I was once in your shoes in choosing between umidigi and xiaomi products. After some research on Aliexpress comment section and other sources, I discovered a few things that discouraged me about purchasing umidigi:

1. their battery capacity is not always up to what you expect. meaning a 4000Mah umidigi may not last as long as a 4000Mah xiaomi

3. I'm not sure if. umidigi devices receive official android updates (like android 9 to 10 etc)

But when it comes to specs and price umidigi will pull you. Their a7pro is 4/64 (if I'm not wrong) while the 9a is 2/32 and both are almost the same price.

With xiaomi you have the liberty to install aosp custom rom, if you don't like their skin. Mention one thing that apple innovated since face id in 2018? Xiaomi, Huawei and oppo are leading the race in innovation .The only non chinese company that's competing with them is Samsung. Apple is not known for Innovation, there are known for their brand loyalty and ecosystem.

I was made a mistake by recharging airtel with *555# and and the airtime vanished into thin air. I called their customer care and they said the code was for getting 6times your recharge. I was trying to explain to him that I didn't even see any airtime balance in the first place and he just told me that is it INVINCIBLE!. GOD!!!!

I am still thinking it suing those bastards for using another company's code to recharge their own line.

The best way out is to use mtn glo for calls and because of their call bonus probably get an Airtel Sim for data if you live an area with a poor glo network
I would have recommended Glo but .....don't use them if you stay in an environment with a poor glo network
