"If you have any reason why this couple should not be wedded today please come forth and tell the Church" the Priest was saying as I was walking down the aisle towards the Altar.

My high heels was a little noisy and gradually heads turned and we're looking in my direction, it was as though the whole Church had turned and we're looking at me as I kept walking down the aisle towards the Altar.

Wow...you can imagine the look on the faces of James and Jane as they turned to see me walking down the aisle. Ah with wide open mouth James froze and looked white.

James my lover, getting married today to my best friend and I am in attendance walking down the aisle as the Priest was asking if anyone had a reason why the wedding should not take place.

You know something, I have never thought myself to be such a courageous person all my life. Yeah am strong I now, but then I am also an emotional person.

My friends at work place had actually told me not to attend this wedding, they gave me several reasons not to attend but having been sent an invitation, I felt I would feel stronger attending instead of crying my heart out at home.

It's been awhile I last cried for James but I may not be able to hold myself if I stayed home alone today.

The first week after I found out that my lover was having an affair with my best friend, I cried my heart out. I would hardly taste any food the first three days, I honestly wished my life would be over.

Over time I gradually overcame the shock and it's four months now since I found out. Today they are getting married and I find the courage to be in attendance.

Am a super woman.

I promised myself am gonna have fun today and am sure gonna do so.

Don't these people even have their own concept? Can you image that everything I planned with James is what they are doing here in this wedding?

From the color of the day, my choice and color of blazers to the location of their reception is all as I had planned with James. Could they not have thought of something else?

Looking elegantly beautiful, I entered Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Maitama the venue for the wedding Mass.

Initially I sat at the back pew but in a little while it gradually began to be hot back there, you know some of these Catholic Church with all the offerings they won't even put an air conditioner.

As I became uncomfortable back there I looked ahead and saw an empty pew with a fan directly above it and so I decided to walk up front so I could cool off a little bit.

That was the moment when the Priest began to ask if anyone had a reason for the wedding not to hold.

Initially I did not understand why heads were turning towards my direction, maybe because I was looking gorgeous I thought but then you need to see the shock on the faces of James and Jane when they turned back and saw me walking down the aisle at that instant.

Wow... thinking about it all now I laugh out load, wait ooo did they think I was coming to?

The whole scenario is just making sense to me right now, what did you think I was going down the aisle to do then Hahahahahah lol

No naaa how could I think to be an obstacle for them? When I said I would shock them today, all I meant was that I would attend their wedding. I believe they never expected me to be there, many friends asked me not to.

I am way past it now and I wish them a happy married life.

Did I tell you that........ this one is for your ears only. I met this cute guy at the reception today? He seems so nice and decent, only time will tell.

Am sure gonna jealously guard this new friend but I tell you something, if he is mine he is mine and if not, then he is not.

I love my life. #NittaLily

"How could you do this to me?" I yelled at James as he walked out of the bathroom. His eyes popped out in surprise as he could not comprehend what I was saying.

"How could you cheat on me with my best friend?" I yelled again, I seem to be loosing it all and the world around me was spinning.

As I played with James phone while he was in the bathroom, a WhatsApp message from Jane came in and she wrote "honey remember you promised to take me out to dinner tonight."

Tonight is my colleagues birthday party and James declined coming with me saying he has this pressing contract he must work on all night to deliver in the morning.

James is an IT guy with lots of clientele, I mean big clients. A multi millionaire at the age of 35, well built and handsome. Every woman's dream man if you may put it that way.

My imagination could not believe James would decline going for this party with me because he has a date with my 'bestfriend.'

How did things turn out so badly I sit and wonder sometimes? With an open heart I had introduced James to my friend Jane a few days after we began to date. As my best friend I shared almost every part of my life with Jane.

If I could turn back the hands of time..... something in me tells me this is not the time for regrets, I know that out there in the world is my true love. I am determined to find him someday.

I remember this one time about three months ago that I met Jane in James duplex in Wuse II. I had told James that I was going to spend the Saturday in a friend's place but then I remembered I had forgotten my phone charger at his place.

I drove by without telling James I was coming, I was surprised to find Jane in there, she said she came to see me and not finding me there was about leaving when I came in.

I honestly suspected nothing but looking back now, I realize something had been going on between then back then.

Now Jane tells me she is sorry she could not resist James when he made advances on her.
"But you are supposed to be my best friend" I said to her
"I honestly do love you Cynthia but I can't just tell how this all happened" she said to me.

What actually hurts me most is that my best friend and my lover started making out on the night of my birthday.

We were going to Secret Garden, Riverplate Park off Ahmadu Bello Way in Wuse II. They say it's the best Pizza place in Abuja.

I had insisted Jane come with us to celebrate my birthday with us after all she is my best friend. We had a little more wine and we were all tipsy by the time we left there.

Who went to the rest room first? James or Jane, I do not remember but they both found themselves there at the same time. Jane confessed to me that was the moment it all began between them.

James kissed her and she responded, she could not resist him she said to me. This part of the story is difficult for me to tell but they both came out laughing and the party continued.

Something in me tells me to poison them both or find hired assassins to take them out, "how could someone take your man away from you while you stand a watch?" the voice says to me.

I am not desperate and I believe that since I can't have him then he is not mine but I know what am gonna do.

Surely this one will shock them both.......

Jane is my best friend or so I thought, but it hurts me to think that she is wedding my lover this weekend. I want to think I am only dreaming but then I realize I am awake and it's all for real.

How could someone who claimed to be my best friend take my man away from me? Or do I say James is not man enough for me? Yet it hurts me so much cos I have always and will always love James.

Everyday I still think about the first time we met, I fell in love with him the moment I set my eyes on him. How could I forget the very first day we kissed? The tender and gentle kisses

My heart burns like an ocean of fire, I can only hope that I awake and it's all a dream.

It's barely one year ago at Jabi Mall, Abuja. I went to shop for a few personal things, infact I actually did not want to go shopping that day but in the end I decided to drive by and pick a few things.

Looking back now, something in me wish I never got in there on that day cos I would never have met James, but then for all the love we shared I have no regrets.

I was checking out some designer perfumes when he walked up to me, he was a little shy but then he confessed to me that he had been watching me for a while.

I said "hello" when he said "hi"and then he added "I am James" and I said "Cynthia". He looked charming and magical, he looked a woman's dream man.

Something in me right then told me this is 'one angel living among men' and I believed it. Truly he is an angel even though he is getting married to my "best friend."

We exchanges phone numbers and WhatsApp messages for a couple of days and then he asked me out on a date. Honestly I had been longing for that and had been waiting for him to say it.

Friday night was three days away but I longed for it like it were three years away. I got back early from work and had a quick shower, I actually got a new clothing for the night out.

James picked me up by 7pm and we had a dinner at the BluCabana Restaurant & Cafe. A memorable night it was.

We got back to my apartment about 11pm, fun filled and a little tipsy. I asked James to come have tea and so we went up together. One thing led to the other, we played and laughed and then in one moment we were so close to each other as my body ached and longed for him to hold me.

In one moment James held my hands and kissed my lips, my heart exploded within me. Such a tender kiss, I longed for him even more but then James simply apologized and kissed me goodnight on my cheek.

Wow... James is a gentle man and I will always love him.

In the past one year we have had our ups and down, fun times and times we had some quarrels though he always came back to apologize even when I was at fault.
