KWARAPOLY HND ADMISSION FORM REQUIREMENTS (FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME) .

Applicants for admission into the HND programmes will be required to have the following qualifications:

1. National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit in the relevant field and five relevant O/L credit passes at WASC, GCE, NECO and NABTEB at not more than two sittings. These credit passes must include English Language and Mathematics.

2. Evidence of one year post-ND Cognate experience (i.e. Industrial Training)

3. Applicants with Pass Grade in the ND will be required to have at least two years Post-National Diploma industrial experience.

4. Applicants for Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology (Post-Harvest Technology option) are required to have at least a Lower Credit grade at National Diploma (ND) programme in any of the following:
i. Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology
ii. Agricultural Technology
iii. Food Science Technology
iv. Agricultural Engineering Technology

5. Applicants for Metallurgical Engineering Technology are expected to be graduates of National Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering Technology only.

6. Applicants for Mining Engineering Technology are expected to be graduates of National Diploma in Mineral Resources or Mining Engineering Technology only.

7. Holders of ND Computer Engineering are not admissible into HND Electrical / Electronics Engineering Technology and HND Computer Science Programmes.

8.Candidates will not be admitted into HND programmes different from those they had in their ND programmes.

9. It is mandatory for HND Regular Applicants to fill the JAMB Registration Numbers used for their ND Programmes. Only Applicants with ND JAMB Registration Numbers will be considered for admission.

However, ensure you check both Inbox and SPAM/JUNK folders. If you eventually get the mail from JAMB, simply look for an attachment that comes with the mail. This attachment is a PDF file, named most likely as your JAMB registration number.
How To Check For JAMB Examination Slip

Login to your email, then check both in “INBOX” and “SPAM/JUNK folders” of your email and download the PDF file of UTME exam slip. If you have a printer at home, you can print the Exam Slip directly from the computer without having to visit the Business Centre or Cyber Cafe.

After downloading the UTME exam slip, then visit any Business Center or Cyber Cafe closer to you and log into your email, re-download the Exam Slip and ask that an operator should help you print the Exam Slip.

Please print two (2) Copies of the Exam Slip because you would be required to submit one (1) of them at the Exam Centre. You will then keep the other copy for reference.

NOTE: You don’t need to be in a hurry to print your exam slip. We believe JAMB will release a procedure to print this Exam Slip directly from their portal.

The West African Examination Council has launched an electronic information-sharing portal for candidates sitting for the November/December diet of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination.

According to a statement from the council on Thursday, the portal generates e-mail addresses for each candidate for better engagement between the council and candidates. It added that the portal would ensure that the council was abreast of user experience during registration, conduct of the examination and result releases on www.waeckonnect.com – WAEC Lunch e-Portal

The statement, signed by the Head, Public Affairs, Mr. Deminus Ojijeogu, noted that the portal, tagged Candidates Interactive System, would provide candidates with information such as change of venue, disruptions in time table and notification of results, among others.

He added that the platform which would be made available to school candidates next year would enable them to correct errors.

Ojijeogu said that the council had deployed “a new electronic information sharing and dissemination system/platform, otherwise called Candidates Interactive System (www.waecKonnect.com). This is to enable the council to communicate effectively with candidates during and after examinations.

“Candidates can interact with one another and get first-hand information and notification from the council by logging onto the portal with their unique bio data information that was used at the point of registration.

“This will also afford them the opportunity to acquaint themselves with current technology tools that will be useful for them in the future and know the Nigeria Examinations Committee decision on results.’’

As part of its Human Resource Development initiatives, NDDC is embarking on its 2017 Foreign Post-Graduate Scholarship Scheme for Nigerians from the Niger Delta region.

JAMB 2017 Mock Exam Holds on 29th April – Reprint your e-Slip now! The Joint Admission Matriculation Board [JAMB] has began dispatching the new exam center, date and time for the 2017 UTME Mock Test scheduled to now hold on April 29th, 2017. Messages are now being sent via SMS and Mail.

Many students who received text from JAMB, Confirmed this information, although they were told to simply check their JAMB Profile or Mail to view or download their Mock Test Schedule.

Some have also confirmed this information, stating that the 2017 UTME Mock Exam will hold on 29th April.

You are hereby requested to reprint your Mock Exam Slip (e-Slip) to confirm your exam centre, date and time.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has set a date for contender to check their enlisted messages on their JAMB profile to know their apportioned examination date and focuses.

The date scheduled for examination allocation dates and centers to be sent to 2017 UTME candidates emails is on 25th April, 2017.

All 2017 UTME candidates are expected to check their JAMB registered mails to see the date and center of their exam as is going to be sent to every candidates email box.

However, many candidates may not be able to see their exams centers and date on the said 25th of April, but according to JAMB, all candidates are to expect their Exams Dates & Centers in their mail boxes.

NOTE: You are not expected to go to a cafe or CBT registration center to check or reprint your JAMB exam dates, because as of now JAMB can only send your exam dates and venues/centers to your mail box.

The general entry requirements for all Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes are as follows:

Candidates are required to satisfy SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB entry requirements for the corresponding National Diploma programme.
Candidates are required to have completed a relevant National Diploma Programme not below LOWER CREDIT classification.
Candidates are required to have at least one year post- ND industrial work experience.
All candidates are expected to consult the Institution’s prospectus on the portal or in hard copy to ascertain their qualification for courses for which they are registering applying.

LASPOTECH HND ADMISSION APPLICATION PROCEDURE.

Applicants are expected to:

Log on to LASPOTECH’s website at http://www.mylaspotech.edu.ng
Click on the “2017/2018 Admission Applications” link on the Navigator plane.
Select the programme i.e.Full –time HND”.
Click on “Continue”.
Fill the profile form and choose a suitable username as your username and password of your choice (your password should contain alphabet, numbers and/or symbols) not less than 7 in characters, supply a valid and working email address and GSM number;
Then, Click on “Continue”
Login with your username and password;
Click on ”Pay” (you will make use of a Web enabled ATM card, Master or Verve card for your payment).
Candidates are expected to make payment of the sum of N7,500) only (Seven Thousand five hundred naira only), Exclusive of Bank charges.
Complete your application as appropriate
Fill the application form provided. Ensure that you provide accurate data at all times. In addition to your personal information, you will be required to provide your WAEC/GCE/NECO result as well as previous educational history.
Ensure you print out your Application form, fee payment receipt and keep them safely.
You will be required to upload a colour passport photograph of NOT MORE THAN 20kb in size.

The Bill for an Act to Abolish and Prohibit Dichotomy and Discrimination between First Degrees and Higher National Diploma in the same Profession/Field and related matters on Tuesday scaled second reading in the House of Representatives.

The Bill, if eventually passed into law, will end discrimination against Polytechnic graduates and remove the ceiling placed on HND holders, especially those in the public service.

The Bill, sponsored by Hon. Ali Isa J.C from Gombe State and Edward Pwajok from Plateau State, is entitled ” A Bill for an Act to abolish the dichotomy between First Degrees and Higher National Diplomas in the same profession / field and for related matters”.

According to him, those with first degree are placed on Grade Level 8, while those with HND are placed on Grade Level 6 or 7.

He said that in some organisations, degree holders were paid N100, 000 at entry level, while their counterparts with HND were paid N70, 000.

But, the lawmaker said, in other countries, technical experts were paid higher than administrators, adding that “the reverse is the case in the country’’.

Speaker Yakubu Dogara, who presided over Tuesday’s plenary, later referred the Bill to the Committee on Tertiary Institutions and Services.

This was founded as a critical component of education intervention programme for our host communities in 1998 and later opened up to the rest of Nigeria in 2003.
A total of 2,833 undergraduates from various universities in Nigeria have benefited from the scholarship scheme with a spend of over N600 million. The introduction of online application and use of social media (Facebook) for information dissemination in 2012 made the selection process more efficient and cost effective, and increased awareness.
