.

I actually downloaded an app that forces it to be 4g only.

Samsung Galaxy J5 prime supports band 40 so it should work.

If you still want to get a Mifi, get the Huawei E5573s-606 Mifi, supports Swift some other networks too. Price is around 10k to 15k for a used one.
