Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. Deut 5v16 Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed. 1 Samuel 2v 30 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. Matthew 15 v 4 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Matthew 19 v 19 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death: Mark 7 v 10 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. Mark 10 v 19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother. Luke 18 v 20 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; Ephesians 6 v 2 Who owns us? Only God. We are his children not his slaves. We have the will to be obedient or to stray. We are encouraged, instructed, guided and at times chastised. We are warned of the consequences of our actions. We are not beaten to be injured and we are not divided up as assets. Courts in the western world tend to give custody of children to Mothers and then provide the woman with welfare to enable them to feed and cloth them. In doing so they make it an easy thing to walk away from a relationship that could be righted with some persistence. So in the end the children end up not owned or cared for but pushed from Mum to dad for weekends, holidays and overnight stays. They play mum and dad off against each other and end up lost children. Look on an international aircraft at vacation time small children are being shunted around like lost dogs. Mum marries again and has more children dad does the same they make new families and these precious babies are problems. Its not who owns them but who cares for them. They need mum and dad in equal and different ways. Dad throws you in the air and makes you grow strong. He teases you plays games he shows you how to work and care for your family. Mum cleans you and teaches you how to behave. She feeds you and tells you stories. Ownership is for the slave traders who bought and sold humans for commercial gain and threw the old and sick to die in the oceans on the journeys. They separated husband and wife and sold children to anyone with the money. Can a parent desire such a relationship. The question should be. Who is responsible to care and protect and discipline the child. And what level of physical discipline is necessary and acceptable in a Godly Society? God sees both a Father and a Mother as to be honoured. So both must be responsible to care and protect and educate a child. |
Money is very cold comfort on a bed at night. A woman leaves when she feels he doesn't really love her. Can you listen to her? Can you care for her to be enjoying relations too? Do you laugh together? A woman who leaves a man that cherishes her is deserving of what she will receive. Chose carefully. Chose from a Godly family. If you chose a money hungry woman you will never hold her with any amount of money. If you chose a great beauty then she will be chased and offered after by others. There will always be someone handsomer than you. You should chose a woman who has a good mother, Who loves the Lord, who knows how to love and enjoys a good laugh. This woman will be a comfort and a helper for a soulmate for your whole life. As long as you keep your love precious for her and don't hunt around. Look for a life partner not a piece of fluff to carry around and show off. It is arrogance that leads to poor choices. |
