This is the sole reason why minimum wage should be grossly increased.
Purchasing power of the masses is too low. When people are paid adequately they will comfortably buy these products.

It has nothing to do with what we feel or want them to do. Any increment of over 400% will throw inflation out of proportion, and make our naira more worthless. The prices of goods and services will skyrocket, tax will abnormally increase.....eventually we might end up at our previous default setting.

300% is realistic

Ogbeni I'm being pushed to raise insults on you but I won't even though I'm very pained at your words.

Increase in the salaries of private firms doesn't bring inflation, extravagant lifestyle of our politicians doesn't bring inflation right?
Inflation only comes in when public workers are demanding for a living wage...smh.

Be wise bro..be wise
Minimum wage doesn't blow up inflation, these are words politicians used to keep the masses perpetually poor.

Good day guys.

I got denied canada study visa in January.

I have just gotten back my 10,000 CAD tuition deposit and I don't wish to re apply until after one year

Will you advice I change the CAD to naira due to this fluctuation of naira and dollar, or I leave in CAD.

I am scared if I leave it in dollars in my account it might depreciate badly before the time I want to re apply.

I also need advice from people .
I am an Auditor. Which country outside Africa can I migrate to with 10,000 USD.

What was the reason for denial?

It's sad seeing a federal agency lie on a matter that's very glaring to the eyes of everybody just to deceive the people and make it look like all is well.

This data should not in anyway affect the minimum wage negotiations because its fake.
Business / Re: Why Naira Will Continue To Appreciate by frank2zee: 6:42pm On Mar 27
Nigerians are indeed gullible and easy to deceive.
The govt is way too smart, let me elaborate this for you:

The govt decided to make more money from exchange rate from 700 to about 1000-1200. So they thought of a best way to achieve this without the people understanding their evil intent.

So they came up with a plan to let it go high from 700-1800 which made the people to start wailing and shouting, then later they brought it down to their initial desired rate of 1000-1200 and then the people started praising and thanking them for such move.

If you can articulate this well you will see the divine wisdom these guys pulled.

The initial deposit is usually half of one term tuition. You can contact your school directly for clarification (just state your student ID for reference)

Ok...Thank you

Hello guys.. Please I need clarification on this.
An agent told me that I would pay my first year tuition fees as initial deposit before the school can issue me a COE.
Please guys how true is this bkos I have always thought that initial deposit is a fraction of your first year annual tuition?

Please guys I need your urgent responses.
Thanks

It will be best to ask someone from your circle (Workplace, Church, Community) that has travelled to Canada. If they tell you that the place is not worth it, but they have not relocated to Nigeria then you have your answer.

Thank you
I understand you perfectly.

Hey 🀠

1. Its not worth it on Study Visa . Let's assume your visa is granted , you will start another journey by studying and working which will incapacitate you in achieving lot of things until you are through with your study and work yourself towards Residency. In Canada, you have to abide by all rules (as an international student) .

2. It's worth it on Permanent Residency / Work Visa . By this , as you are landing in Canada, you are above someone with a study visa because you can start working immediately, open a normal bank account, secure driving licence , apply for loan etc . In short , this visa makes you on the ladder of becoming a Canadian citizen if you know what you are doing.

3. In either way. You have to be extremely careful of (some) travel agents . A woman was hoodwinked to the sum of N15.M on this same Canada visa . She together with her daughter have gone back to zero level . She sold a property too. Open your eyes and be certain that any process you choose involves you physically and on the Web.

Best Wishes πŸ™

Thanks for the response, I sincerely appreciate.

Of a truth my pathway is through the student route(study visa), my family is planning to sell properties worth over #30m to sponsor it. However, with this your response I think I need to do a rethink.

People default to loan when they can not raise the needed fund for their programme.

So ask yourfself, do I have the needed funds?
Can I get some one to sponsor me?
Can I get someone or a bank to lend to me without interest?

If your answers are NO, then you can go for Mpower. Please note that Mpower only finances some select schools and they have bias for STEM courses.

My answer to most of your questions is "NO", that's why I'm having a thought about the mpower loan.
I just want to know if most loanees find it easy to repay back their loans without much pressures and hastles.

You will be 35yrs, nit above 35yrs so you will still be eligible for the post study visa.

Fam, is 8million naira enough to get into Australia for a masters degree program? that's my life savings.

8million naira might just take care of initial deposit alone, you have other cost to take care of and most especially POF, that's where the bulk finances comes to play.

Hi guys,
Please I'm a little bit confused and frustrated at the moment.

Is it that Aussie no longer accept self-sponsorship for student visa application. Almost all the agents I'm contacting are saying I must be sponsored by someone preferably a family member but I wish to sponsor myself and have all funds in my account as POF.

Isn't this possible anymore?

Make sure you have another source of income b4 coming in or else you will be leaving in debts back to back.
