A video making the rounds online captures the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Local Government Inspector threatening some corps members including a nursing mother with a cane in Rivers State.

The LGI backed his threat by saying it’s a sin for one to provoke their seniors to anger. He added that corps members should always “move” when he is talking because if they don’t he will flog them.

Indigenous rapper, Remilekun Safaru popularly known as Reminisce has revealed that he initially thought he was jinxed, when his musical career refused to pick up during the early stage of his career.

He made this known during a recent empowerment program which held in Lagos state.

He said:

“My dad had always insisted that one must have some form of formal education before one chose to do anything (else). After my OND in 2003 (16 years ago), I met ID Cabasa. And that was how my journey started as a musician. I also met 9ice, Lord of Ajasa, 2phat, and G-Dog (who ended up being Olamide), through ID Cabasa.

“I thought I was a bit unfortunate when I started (my career) because things didn’t really pick up for me. 9ice ‘blew up’ and my siblings would call me, telling me to go and get a job, saying my friend was already miles ahead of me. Things weren’t working out for me then. There was a struggle but I kept pushing until my time came in 2010/2011.

However, I ‘blew up’ into responsibilities. When I ‘blew up’, I already had my first daughter. When I started making money, my dad advised me to set some aside for the upkeep of my daughter and that taught me to be responsible financially.

At the end of the day, no matter what one makes, there is some sort of pressure in the entertainment industry. One has to look good but one has to make sure one wears these things only when one can afford them.”

Ronke Osisanya Adedeji, Mother of YBNL boss, Olamide Adedeji was laid to rest on Thursday, April 5th, at the Ikoyi Cemetery, Lagos only close family and friends in attendance.


Recall that his mother passed away on his child, Maximilliano’s birthday eaarly this year.

May her soul continue to rest in peace!

We're pleased to inform you that the JAMB Mock Examination Slips for 2018 are now being distributed via Email by JAMB. Those who registered for 2018 UTME and selected to write the Mock Exam, using their correct email addresses should get it delivered to them in the coming days.

Remember that JAMB had slated the Mock Exam to hold on Monday, 26th Feb, 2018, while the Main UTME is expected to begin as from 9th March, 2018.

Those who indicated interest to write the Mock, and are yet to receive any email from JAMB can try login into their JAMB profile online to see if access has been granted to them to print the slip. If you have been granted access, please come back here and share with others, so you can guide us.
