The United States will once again delay a full ban on doing business with Huawei, saying that rural communications companies needed the extra time to switch their equipment away from products made by the Chinese tech giant. https://i1.wp.com/flushreview.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/IMG_20190815_040109_794.jpg?fit=1280%2C854&ssl=1 President Trump initiated the Huawei ban in May with an executive order directing his administration to restrict purchase and installation of critical communications equipment from “foreign adversaries.” Full implementation of the ban was quickly delayed, though, with a 90-day reprieve allowing Huawei to continue sending updates to phones and maintaining existing networks and equipment. “SOME OF THE RURAL COMPANIES ARE DEPENDENT ON HUAWEI.” That 90-day ban ends today, but US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross appeared on Fox Business this morning to announce another 90-day extension, which will end around November 19th. “Some of the rural companies are dependent on Huawei, so we’re giving them a little more time to wean themselves off,” Ross said. Huawei’s networking equipment has been an affordable option for smaller telecom companies, and those customers are now in the tricky spot of having to pay to replace that equipment and install new parts. Ross said an additional 46 subsidiaries of Huawei are being added to the ban list today, bringing the list of subsidiaries to more than 100, and making it harder for Huawei to continue to do business in the US. Ross called the addition of those subsidiaries “the big news today.” Huawei called the addition of new subsidiaries “politically motivated” and “unjust treatment” that had “nothing to do with national security.” The 90-day extension “won’t have a substantial impact on Huawei’s business,” the company said. Despite the temporary reprieves, the broader ban on doing business with Huawei has still caused major problems for the company. A number of major tech firms have cut off ties with Huawei, limiting its access to critical software and components, like Google’s Android and Intel’s processors. The Commerce Department has yet to grant a license for any American company to continue business with Huawei. Ross said in July that the US would begin issuing those licenses “where there is no threat to US national security.” Source - https://flushreview.com/usa-gives-huawei-another-90-days-licence-before-full-ban-takes-effect/ |

You know what has so far been missing from WhatsApp and Instagram? Facebook. The social network may have owned the two services for many years now, but how would ordinary people know that? Also, doesn't it seem to you that Instagram and WhatsApp are just... too short and to the point? Not convoluted enough, perhaps? https://i1.wp.com/flushreview.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/PicsArt_08-03-06.06.49.jpg?fit=1092%2C689&ssl=1 Well, this 'bug' is going to get fixed soon, according to a new report from "three people familiar with the matter". Facebook has already notified Instagram and WhatsApp employees that it plans to rebrand both apps. So ladies and gentlemen, get ready for "WhatsApp from Facebook" and "Instagram from Facebook". See? Not short anymore, nor to the point, nor lacking in convolution. Problem solved. One has to wonder how long it will take before "Boomerang from Instagram" becomes "Boomerang from Instagram from Facebook". Don't say you haven't been warned. Until then, a Facebook spokesperson confirmed the change coming to WhatsApp and Instagram, saying: "We want to be clearer about the products and services that are part of Facebook." With all the negative media attention it's received lately, it's anyone's guess why Facebook would think it a good idea to inform Facebook haters across the world that, by the way, WhatsApp and Instagram are also from that company. Back in June, Realme first teased its 64MP quad camera smartphone. The company didn't give us a date then, but it appears the phone's development is nearing completion as Realme has announced a "Camera Innovation Event" on August 8 in the Indian capital New Delhi where it will reveal more about its 64MP quad camera technology. https://i2.wp.com/flushreview.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/IMG_20190802_143752.jpg?fit=1200%2C675&ssl=1 Realme has launched dual camera smartphones - the 3 series and the X, and with them one of the cameras is a depth sensor. It doesn't have a triple camera smartphone, so launching a quad camera smartphone would indeed be a giant leap forward. Details are scarce about the camera configuration right now, but we are hopeful that Realme will throw in telephoto and ultra-wide-angle modules to accompany the 64MP main sensor. The fourth module will likely be a depth sensor unit. We reached out to Realme for more information about this 64MP quad camera smartphone and were told that the phone is still under development, but we believe it will be unveiled by the end of this quarter or the beginning of next. The most requested and needed feature by all GBWhatsApp users this month after some users were banned by WhatsApp from accessing WhatsApp. We don’t know yet what led WhatsApp to ban users who were using modded WhatsApp Applications like GBWhatsApp, WhatsApp Plus, and WhatsApp Gold. Hence the developers at GBMods have rolled out the update. Other than the anti-ban, the update also adds the ability to GBWhatapp by which the hidden chat count could be seen on the main screen.
