This issue of mass failure is one that should not be taken lightly. It is obvious that this problem is overwhelming because it is widespread over many countries such as Nigeria, Ghana and Gambia etc. As with any problem if we don't address it from the root, it will fester and continue to spread. One major problem is the method in which the children are learning the subjects especially Mathematics. Starting at the primary school level students are bombarded with formulas and theories which they are expected to memorize, which does not build a foundation for understanding math concepts. This follows throughout there school career and by the time they are ready to sit for exams they lack the knowledge and skills to pass. The are depending on us to provide a solution that raises the standards of education. At the 3rd Annual Conference of Ministers of Education of the African Union in Johannesburg South Africa, Frontline Television Limited demonstrated an interactive video program that builds math skills. The material was commended by different ministers from several African countries and is currently being used by the Nigerian Airforce primary schools. This program can be used by anyone who wants to improve their math skills. www.frontlinetvonline.com https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brVn64F9eUc For more information: info@frontlinetvonline.com |
