Again, IPoB has shown itself to be ruthlessly planless. Why threaten a thing if you can't carry on with it? Now, they are saying the one week sit at home order will cause undue hardship in Ala Igbo. They have forgotten that they made this order themselves without any outside interference or influence. Or don't they know that people will still obey this order? What am I even saying sef? This move is strategic in a way sha. Now IPoB's sympathisers can wreck havoc in trying to enforce this 'repealed' order and the IPoB leaders will have indemnity by saying they already revoked the order. Las las, everybody will still die. Give your life to Christ. |
Everyday, Ohanaeze Ndigbo releases statements. Everyday. Is anything of this nature solved by talking to the press? What's wrong with going from community to community sensitising the people they claim to lead on why they feel IPoB's directives are not to be followed? Regardless of popular opinions (by people not even in the South East), majority of people in the South East do not obey the sit at home directives because of the threat of violence. They obey because they are sympathetic to IPoB and especially MNK's plight. If Ohanaeze wants to change the mindset of the people, they know what to do. zedegit:My fellow touts? Bloody liar? I won't join words with you Sir. All I'd like to reiterate is that having spoken to people at the grassroots (unlike you who I'm pretty sure hasn't been in the SE since this year), I stand by my assertion that the majority of Igbos in the SE have varying degrees of sympathy for the plight of MNK and think (right or wrong) that they owe him this sacrifice. My point was that it is left for Ohanaeze to attack that mindset if they think it is a wrong one. Good morning, whoever you are |

Nigeria. The fact that there was absolutely no fear in submitting this budget to the Senate is what troubles me. |
NwaAmaikpe:It's shocking how you managed to write this epistle that looks like it makes sense but...on closer look, respectfully Sir, this response is insensitive, misogynistic and in relation to the post, doesn't make sense at all. |
AGNESikpuNNU:Mods are asleep |
adioolayi:How Tyson Fury escaped that fourth round is still mindboggling to me... Those punches would knock out so many fighters, methinks (AJ included) |
Fight is done and dusted ![]() |

adioolayi:In points,I'd give Fury Round 9 sha. That last second uppercut was the only thing Wilder did in that round. |
It's all about not becoming complacent by Fury. He's started his taunting gimmicks now. Normally, I would disapprove from any other boxer but not Fury ... He walks his taunts (if that's a thing, lol) |
Wilder looks tired... But that right hand no be here sha. |
adioolayi:They don learn lesson na... All man is trying to reserve energy. |
Fury's turn to be down..
Now, this is a fight.
Not that borefest between AJ and Usyk the other day |
Round 3 made sense sha. Wilder became undisciplined. Lost his composure, tried to go all in with the jabs in order to get that signature punch in. The Gypsy King is wily sha... Got him on the counter, put him on the ropes...and knocked him down with barrages of punches. Wilder evaded the count sha. Round 4 underway |
Wilder down in 3rd round!! |
Round 2 finished.
Round 3 underway. Both fighters at par right now |
Round 1 under way! |
Lithuania's Defence Ministry has recommended that consumers avoid buying Chinese mobile phones and advised people to throw away the ones they have now, after a government report found the devices had built-in censorship capabilities. Flagship phones sold in Europe by China's smartphone giant Xiaomi Corp have a built-in ability to detect and censor terms such as "free Tibet", "long live Taiwan independence" or "democracy movement", Lithuania's state-run cybersecurity body said on Tuesday. The capability in Xiaomi's Mi 10T 5G phone software had been turned off for the European Union region, but can be turned on remotely at any time, the ministry's national cybersecurity centre said in the report. "Our recommendation is to not buy new Chinese phones, and to get rid of those already purchased as fast as reasonably possible," deputy minister of defence Margiris Abukevicius told reporters in introducing the report. Xiaomi did not respond to a Reuters query for comment. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/sep/22/lithuania-tells-citizens-to-throw-out-chinese-phones-over-censorship-concerns

Kanté is the midfielder of the year.
Jorginho is also a midfielder, and didn't win it.
However, Jorginho is the Player of the Year. What sort of rationale was behind this decisions? |
https://www.nairaland.com/6710730/uefa-player-year-nominees-all Jorginho and Kanté on UEFA POTY nominee list. Who would you vote for? |
Chelsea midfielders Jorginho and N'Golo Kante and Manchester City's Kevin de Bruyne make up Uefa's three-man shortlist for men's player of the year. It is the first time in the 11-year history of the award all the men's player nominees have been midfielders. Jorginho and Kante won the Champions League with Tuchel's Chelsea, beating De Bruyne and Guardiola's Manchester City in the final. Jorginho also won Euro 2020 with boss Mancini. Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski won the award last season. The winners will be named during the Champions League group stage draw ceremony in Istanbul on Thursday, 26 August. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, speaking from exile in the United Arab Emirates, has said that he had left Kabul to prevent bloodshed and denied reports he took large sums of money with him as he departed the presidential palace. Ghani has been bitterly criticised by former ministers for leaving the country suddenly as Taliban forces entered Kabul on Sunday. “If I had stayed, I would be witnessing bloodshed in Kabul,” Ghani said in a video streamed on Facebook on Wednesday, his first public comments since it was confirmed he was in the UAE. He left on the advice of government officials, he added. “Kabul should not be turned into another Yemen or Syria over power struggles so I was forced to leave,” Ghani said. He also tried to push back on rumours he left the country with millions of dollars. “I left with just a waistcoat and some clothes. The personality assassination against me has been ongoing, saying that I have taken money with me,” Ghani said in the video. “The accusations are baseless lies. You can even ask customs officials – they are baseless.” The president’s whereabouts were unknown until Wednesday, with speculation that he had fled to Tajikistan, Uzbekistan or Oman. Earlier on Wednesday the United Arab Emirates confirmed in a ministry statement that the Gulf nation was hosting Ghani and his family “on humanitarian grounds”. Afghanistan’s ambassador to Tajikistan had accused Ghani of stealing $169m from state funds and called on international police to arrest him. . https://mobile.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10158957117923292&id=34246523291&refid=17&_ft_=mf_story_key.10158957117923292%3Atop_level_post_id.10158957117923292%3Atl_objid.10158957117923292%3Acontent_owner_id_new.34246523291%3Athrowback_story_fbid.10158957117923292%3Apage_id.34246523291%3Astory_location.4%3Astory_attachment_style.video_inline%3Aott.AX_sTPmcY0Pzwc35%3Atds_flgs.3%3Athid.34246523291%3A306061129499414%3A2%3A0%3A1630479599%3A3230908014670242646%3A%3A&__tn__=%2AW-R https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2021/8/18/uae-confirms-hosting-former-afghan-president-ghani

Okay oh I see government officials(forced or not) enjoying government facilities. Everybody should just allow these people to be. Before you know it, you'd see headline like: Taliban soldiers eating sushi ![]() |
The Taliban have said they seek no “revenge” on opponents and that everyone will be “forgiven”, during the first press conference held by the hardline Islamist group since taking power in Kabul on Sunday. Saying the group did not seek “internal or external enemies”, their spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told reporters invited to the media centre used by the former Afghangovernment that the group wanted to “congratulate the [Afghan] nation” for its victory. “We assure you that nobody will go to their doors to ask why they helped,” he said, despite reports from different parts of the country that Taliban fighters were doing precisely that. He encouraged people who had fled to the airport with their families to return. Mujahid added a vaguely worded pledge to honour women’s rights and allow them to work, but within the group’s interpretation of Islamic law, and said private media would be permitted to “remain independent” if journalists “did not work against national values”. There were a series of assurances apparently aimed at the international community, including a promise to end the narcotics trade from Afghanistan and to prevent the country being used as a base by terrorist groups to attack other countries.
