but does the position of the womb not determine d kind of sex style to do? e.g doogy or No , because no matter the style , the final release is deposit outside the cervix. And it will find its own way. So do what is comfortable for you. The womb position is for manipulation of our instrument during any treatment. |
orney:hello dear the tvs is more accurate, because it get closer to your cervix than the pelvic scan.but the positioning of your uterus , has nothing to do with fertility, that term is just so the DR, will know how to negotiate to get there when trying to access it.so you are very ok dear . |
Chikusche:hello dear, the key to any fertility treatment is consistence. you need to take your drugs regularly following the Doctors prescription and time and then a follow up test. do not be discouraged. both drugs are very good high prolactin ,so dont stop it. you will achieve the right result be patient. for your hubby, for any drug to have effect he has to take it consistently for 3months ,since that is how long it will take him to produce new ones.but he can try more effective drug like fertisan m , though its expensive but has a good tract record than others that i have worked with . it is well, God is on the throne. |
Dazzle86:Clomid can sometimes produce empty follicles( follicles with no eggs in it) So adding hmg will help a great till. |
MineMK:Cont |
Dazzle86:Hello mama, the test value is good.all other value is good. The fsh is moderate. Just that the fsh is a high normal. But is ok. You just need a bit of stimulation to get help with the folliclar growith. |
Redeemedsoul:Hello mama, You can do the test at clina lancet or path care. They both have labs all over lagos. Although clina lancet is more affordable. But both lab results are accurate |
poppop:Hello dear, Hmg is known as human menopausal gonadotropin. The contains fsh and Lh. Hmg for short. This include brands names like menogon, ivf.m, menopur, etc..it is measured in international unit (IU). So I want you to get a 75 IU. Of the stimulation. |

try and do AMH homone to know get the accurate reserve . |
Redeemedsoul:hello dear, your high LH AND FSH on day 3 is an indication of a low ovarian reserve. to be very accurate you may do an AMH TEST. but this result is showing that your ovaries will respond poorly to stimulation FSH is often used as a gauge of ovarian reserve. In general, under 6 is excellent, 6-9 is good, 9-10 fair, 10-13 diminished reserve, 13+ no response . prolactin is ok. your e2 level is ok but Levels on the lower end tend to be better for stimulating. Abnormally high levels on day 3 may indicate existence of a functional cyst or diminished ovarian reserve. you are towards the higher for a day 3 cycle the progesterone level is fine but we could know how good this value Is, when i know the length of your cycle |
4realwoman:sorry for late response couldnt not comment being busy . your prolactin levels is high as a result your progesterone is low. that value you have is a early pregnancy value .prolactin can interrupt the normal production of the hormones estrogen and progesterone. This can cause the ovaries to release eggs irregularly or stop altogether.so see your doctor give you drugs to handle the prolactin level and that will help to increase your progesterone to normal.if not then you can use progesterone pessaries or injection to support your cycle. YOUR FSH and LH , looks good. treat your hyperprolactinemia and repeat the test before you proceed on any other thing. |
miraclebaby:hello dear, i will also recommend fertilsan M , because it contains both amino acid and the necessary vitamins. i have a patient of mine with severe oligospermia and teratozospermia, he used it for 3months and i couldnt believe it when he did a repeat sfa and from a severe oligospermia he 90x106. if you can get it in nigeria, try it although is more expensive than the rest . all the best . |
rolk:hello dear, letrozole gives less follicles but better endometrium when compared with clomid but every gynae has its preference.there is really nothing to worry about using 150iu. hmg because it is a common dosage for iui and timed intercourse but if worried you can take it for 2day and do a scan. @Stephaniecoa:your case of stimulation response of 9 follicles with 50iu is very rare . you amh value must be very high and is not for people like her that has used clomid as high as 150mg. so i think she can go with her gynae suggestion of 150iu and if scared scan after 3days of taking it but if not start clomid 50mg bd start day 2 for 5days and start hmg on day 3 150iu for 5days scan on day 10 and trigger hcg if follicle is good or rescan day 12 and trigger ovulation that day . all the best dear. |
poppop:hello mama, ovulation occur when there is a follicular size of about 18mm and above, one of the major things that could cause you not to ovulate is when you are not having dorminate follicles. women who are already diagnosed with anovulation ,tend to do better when increased dosage of clomid is used along with mild stimulaion injection . clomide of 50mg will work better with woman who are ovulating on their own recommendation discuss these with your doctor start clomid 50mg twice daily for 5day to start on day 2 of cycle add hmg 75IU on day3 for another 5days do a scan on day 10 of cycle to see the number of dorminate follicles . if one or two is found if not ready repeat scan in day 12. take hcg(profasi or pregnl) 10000iu- injection to make sure you ovulation in 36hours time. then do the necessary things with hb that day and the next and wait for the result in 15days time. |
LKO:try and see the urologist and let me know, then i can recommend some things if no changes. |
LKO:hello, this could be as a result of the following or more circulation problem - it could be that there is no enough blood supply to the penile area alcohol drugs Hormonal disorders: A lack of testosterone (male hormone or androgen) can result from testicular failure, pituitary gland problems, or certain medications. Depression: This condition is a common cause of erectile dysfunction. Depression is a physical disorder as well as a psychiatric one, and it can have physical effects. This may be true even if you feel comfortable in a sexual situation. Performance anxiety and so many more the first thing to do is to see a urologist and let him access you , so as to take necessary treatment . |
Further information to promote male fertility A healthy lifestyle is the starting point for a healthy, fully-functioning sperm production process. Please also note: Avoid nicotine and alcohol as much as you can. Check your medication. Only take medication, which is essential to your wellbeing and has been prescribed by your doctor or recommended by your pharmacist. Try to avoid all toxins and hormones in your diet and your environment. Reduce stress as much as you can. Stress is thought to affect fertility negatively in both men and women. Enjoy a few more breaks and find new ways to relax. Avoid all kinds of heat. The growth of sperm cells is a highly temperature-sensitive process. Tight trousers, jeans or notebooks lead to a higher temperature as much as extensive sauna visits or hot baths. Car seat heating should also be kept to a minimum. Possible causes of involuntary childlessness Fertility disorders in women and men can have a wide variety of causes; age plays a role, as does lifestyle, nutrition as well as alcohol consumption and cigarette smoking. Organic causes of fertility disorders in women: Hormonal disorders Inflammations of the genital organs Obstruction of the fallopian tubes Changes to the inner lining of the uterus Changes to hereditary factors Age Severe excess weight or weight deficiency Organic causes of fertility disorders in men: Varicose veins in the testicles Impaired testicle function following an infection Changes to hereditary factors Hormonal disorders Undescended testes Age Lifestyle and environmental factors which may have a negative effect on male and female fertility: Stress Alcohol Smoking Environmental pollutants Sperm cells - crucial for fertility Many men are oblivious to the fact that they themselves may be the cause of their involuntary childlessness. And yet statistics show how drastically sperm quality in men from industrialized countries has decreased over the last few decades. Fifty years ago the average number of sperm cells per milliliter of ejaculate was 100 million - nowadays this number has dropped to between 20 and 64 million. The age of men also plays an important role. Studies demonstrate that the ejaculate of a 45-year old man contains fewer agile and normally shaped sperm cells, compared with that of an 18-year old man. Spermatogenesis - the miracle of life Sperm cell formation (spermatogenesis) occurs in the seminiferous tubules of the testicles. It takes approx. 60-64 days in total. About 1,000 sperm cells are produced every second or 3-4 million every hour. During this process, the growing cells are very sensitive to harmful influences. Only the best will make it Given that the journey to the egg cell is very long and exhausting; the quality of the sperm cells is of crucial importance for successful fertilization. Only persevering and active lone fighters will make it to the egg cell, penetrate the surrounding cell layer and get into the egg cell. Sperm quality - visible under the microscope Sperm quality can be examined under the microscope to know the number, motility and shape (the spermiogram) of your sperm: WHO* reference values of normal sperm quality Semen volume 2-5 ml Number of sperm cells 20 million/ml or more Motility more than 50% Rapid progressive motility more than 25% Normal shape more than 30% In many cases both the number and motility of sperm cells is reduced and there are often too many sperm cells of abnormal shape There is currently no bona fide way to improve deficient sperm quality, by means of drugs. However, it could be shown that certain micronutrients can have a favorable influence on the sperm quality parameters mentioned above. * World Health Organization How does it work? The micronutrients contained in fertilsan M are a natural part of our diet. As a result of their nutritional features they can have a favorable effect on sperm cell quality, especially on sperm cell density and motility: Nutritional features and characteristics of selected ingredients Vitamins Vitamin E Important antioxidant vitamin (radical scavenger), protects the cell membrane against free radicals; has a favorable effect on sperm cell motility Vitamin C Protects the genetic information (DNA) against attacks by free radicals. Damage to the sperm DNA results in an impairment of sperm function B vitamins Vitamins B 6 and B 12 and folic acid are important for the degradation of the metabolite homocysteine. High homocysteine levels can have a negative effect on the reproductive function Trace elements Zinc Important component of antioxidant enzymes which are also present in semen; a lack of zinc is connected with a reduced testosterone production; has a favorable effect on sperm cell motility and number, as well as on the number of normally shaped sperm cells Selenium Important component of antioxidant enzymes which are also present in semen; this enzyme activity influences the viability, normal shape and motility of sperm cells The right combination matters Certain micronutrients are important for sperm cell formation and maturation. Since the effects of these micronutrients complement each other, it is sensible to provide a balanced combination Phytonutrients Mixed carotenoids Antioxidants which work together with vitamin E to protect the sperm membrane against attacks by free radicals Other micronutrients Omega-3 fatty acids Improve the fluidity of the sperm membrane - an essential prerequisite for successful fertilization N-acetylcysteine Component of an important antioxidant enzyme L-carnitine Vitamin-like substance; plays a key role in energy generation for sperm cells and in the penetration of the egg cell by the sperm; has a favorable effect on sperm motility Coenzyme Q10 Vitamin-like substance; potent antioxidant and radical scavenger; has a favorable effect on sperm cell motility What can I do personally? A natural therapeutic approach based on the improvement of sperm quality as a result of nutritional support has given men new hope. fertilsan is a dietary supplement (food for special medical purposes) that is available for the dietary management of male fertility disorders. It contains a well-balanced combination of specific micronutrients which are needed by the body for sperm cell formation, such as vitamins, trace elements, amino acids and vitamin-like substances. Boost your metabolism! This increases your enjoyment of life, virility and desire. A light endurance training of half an hour three times a week is sufficient to stimulate your metabolism. |
iamhistreasure:the irregular periods is an indication that you have polycyst ovaries. if all follicles are small then you might not ovulate. before your next try at it . you will need to run a test called AMH to check your ovarian reserve and i will tell you what to do next .once you have the result, you will know the best dosage of letrozole and stimulation injection to used . And then you can use a particuar injection to cause ovulation . so no worries .. |
iamhistreasure:Hello dear, the hsg result is not bad, it was reported that your right tube is very good , while the left is not so clear due to adhension but never mind because a single tube is enough to get you pregnant . so you are k. As for the scan result sometimes , a woman might need a little bit of hmg to help with follicular growth especially if you are pcos . i need to know if the dr saw any follicle and what sizes, because a dorminant follicle is about 18mm and above. if you are close to that but not yet there you will but if you are far from this reference point then may not. also how many days cycle do you have , is it a 28days or more . |
ejimikeokwu:hello dear , can you scan the report properly so i can help with the intepretation .not so clear. |
mumzara:Goodday, there is nothing to worry about if it is brownish in colour and you are also not cramping with it. it could be implantation bled. also take things easy this period and relax . |
what is infertility : Infertility is the inability of a sexually active, non-contracepting couple to achieve spontaneous pregnancy in one year”, World Health Organization (WHO). In Africa, when a couple is unable to conceive ,it is assumed to be the woman fault, hence a lot of couple remaining childless or access medical treatment after several years . lots of man assume that it is never their fault when there are no children in a marriage especially, if he has impregnated other women in the past . About 15% of couples do not achieve pregnancy within one year and seek medical treatment for infertility. One in eight couples encounter problems when attempting to conceive a first child and one in six when attempting to conceive a subsequent child. Three percent of women remain involuntarily childless, while 6% of parous women are not able to have as many children as they would wish . Infertility affects both men and women. In 50% of involuntarily childless couples, a male-infertility-associated factor is found together with abnormal semen parameters. A fertile partner may compensate for the fertility problem of the man and thus infertility usually manifests if both partners have reduced fertility. A man might have impregnated a woman in the past before the condition set in or might have met a very fertile woman , hence his infertility was masked . Male fertility can be reduced as a result of following: congenital or acquired urogenital abnormalities; Malignancies; prostate cancer Urogenital tract infections , STI Increased scrotal temperature (e.g. as a consequence of varicocele Endocrine disturbances; Genetic abnormalities; Immunological factors: this is a condition where your immune system sees your sperm as a foreign body hence fights against it. Habits: smoking, excessive alcohol occupation : work around heavy metals like oil workers, quarry, miners etc. When a couple is unable to achieve conception in the first year of adequate sex, the first thing is for both partner to see a fertility specialist. not the woman alone,so that both partners can be examined and a solution reached. In my years of practice as a clinical embryologist, I noticed that couple's that access fertility treatment together achieved pregnancy faster than situations where the woman was alone ,because the female partner was emotionally stable due to the partners support. Male fertility issues can be improved especially if it is not genetic or congenital, so couples should access treatment together, because it takes 2 to get pregnant . feel free to ask question and will be glad to help thanks

Good morning ladies, waiting to conceive is a very challenging period in a couple's life ,especially for the woman. lots of unanswered questions, anxiety, pressure from family members especially if you were with the same partner, who was able to pregnant you while dating or has had kids of his own.My advice is to try and relax because for a woman TRYING TO CONCEIVE ,STRESS or ANXIETY does not go well with the female reproductive hormones. As a clinical embryologist, I have seen the effect of stress and anxiety on couples trying to conceive, and marriages destroyed because of infertility. the first thing to do when trying for a child is to be ready emotionally, psychiology , prayerfully and will also do you good if you have your partner support because it takes two to get pregnant. steps to follow 1 Get a specialist in fertility not just any gynaecologist, because not all are fertility specialist . 2 HE/ SHE will send you and your partner for series of test .Female a lot of GYNEA sends their patient for FSH ,LH, PROLACTIN,HSG, but the most accurate are to do AMH in combination with a TVs on day 3,TSH,HSG , and diagnostic hysteroscopy if there is an indication for it. while for your partner he has to do a semen analysis. 3 . Once the results are reviewed ,you will know exactly what mode of treatment to use. NOTE : laparoscopy is only done when there are serious indication for it. Clomid most times when used alone has the tendency to give empty follicles, thin endometrium and thick cervical mucus hence should be used with caution . bitter leaf has a lot of health benefits but also has a high infinity like all plants to contain heavy metalshttp://www.intechopen.com/books/agricultural-chemistry/heavy-metal-content-in-bitter-leaf-vernonia-amygdalina-grown-along-heavy-traffic-routes-in-port-harc. so care should also be taken. furthermore , ladies, you have to be very careful , many women have been victims to fraudsters and so called specialist who propound issues instead of solving them , hence always ask you , doctor, to explain each of the test he is sending you for and every drug he gives to you . lastly, prayer is the master key . Pray and be anxious for nothing.and always know that you will have your babies if you dont quit trying. |
