16 years on one project is serious dedication. Most people would have abandoned it after year 2 or 3 when things get hard. The fact that you kept going and now made it open source — that takes a different kind of discipline.

Not bad I must say. For this to be in pure PHP even when laravel is one of the best framework for stuff like this, then you really tried. Putting this out as open source is a nice gesture.

One thing I observed is that the page doesn't show URLs being viewed. You made it look like spa kind of page which of course is not bad but it doesn't give good user experience knowing that I cannot reload the page I am currently viewing. I will have to go back to dashboard.

For example, If I am in any page, like the detail page for the e shop product. if the page is slow and I wish to refresh the page, it takes me back to the dashboard. This is not a good user experience because I will have to click again to the detail page.

The Same applies to other pages too. The URL of each page should be in the browser for someone to refresh. Even in spa like applications, the URL is often in the browser for one to refresh if they wish.

Years ago, i and a team of five others worked to build what you now know as the portal of Delta State University.

Over the years, i worked extensively to improve my skills in School Management System. Let me tell you how a school Management system works.

With a school website, your students or their wards can check their results anytime and print it out via the portal. This is digitizing your record keeping and also encourage the system of "student record keeping". You can send a general email to all the emails of various wards without having to call them at all times.

With the system in place, each of the students get to have a matriculation(MAT NUMBER) number and can even view and attend classes remotely even during holidays. Ofcos with the additional of video zoom to enable a live lesson.

Students can make formal report to the school Management without fear of personal vendetta by any of the staffs.



Also, teachers get to have their own employee login and you can keep financial records of the staffs, when and how salaries are deplored.
