@ Ajanlekoko, well said. If not for stern warning and threat of reciprocal action by our govt, this embassies will not have changed their demeaning treatment melted out to Nigerians. For once we dont need to sleep at any embassy for visa again and no more defacing of our passport in the name of visa denials. Kudos to the govt.

@ All, a friend submitted his application to visit his uncle in UK during his leave period. He was meant to travel on 14th July and return back today (28th July) (2 wks) for resumption of work on 1st August.

Today makes it 27 working days he submitted and not out yet!

1. Does family visit apllication take this long!
2. His intended visit period in UK has elapse, what is the effect of this, with regards to his application?

You can re apply as soon as you are ready. Does'nt matter if it is in the same month you were refused. But make sure you address the inadequesies mentioned in your refusal letter. Good luck

Siena, dissagree with you. Foreighers ll definately loose their sleep if they are unable to secure visa to nigeria. It appears you dont know how difficult to get a Nigerian visa. Our visa is in great demand, at least if for nothing, for our oil. Whites are attracted to oil the way ants are attracted to sugar. Ask yourself why they are still at Niger delta at the risk of their lives.
