Dying Bazuaye: Fashola intervenes
.Fashola immediately directed his Chief of Staff to move Bazuaye to Lagos and ensure adequate medical attention for him even if it will require flying him abroad.
After missappropriating billions in the health sector through his cronie tunji olowolafe he still intends to fly this man abroad . . .Wonders shall never end.

How do you know he will be using personal cash? ?it is not stated in the article. . .or do you work in the state house?

I know so much abt BRF & BAT, also abt Ajelogo/ Akanimodo. I'm a stakeholder in LAGOS Politics so y'all shd keep shut on what u know not!
since you are a part of the problem we are trying to fix in the person of corruptor governor general fashola your right to comment or speak on issues is compromised. .You are obviously a boy here defending the illegalities of his boss so why should we take anything from you as serious? ?

your judgement is based on the money u have been making and want to continue making.

one can tell from your profile you live in abuja and we all know what the cost of living in abuja is,  .you are living big on tax payers money encouraging brf corruptions, benefiting from it and boasting about it openly on a forum where there are constant wails and cries for a better tomorrow. .

If Steve's allegations against BRF are untrue why not charge him to court for slander, defamation of character and any other charges you deem fit? ?BRF can easily prove his innocence in this matter to us by charging steve to court directly or by proxy. .but he wont cause he knows steve has proof of evidence and brf will only be putting himself in more soup.

You have brought up so many allegations Mr. forpeace. And i believe you should be working to prove them to a judge in a court of law rather than trying to prove them to Nairalanders.

Why speak about courts when BRF has immunity? Why use mischief and attempt to capitalize on ignorant pple rather than present an honest and reasonable submission ?I guess ure taking after BRF.

I am happy to know we still have heroes in Nigeria.Steve Ayorinde ertswhile editor of the PUNCH newspapers is a hero by all standards. .For failing to engage in come and chop journalism with the Lagos state Government and upholding the ethics of true journalism he has been sacked ! ! !How callous u might say?well, that is the true nature of Fashola.

Note that fashola paid 25m naira for the Sun man of the year award. .slowly but surely,he is going to be exposed to lagosians in his truest light.

Read the abridged version of his petition below :

The petition details how Ishiekwene, known for his open and persistent criticism of corruption in Nigeria through his back page column in The Punch, intimidated, displaced and forced about five editors and several other editorial staff out of their job in a bid to protect and promote several individuals including corrupt politicians he collects millions of naira from as well as organisations where he serves as a consultant or director designate. The latest of such that brought out the expose against him is the allegation that he collected N15 million among other benefits from the Lagos state government to entrap and sack the most senior editor of The Punch, Mr Steve Ayorinde over the latter’s failure to stop publishing negative stories against Lagos State government believed to have engaged Azu, as he is often called in Nigerian media circle, as a consultant.

However, because I was unable to reach you before you travelled out, I have decided to write you a formal letter of petition and to seek your understanding in copying every member of the Board of Directors of Punch Nigeria Limited with a view to establishing that Mr. Ishiekwene’s action against me was informed largely by his alliance with the Lagos State Government as a Consultant who is strongly suspected to be on its pay-roll. Acting in a manner that he did against me suggested to me that he was duty bound to protect the interest of the Lagos State Government in the Punch titles.

I wish to remind you Sir, about some of the text messages that you got, one of which clearly revealed that the Newspaper houses that awarded the Man of the Year award to Governor Fashola either did so in return for N25million or got the said amount as reward for the honour bestowed on the Governor. The rumour was not unfounded Sir, and you can find out if the right investigation is carried out.

For certain other newspapers that were considered key, but which did not bestow such honours on the Governor, there was N15million largesse by way of contract to the Senior Editors, including, as I reliably learnt, Mr. Ishiekwene, who are consulting for the government. The need to watch the government’s back and either woo over or change unfriendly editors and journalists, where possible, was the charge to those senior editors.

In any case, part of the allegations by the True Face of Lagos was the disbursement of about N183million over six months to certain editors.

Sir, you may wish to know that the money that went as reward for the Man of the Year awards and consultancies for certain senior editors came from that pool.

I should state without equivocation that without being told, I knew that you would not have demanded anything less than fair and balance reporting considering the development over the revocation of your plot of land in Magodo GRA by Governor Fashola

And I see you talk about "real governance". . . Where have you seen one before since you've never left your backyard ? How do you know real governance is not what Fashola is bringing. . . Only we that have "sold our birth rights", "abandoned the country" and are "washing toilets in London" can claim to know. . and that's why when we see know nots like you, it's clear as day you know not what you talk about.

This guy brings Bus Lanes, Road signs, clearly defined Road markings, Clean roads, Street lights, transport system (Bus and Water - Train to follow), Road expansion projects, building projects, tarred roads, state-level employment, Orderliness at Bus stops, Parking restrictions, tax payments, CCTV, Beautiful parks. See what Leventis and CMS look like now. . . See what Oshodi looks like now. . .

ALL THESE WERE ALREADY LAID OUT BY BOLA TINUBU. . .FASH ONLY FOLLOWED AN ALREADY WRITTEN SCRIPT. .ASK AROUND IDIOT.

And you dare open your filthy mouth to talk about some messiah coming in 200? bringing "real governance" . . What the fu-ck do you know about real governance? You should run back into your hole and never open disease infested mouth until you are told to do so.

I KNOW RESPITE IS COMING. . .I WILL SOON BEGIN TO FEEL THE DIRECT GAINS OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY PAID AS TAX.

Babapupa, I hope you have seen the light very clearly.

As you can see, Tinubu and all the people leeching off Lagos State will not give up their easy payday that easily. They need to be blitzkrieged out of Lagos by all of us discerning Lagosians, who can see very clearly what is wrong and what is right.

By the way, Forpeace, redsun and all the other Fashola bashers, could you explain to me what the Bola Tinubu Diagnostic Centre in the Lasuth Complex is all abouthuh? Why is a private facility allowed space in a hospital funded by taxpayers fundshuh? Who does it belong tohuh How about the Critical Care Unit in the same hospitalhuh? Who is receiving the huge amounts of money being charged for its use (N300,000 per patient at the last check)huh

How about 4 Oyinkan Abayomi (former Queens Drive) Drive, Ikoyi? This particular property was a Lagos State Government Guest House as of December 2001. It now belongs to a private citizen. Who is the personhuh?

What exactly is Bola Tinubu's interest in Hi-Tech Construction Company, the obviously inept firm who seem to have cornered the construction contract for the expansion of Lekki-Epe Expresswayhuh?

On what basis were they awarded the ownership of that road for 35 yearshuh? Jakande built the original road within a space of 2 years without borrowing a kobo, and without issuing any bonds of any kind. Why is the expansion subject to a so-called PPP arrangement, if Lagos State was really making as much as N8 billion per month in IGR as Tinubu boasted severally during his administrationhuh??

These questions and more are begging for answers. Please answer them before anybody begins to even question Fashola's financial probity in this our beloved Lagos.
My brother,it will be impossible for me to answer any of this questions because i am neither a tinubu staff, acquaintance, associate or political party member. .i am merely an average lagosian who is appreciative of the work he did while in office because of the bravery and totality he went about it.

babapupa however who might be a member of the fashola govt might do a thorough job by answering the questions you've posed above.

thank you.

You are an idi.ot for what you have written.
You also have a big problem with reading and understanding.
Everyone that commended the post saw I where I was clearly getting at.
If you see the post as me "wishing and praying for Nigeria to go back to dark days" then you don't deserve the luxury of a user account on the forum.
Why don't you re-read the post and digest the post before making silly comments. . .

You will also be a big fool if you think that Fashola will be removed and things will carry on as usual. If it is that easy why hasn't Fashola's deeds been replicated in other states?

Hungry Diasporan do you care to tell me how many states have access to the huge funding Fashola has? ?and with an already semi developed state is it not easy to consolidate and improve where some other state governors are faced with the dilemma of having to provide almost everything from scratch?

It is obvious youre a fashola acquintance or drone. .your words reek of partisanship and clueless affrontation.

Why do you have the belief that Nigeria is on course? It is because of the things you've seen Fashola execute. If he is removed, things will go back to status quo. Simple as.

I believe Nigeria is on course because i am here on ground and i see the difference everyday. . the spirit has changed and people are more positive. .all else will follow suit whether or not Fash is in office. .Trust me,when you see real governance in lagos, you will be one of the first to begin to say how little fashola actually did.

Secondly,
You think every Nigerian in the UK is the same? You sit behind a pc and address everyone in the UK as hustling?
Your naivety can bomb Yar-Adua out of office. I have never talked about my status in the UK on this forum and I am not about to.
I probably contribute more to the growth of Nigeria than you will ever do in your entire life.

You contribute through your proposals you are emailing to the governor abi? ?proposal diasporans. . abandoned the country now they want to come and be chopping millions. .there's no more room for that . . .yes, either you stay and suffer with us and chop when it's time,or stay in london and wash toilets for the rest of your loife. .proposals from away will stop being honored soon.

Continue to identify with destructive elements and enemies of progress. You shall all be uprooted one after another . . .
Calling Fashola names. . . What have you done to help Lagos. . ?

I am taking a very strange position here and this is it.

It is okay and actually rightful to say "because he has done good for the state does not mean he is above the law" . . However, I can only accept this statement when there is a total structure and a near fool-proof code of conduct for the legislative and judicial arms of government.

Do we have a system that protects a governor from being removed from office by legislators acting in their own self interests? If the answer is yes, then carry on with the probe.

Do we have an ordinance that governance lives by which protects the office from political party lords? If the answer is yes, then continue with the probe.

Will this process open up a catalogue of cases of alleged corruption and financial misappropriation by past and present leaders for scrutiny and investigation. ?

Until we can provide a yes to these questions. . . This whole process is bullsh.it. I love to see Fashola probed and probably removed if guilty of the allegations. However only if I can be assured that the investigations will spark a chain of other investigations to follow. Past and present Presidents and Heads-of-state, governors, ministers, legislators, councillors, directors in public establishment and so on.

Until I can be convinced that we are prepared to take these steps, I cannot help but see the current on-goings as a one-off attempt at system correction which looks, feels and smells like another politically motivated campaign.

Let no one tell me it's about transparency. . . If you think so, you are a f.ool. Until we can fully probe the process of how the legislators got elected, how they raised their money, who gave who what, how much money was spent, how they got the money, how much money they have spent since they got elected, how much they allocated to their personal coffers, no one . . Not one single one of them can claim moral uprightness to call someone corrupt.

I know how this will end. BRF will be found guilty, impeached and a new man will be moved into office and then:

1. All contracts awarded by the previous administration will be reversed.
2. As a result, all works on major projects by the previous administration will grind to a halt.
3. After a few months of contractors chasing money, they'll get fed up, abandon part completed roads, gutters and buildings, count their losses and walk away.

4. After a year, we'll start throwing dirt on the streets again.
5. The homeless will return to the bridges - uproot all the flowers and make homes for themselves.
5. Area boyz will return to the bust-stops, tax the drivers and the drivers will pass the cost unto the passenger.  Bus stops will be knocked down. Orderliness at bus-stops will become a thing of the colonial era.

6. Traders will return to Oshodi.
7. Roadside trading will return and hence we will welcome back the traffic jams.
8. The new administration have suddenly discovered that Lagos state can generate more revenue that they imagined- N20b. They'll stick to tax collection and then share and spend the money, do nothing at all and come to back to tell you lot . . "What the F-u-ck can you do about it?

9. Big and life changing projects like the Expansion of the Badagry expressway, Lekki - Ikorodu road, Energy City, Eko Atlantic City, Lagos Rail and an array of privately owned idea and architectural edifices springing all over the place becos of the enabling environment will all come to a stand still.

10. The Lagos State bond, if ever was successful will never be repaid to investors.
11. The BRT buses will all be sold off while they still have value and their drivers suddenly have no jobs; the CCTV cameras, Solar panels will all be stolen after years of inactivity.

12. The chaos and filth will all return and then we will go back to being just what we have always known Lagos State to be. - The dirtiest, filthiest and most corrupt state in the world. Status quo!  cheesy

Now I wonder what we will be agitating for then.

The people deserve the leadership they get. . . Simples!
No wonder why youre in the Uk. .you have lost faith in your country and sold your birthright. .Rather than contribute you are wishing and praying that Nigeria goes back to the dark days. .Inshallah that wont happen. .The country is on course, national heroes are evolving daily and the people are getting enlightened. .Fashola is merely a John the baptist because the real jesus christ of lagos is coming. .

Stay in your London and be emailing proposals hoping for s huge score. . .we will stay here and build until the Lagos becomes one that even the British and Americans will come and hustle as you have gone to hustle on their land . .
