I drive a 2003 camry with I bought as nigerian used in July 2010. The car was okay until April 2011, when it had series of problems- engine jerking, engine going off in traffic, etc. Eventually, the mechanic changed fuel pump, plugs, and what have you. To cut the long story short, the brain box blew up shortly after and had to change it.

After changing the brain box, everything seemed fine, until last week when the brain box blew up again in traffic on 3rd mainlan bridge at 10pm .

I have changed the brainbox, and later took it to an auto service centre. They ran the diagnostics but found nuttin wrong. The mechanic however mentioned that there might be a fundamntal issue which they're finding hard to detect which might be causing the brainbox to get weak and eventually burn after a few months.


Right now, its working but the car goes off when I start it, unless I accelerate for a while and then start moving , so its not woring perfectly just yet. I would not want it to disappoint me again, and I'm not ready to change the car yet.

Ps any sugestions , kindly drop a note. I am considering taking it to Elisade or Mandilas but I doubt if they will do anything better than the auto service centre I took it to for diagnostics. Its a toyota accredited service centre as well.
