The OP isn't far from the truth. The number of anti-MMM topics here on nairaland is serious. In fact I think the subject matter MMM as a topic is used much more than the ever popular snake or Tonto dike.

One begins to now wonder why all the hate views. MMM has crashed, MMM will not last the week, MMM this, MMM that. Everyone wants to have their own say. Even those who have never helped a soul in their lives.

One thing for sure is that they will get tired just like snakes and Dike are now scarce topics.

I think we have heard all you have to say. Nairaland should leave MMM and its participants to their fate.

I stand with you OP. Until people understand that there is no central account that pays but through people's donations, then we will continue to experience the panic.

There is the believe amongst I and my pals that MMM will sustain if the admins act wisely.

Let everyone understand that you can only GH if you PH.

I did a little write up recently on how I think the system can get out of its present quag.

Let admin stop bonus mavros from growing.
Daily update of mavros' growth and not tuesdays an en Thursdays only
The present mavros should be stopped from growing. It is creating more liabilities
Everyone must PH before they can GH. And when it is time to GH, u can GH the total of the new PH and a certain percentage of the old mavros say like 20%. That way, you will have to continue to PH to be able to get your old funds out of the system gradually. By the time the last set of old mavros are out of the system, confidence would have been restored to a certain level and business would be as usual.

I know you might not like this, but I think the admin should look again at the bonuses of the GUIDERS and to check into their activities. GUIDERS are part of the reason MMM is experiencing this present issues, just like u mentioned. A lot of them are not well informed and savvy. Me wey no be guider sef sabi pass some of them.

There is a great need to be patience. I believe we can together sustain this great concept.

I know I am going to make front page with this. As some one had pointed out, the password these days to front page is the magic word MMM.

I know a lot has been said about MMM. I just felt like adding my own maggi to the soup.

I think the administrators made a grave mistake by freezing accounts in December. Though one could understand the motive behind the move. They were trying to 'save the victim from bleeding to death' . They didn't consider stopping the bleeding at first before treating the wound.

I believe the so called GUIDERS killed the system. They were getting too much from contributing next to nothing. GUIDERS were no longer PHing. They were just milking the system without providing help. The reward system for GUIDERS for me is astronomical. It should have been checked.

Huge withdrawals by GUIDERS stiffened the system and so this created a domino effect. PH were matched earlier than usual. Peeps who had anticipated that their GH would come earlier than PH were put on the run when GH came earlier. This led to uploading of fake payments. Everything and everyone were getting stuck.

The administrators did not help a matters too. Communication was poor, ambiguous, unconvincing and demoralising. Regular, concise and clear communication would have helped with participants' confidence. The gave the media and antagonists the weapons to attack.

BEST WAY FORWARD

I believe the system can still be sustained and not crash as a lot are expecting.
I think the administrators should come out and provide information.
The best way I think will help is this:
Everyone who has funds in the system should provide help before he or she can get anything out.
Also,when GH, the participant will only get his full PH plus interest, and a certain percentage of the previously frozen macros, say like 10-15%. That way, people will continue to PH and get their monies out gradually.
The system will be sustained this way. And by the time the previous macros are withdrawn finally, confidence would have been substantially restored.

I am a participant. Though I have less than 100k in the system but I loved the MMM concept. Quite fun and lucrative. I wish for it to continue. I know I speak the mind of some.
