You can try out this app (Mi MDev) for various MTN mifi and routers. It currently has support for information about the network, data usage, SMS, USSD and more for your router's and mifi. Support for more MTN devices is constantly being worked on.
Attached is a screenshot of the app on the Play Store.

Godblessme1: Lol. Una never seen anything once mtn are done having good numbers of subscribers first thing they'll do is to increase the subscription and give you people shity network.
Black man will ever do something good that will last for a long time? Never
Instead black man will do something horrible and expect to milk the people dry.
God bless starlink
God bless Elon musk.
Since the day I know starlink I've known peace concerning internet.
Imagine after my subscription date has ended I can still use starlink for days untill I'm able to re new my subscription. No Nigeria network can give you that.
God bless star link You sound like Uncle Ruckus |

NSEstudent: Yes na. Both of them have their separate login details written on them, which I have so far bookmarked. I don bookmark many IPs, and some use the same IP - mostly 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.0.1. These can be changed by you if you wish. You can always find the defaults on the labels pasted on the routers. I don't think the ZLT ODU has a different ip. At least, I haven't seen any. |

Rokynwastar: Bro!!!!! That's what I'm facing, I'll run a speed test , it will take forever to start counting then I'll get 350kps, it will enter 1.5Mbps and settle at 10Mbps.
Next test will end up settling at 40+Mbps.
This inconsistency make it hard to stream.
I've had to ditch my ODU now, locked my x25 pro to a cell to be able to stream. Exactly! Your's is kinda better sef. Mine tends to become useless. |

Rokynwastar: The esim with Airtel is highly flawed, from the activation to occasional network loss. When the esim was still working, I'd get "no Internet" out from no where, but when I put the physical sim innit, it works very well.
I pity those who have this issue but don't have the physical sim to make up for it as you'll now have to wait for hours before the esim comes back online. Ah!!! My esim has always been active o. I sha experience that Internet bs. Airtel don finish me |

ANIKUDI: This is strictly for the ZTE ODU users, you can use the ZTE Smart Life App to monitor your device and perform some settings. Clean!! I created something like this for MTN devices. If anyone is interested, it called Mi MDev. Check it out on play store. |

dustmalik: The thing is, there's no Airtel base station anywhere close to my estate. So, I just told the installer to mount it on my face board and point it towards an open area. The performance hasn't been great. Sometimes, even with full 5G and 4G signal strength, it refuses to browse and would have to restart it and tinker with severally before it starts browsing.
I will try the cell locking thing to see if it helps. I don't think this refuse to browse is a position problem (network). I think it's directly from Airtel. For example, I have been enjoying my ODU for a month plus but from last Saturday till this very moment, it's been a nightmare. I even called them and they said it's been fixed but here we are. |

akinremedy: you can insert a physical sim if you want to but Airtel needs to reregister the esim for it to come up. It was a partial registration that waa done. They will still give you the remaining days after doing the needful. Pending that, you could insert a physical sim if needed What does partial registration mean? |

williams85: If you have X25 pro, you don’t need cell mapper. All you need is the list of PCI and EARFCN. ODU can also display the values too. Just pick a PCI and the corresponding EARFCN and lock it Chai! The only thing I understand here is ODU. |

adibo: Hello house. I am beginning to wonder if these guys are playing games.
They gave me my router a month ago. Since then, I noticed that I don't receive messages or OTP on the esim. Also, I noticed that the email they used in registering the esim is not mine as well.
Now, my subscription expired. I purchased 25k thru Opay on the sim. I tried to subscribe using the website option, they sent an OTP to the esim which I am not able to receive. I tried using the ussd code, they said I don't have sufficient airtime.
I just said let me check the sim on Opay and it came up with a name Comfort Ejeh. So, I wonder how I was given a router that someone else already registered on Opay
I am not even able to subscribe now I have a similar issue with you. I don't receive sms, I can't add it to the My Airtel app. To subscribe, you can use the My Airtel. |

Hullabaloon: Oh yeah. This was me last week. New ZTE. wanted to run mad.
Got the solution here. Log into the IDU web ui(192.168.18.1), go to wifi settings and disable single SSID. OmO! It's crazy single SSID is preventing people from browsing. |

Peterlove11: Have compared their performance. Now I have the older zlt which started working almost 2 weeks and the newer white zte
My interim observation: The older zlt has better IDU, i usually get better upload speeds compared to the newer one. and the range is better, covers every part of my flat. The newer one seems to get better latency for example in CODM, I was getting 32-47ms, while the zlt is a bit higher at 38-50ms. but in gameplay no noticable difference. Also the zte speeds drop the moment I step outside my flat. Same doesn't happen with the zlt unless I move a considerable distance away. Maybe the WiFi 6 on it has anything to do with that.
In all, I will keep monitoring both performance to know which I will keep. Have you noticed anything new? What's the difference in speed (using any speed test)? |
Phones › Re: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by frank155(m): 10:01am On Oct 28, 2025 |
akinremedy: it will still be throttled until the previous subscription expires. The person shouldn't have subscribed until that one expires. That's why you need to have 2 sim cards if you exceed the 1TB threshold That's a crazy logic from Airtel. Renewing should invalidate the previous sub. |

Rokynwastar: .
The settings you mentioned are available when you login to the ODU. The IDU doesn't have these settings.
Use 192.168.254.1 to login the ODU and 192.168.18.1 for the IDU. Ah! This seems to work for the new ODU only |
