RomanceRe: I Hate Housework And Cooking by franade: 1:03pm On Sep 10, 2010
Guys check out this scenario (Kindly note that the below are all assumptions as the poster might not be resident in Lagos,Nigeria ):

Poster's home :Some where around Ajah,Lekki Lagos
Poster's office: Ikeja,Lagos
Poster's job: Banking,Telecommunications,Oil and Gas e.t.c
Poster's resumption time: 7.30 a.m- 8.00 a.m
Closing Time: 6P.M- 6.30(For Bankers this might be unrealistic as some close as late as 9 to 10p.m) but for this case study we are assuming the she closes around the time stated.

Driving/Traffic in Lagos is terrible.
Believe me sometimes i leave Victoria Island around 6.45pm but get home 3 HOURS LATER!!!!
Most organisations in Nigeria open for bussiness around 8.00am and sometimes you have to leave home as early as 5.30AM to beat the traffic so as to be punctual.

The poster's resumption time might be 8.00am (which is normal) and closing time 6.30am ( ok by me).Now she isnt expected to fly home is she,

Point am trying to make is that her location might be a major factor here.

Correct if i am wrong( cos i didnt get to read the her posts) but I REALLY doubt she starts working at 5.am and stops working at 10am

My bet is she leaves on time to get to work early and after work she gets stuck in traffic for about 2/4 hours before getting home( Half of the folks in Lag go through the same stuff too).

My prayer for her and her hubby is to work things out .And the solution might be to get a place closer to her work place(if the traffic is the issue and if her pay is crucial to their budget)

I was in the same situation 7 years ago and i was single and 23 years old. I am now married with two kids.

The good thing is that i married my best friend and he told me it couldnt work within 2 months of our dating (not marriage) I remember he would close from work around 6m and wait for me till 8pm sometimes 10pm( if our accounts do not balance , I was a banker (funds transfer desk). The AJAH traffic was worse backthen 2005-2007 especially coming from co-operative villa .

I had to resign to get a less demanding job in an oil company (we close 4pm) and the pay is even better but how may people can get these jobs.

Poster work things out with your husband.
PoliticsRe: Yobe To Build 31 Public Toilets Worth N200 M by franade: 8:48am On Sep 01, 2010
Sad.

I think its about 6.45m per toilet though-still on the high side if you ask me,

Unless each council toilet will have 14 WCs, gen set to pump water, hand dryers and all.

grin

PropertiesRe: Platinum Park Estate, Magboro @ N 1 MILLION PER PLOT, Subscribe Today ! by franade: 8:45am On Aug 26, 2010
Ok, i have some questions for you sir.

1.How far off the express is this estate.

2. Since this is is a new estate, are plots going to be allocated immediately after payment.( if not,  how long ?)

3. October is just around the corner- KINDLY CONFIRM IF ONE CAN START BUILDING THEN

4. Are the roads to the different plots visible now,  smiley since buiiding can commence october

other estates that started 3  years ago have not even allocated plots.

6. Most importantly is this the phase one of the estate.

If payment is made on monday when can my documents be ready ?

thank you sir.

what gay america are you from?

lol all that matters in america, like nigeria, is money. and in fact nigerians value education more because an america child can tell their parent they dont want to go to college and the parent will be ok with it lol

in fact nigerians value education so much more then americans that theyre the most educated minority in the US.

LOL all that matters is money. He can't 'speak english' but who cares about speaking english when he can fund your education LOL. nigerians like speaking english. they think it's an achievement in life LOL. that why you'll see beggars in Oshodi using grammar lol. gtfo

My dear thanks.

its amazing , that Nigerians would rather speak impeccable english than build their nation.

An Asian man once said 60% of Africans spend their whole life trying to speak like the British and American When there are more important issues to concern our selves with .(TECHNOLOGY). If you are a car manufacturer in Nigeria and you can only speak Yoruba, igbo or Pidgin english -Then God Bless you real Good as you are worth A MILLION MORE THAN THE FOOL that speaks another man s language well and is a Nuisance to his family (even after they have spent money educating him)

The British and Americans must be having a good laugh right now- cos African all want to speak good english.

For you ignorant folks, EDUCATION  is not about speaking GOOD ENGLISH. It only prepares you for the future i.e. HOW TO CREATE WEALTH, IMPACT POSITIVELY TO THE LIVES OF OTHERS AND  NATION BUILDING.

Mind you, if you are "Educated" i.e.speak good english and you spend your whole life complaining about your country , unemployment  e.t.c. then sorry for you.

Please spare me that nonsense that our constitution is in English. Were we consulted ? They should please re write it in the major Languages in Nigeria then our politicians might RESPECT the constitution.  I think we Africans should have one major indigenous Language( then we CAN sell THOSE PEOPLE)

I respect the Chinese, French and German- They have developed their nation , now they can learn how to speak good english.

Yes, we were colonised by the British, they ve freaking forgotten about about us, Can we pleaseeeeeeeee move on now.

Nigerians please lets be wise : I once toldmy father  I WAS REALLY DISSAPOINTED HE DIDNT MAKE AN EFFORT TO TEACH ME ANY NIGERIAN LANGUAGE .

I have an ibo teacher now cos ITS MY CULTURE AND HERITAGE .

And for your information when you speak with an indigenous accent( ibo, yoruba , hausa e.t.c) -PLEASE BE PROUD OF IT THAT'S WHO YOU ARE.YOU CANT BUY THAT WITH MONEY.

AND IF YOU SPEAK GOOD ENGLISH THATS ALSO LOVELY BUT PLEASEEE IT ISNT AN ACHIEVEMENT its only a Language  move on,
