Noooo
Don't get me wrong oooooh
If you get to Ireland, you will do that or he can do it in advance to make it more easy
It's doesn't matter maybe you live in Ireland or not as long as you guys are married.
Having EUFM RP is like having EU P which allow to visit EU anytime at anywhere.
He can even get a lawyer to make it faster, I know more about German law, Austria and Italian law.
My friend got married to a German in Nigeria, she brought the cert to Germany and registered it and it's became official cert under EU law.
She invited him to Germany as her husband.
Got his RP within 6months becos German law is too craze.

It's makes Visa application more easy cos he will be inviting you as his wife and to some countries in EU, it's VISA free fee becos of him.
Thanks my brother. We will do as you have said. I'll keep you posted with our efforts.

Which passport is he using?British or Irish?
If it's Irish then he has to register you in Ireland and same goes to British passport also.
It's only when he register your married in his home country or his country of Resident that your marriage can be valid in EU, after that depending on the EU country, he select but your EUFM will be out within 3 months or max 8 months
Irish passport. So are you saying that I cannot apply for a visiting visa towards spending Christmas in Ireland except he registers our marriage?

seunny4lif:
Oooh now I understand.
Yes, it's still the same.
Pls tell him to register your Marriage in Ireland, so that you will not need Visa again to visit him.
You will be a direct EU family member meaning you have right to live anywhere in EU and to even school for free in some EU countries with your EUFM
Happy Sunday
Thanks. Do you think he can register me, being that I live and work in Nigeria and have no plans to move to Europe for now and also you know he is in Britain for now and not Ireland.

Pls let me get it straight.
You married a British citizen right? You have your Marriage cert?
It's more easy for you to live anywhere in EU, if he register your marriage in UK, so you can have UK RP.
Thats what am saying
I married an Irish citizen.
We got married in Nigeria.
Husband lives in London.
I want to visit him in Ireland for Christmas.
I will travel from Nigeria and he will come in from London. Then we will meet up in Ireland by God's grace.

Do you understand my drift now?

Good day lancers, I need advice on my interview at US embassy that is scheduled for Aug. It is a B1/B2 visa for The youth assembly conference. I work with one of the leading bank in naija. What should I expect and how can best prepare to minimize my chances of refusal. HAVE APPLIED FOR MY LEAVE AND I SHOULD HAVE IT ISSUED BEFORE END OF THE MONTH..
Your advice and opinion on my next plans will be sincerely appreciated. Keep it rolling
Check the USA visa requirements thread. You'll get a wealth of information from there. Please study your DS form like you'd study for an examination.

You cant travel from UK to Ireland

Your husband should get you a EU member family resident card since you are married to him.
I never mentioned that I would be travelling from UK. I said he lives in the UK but I live in Nigeria. So I would be travelling from Nigeria.

It is not advisable. Have u considered what if the visa is not out by your proposed departure date?
I was contemplating that as proof to show that i intend returning back.

Okay bye bye na. If you got the visa, would you have written all this long epistles. Its painful not to be successful in a venture, but it shows maturity in the way you handle it. You can't win all the time, you lose, you learn, you try again. Okay? Please stop all this rudeness crap, some of us learnt from the most rude and wicked lecturers in school, did we get up and leave school because we didn't like the way our teachers taught us. You know what's ironic? A VO on this platform will insult you (indirectly) and you will say thank you, but when a fellow Nigerian says something you don't like, you begin to talk rudeness.

------------------------------> \____________
I'm not sure about others but I'll speak for myself. I won't insult anyone so I don't expect anyone else to insult me. I'm not a slave so why would I say thanks to someone for insulting me?. The point remains that you must not garnish your advice with insults period.

As much as this page is very helpful and enlightening i must say that a lot of 'advisers' here are very rude and unnecessarily so. If you must contribute to a matter please read and ask questions before jumping into conclusions. I read a lot of so called "advice" here that were downright rude and uncalled for. If you have chosen to help people then stick with that otherwise don't garnish your so called advice with thinly veiled insults. Not getting a visa today doesn't mean a ban or the end of the world so please stop using derogatory terms on people you know nothing about.

Fpeter, Nairaland remains the best forum for Visa enlightenment. Here, you meet people from different field of study who are ready to help anytime. I "think" you used an agent during your registration and equally followed his/her advice or maybe you're new on this forum.

Don't worry, you have found the right thread......Nairaland. I want to make you understand that if you had reach out to people here for a mock interview prior to the real interview, you would not have answered that way.

While it is important to tell the truth, it must also be told in the best way/form. So, keep learning from here until you re-fire. I wish you well, just like I would wish myself in your future interview. Goodluck.
i filled my form myself and yes i read and asked questions on this thread too.

FrontPageLawyer:
It's just a logical reasoning. The Consul asked to know how your husband acquired the citizenship or nationality of that country and you answered "political asylum"

"Political asylum is defined as the right to live in a foreign country, and is given by the government of that country to people who have to leave their own country because they are in danger of persecution"

OP didn't encourage you should lie, but with the definition I put up there and the Consul know full well that if a man (head of household) becomes a target, the wife is directly affected. You have a lot to explain in your next application and you must convince the next VO why you failed to abscond with your husband when the "bad people" were after his life.
I said we met abroad, that is after he had been living there for years. Not that we got married and then he traveled afterwards.

The VO was not a wizard to have known your husband lives abroad, it was the information you supplied. i guess you did not prepare for this question of "how did your husband get there?" this your response is now in there computer, i guess you really need to work hard on the defence subsequently.
Should i have lied about where my husband is based? I don't understand.

it does not count. don't worry about it alot of people with U.S visa applied for visa lottery.
Thanks. Please one last question, my half brother invited me in 2013 when i was denied so i had to also state it this time around that i have someone in the USA. Now, he is my blood brother from a different mother(American mum) but we are from the same father. My father adopted the American woman's first son before they got married. The adopted son bears my father's name, we have never met and he doesn't relate to me and so i didn't add him as my brother, would that cost me anything or i should explain to the VO before interview? I didn't add him because we don't communicate.

Hello house please, i need some clarity.
I applied for the Visa lottery that cancelled in 2012 or so, do i need to point that out also during my interview?
I already stated that i was denied in 2013 at my last interview but i didn't include the visa lottery because i felt
it didn't count as part of an immigrant visa.
