Nairaland GeneralVanguard Newspaper Apologizes To IPOB For False Publication About Breakup by FREEDOMLOVER(op): 9:10pm On Sep 05, 2016
AS NNAMDI KANU THE LEADER OF IPOB ALWAYS SAY,EVENTUALLY WE SHALL WIN. IPOB HAVE CRUSHED THE ZOO AND HER ALLIES AGAIN :

Vanguard NewsPaper apologizes to IPOB for false publication about breakup

According to a phone call which IPOB promised to make public soon, vanguard news paper apologized to the Biafran Group and attributed the report about breakaway IPOB member as a promotional strategy.

The caller who is believed to be from top management of Vanguard regretted their actions and expressed their frustration as regards lack of buyers, and fall in companies reputation since IPOB's campaign against them. He went further to lament that the number of viewers on their website had taken a geometric dive.

The caller who pleaded anonymity was later investigated by IPOB leadership and found out to have phoned from vanguard HEAEDQUARTERS in Lagos.

He pleaded with IPOB to hault her media warfare against vanguard as it will trigger doom for them. He also said they now acknowledge their actions were tantamount to economic suicide. And if IPOB sustains her present media war, vanguard will have no place in social media and in journalism within the next two months which will lead to loss of jobs.

The caller gave an example which can be seen vividly, saying that their page on facebook used to have more than 4.6m page likes, but have reduced to 2.3m which shows that the damage IPOB is causing them is devastating.

He also said that just like other media establishments, they report news on the order of Buhari. "The articles are published the way Buhari’s agent brought it without changes. There are consequences incase of any alteration. We choose micro topics to report still we get criticism and strong warning messages from Buhari's agents", he added.

In conclusion, he apologized to IPOB on behalf of vanguard. "We urge IPOB to please bear with us and have in mind that what we report is not from our reporters. We don’t wish to report them, but the order is from above".

Nairaland GeneralIpob Have Crushed The Zoo And Her Buhari/dss-pob, Triapob,re-pob,ohaneze-pob by FREEDOMLOVER(op): 9:00pm On Sep 01, 2016
IPOB HAVE CRUSHED THE ZOO AND HER BUHARI/DSS-POB, TRIPOB,RE-POB,OHANEZE-POB,OKOROCHA-POB,OBASANJO-POB,TINUBU-POB, etc etc-POB:

No crisis or factions in IPOB,they are united under Nnamdi Kanu - IWA leader, Mrs. Mariah Okwor

Say TRIPOB, RE-IPOB leaders are fictional

IGBO women, youths, students and traders have faulted reports of crisis in the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, leading to the emergence of splinter groups – The Rebranded Indeigenous People of Biafra, TRIPOB and Reformed Indigenous People of Biafra, RE-IPOB.

Among people and groups, who insisted that IPOB is intact and challenged leaders of TRIPOB and RE-IPOB to produce their photographs if there are not fictitious are the Igbo Women Assembly, IWA, led by Mrs. Mariah Okwor; Igbo Youth Movement, IYM; Igbo Students Union, ISU; Igbo Traders Association, ITA and South East Christians Network, SECN among others.

Recently, TRIPOB and RE-IPOB, in separate statements disowned the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and unveiled their programmes. While TRIPOB said it would burn the Biafra flag on October 1, the RE-IPOB listed names of some eminent persons to negotiate with the Federal Government, while warning Nnamdi Kanu to stop parading himself as IPOB leader.

Speaking on the issue, Mrs. Mariah Okwor, in a statement said: “The funny games being played by the Federal Government is a further confirmation of the arrogance of this government in their stubborn refusal to address the problems from the root by restructuring Nigeria along six regions without delay.

Only true fiscal federalism can save Nigeria now. Creating non-existent factions of IPOB will not stop the agitation. Government should stop amusing the public with childish plots.

There is clearly no crisis or factions among these gallant boys, they united under Nnamdi Kanu and they are committed to their struggle. I personally thought that Kanu will go the way of Uwazurike, but he has surprised everybody by his righteous, sincere and total commitment to the struggle. The IWA will honour Kanu in October for his honesty and transparent leadership, that boy is a hero.”

According to her, four groups from the South East and three from Niger Delta will publicly honour Nnamdi Kanu for his sacrifices in defence of truth and fight for justice.

IYM founder, Evang. Elliot Uko, said: ”Those who claim there is crisis in IPOB are the very people who are being used to create the impression of a crisis. Ndigbo know that IPOB is intact, why would I comment on non-existent TRIPOB and REIPOB? I don’t want to dignify fake groups with a response.

The Federal Government should do the needful, which is begin to address the foundational reasons millions of youths have lost faith in Nigeria. Creating artificial factions will not stop the agitation. Only a restructuring of the polity will restore hope. Time is running out”.

On his part, Comrade Chimezie Ubani, President of Igbo Students, said: “Nobody knows the fictional characters, Philip Effiong Osuji and Ikemba Biafra or Nzeogwu Biafra, Let them publish their photographs and tell us their home towns and local governments of origin, if they truly exist. There is no crisis whatsoever in IPOB.

We will honour Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in all the campuses in Eastern Nigerian soon, he is our eternal hero, a prophet and a legend. He destroyed our oppressors with the power of truth. IPOB is intact and we are all proud of them.”

Bishop Mike Ibeneme, coordinator of South East Christians Network, said: “We all know, Nnamdi Kanu, we know he is from Afara, Umuahia, Abia State. Nobody knows these names Ikemba Biafra and Philip Effiong Chima, they probably do not exist. It is clearly an attempt by certain forces to give the impression that there is division within the IPOB.

It means the IPOB has become a very formidable force that is strong enough to frighten the authorities. Nobody believes there is any crisis within the IPOB, those alluding to factions in IPOB are only those who are afraid of IPOB.”

To Chief Chris Obikwelu, Chairman of Igbo Traders Association: “We are all surprised to hear of strange names breaking away from IPOB. If they had said that Emma powerful, Clifford Iroanya or Emma Nmezu broke away, it probably would have been believable, but for totally strange names, unknown to anybody to publish a list of laughable characters to negotiate on behalf of Ndigbo, simply means that TRIPOB and REIPOB are fake, non-existent groups, created by the enemy in their foolish attempt to weaken IPOB.”

I can tell you that they have only succeeded in making Kanu and IPOB more popular and respected by all. It means he is giving them sleepless nights, if he were a sell-out, they would not create fake splinter groups to counter him”.

Nairaland General#ipob Press Release:nnamdikanu Rejects Claim He Is Asking To Negotiate With Fg by FREEDOMLOVER(op): 12:15pm On Aug 14, 2016
August 13, 2016
Press Statement:

INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF BIAFRA AND NIGER DELTA AVENGERS ARE INSEPARABLE IN THEIR QUEST FOR BIAFRA RESTORATION: NO FREEDOM FOR NNAMDI KANU NO PEACE

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) hereby categorically state that we and our brothers the Niger Delta Avengers (N.D.A.) are inseparable in our quest for Biafra restoration. Just as N.D.A. stated in their demands which the Nigerian Government is very much aware of but has chosen to ignore, there will be no negotiation if there is no freedom for the leader of IPOB Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Nigeria will avert imminent doom only if Buhari is compelled by civilized nations to obey existing court orders and release Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally.

Trying the discredited divide and rule tactics of using the media to claim Nnamdi Kanu denied N.D.A. in order to engineer acrimony and hatred between him and N.D.A. has failed woefully. South South and South East are united in this noble quest for freedom and no amount of media manipulation can alter this fact. Only if Buhari knows who Nnamdi Kanu truly is or the amount of influence he commands among the people of South East and South South he won't listen to the lies Lawal Daura of DSS and Ohanaeze Ndigbo have been feeding him.

Although we acknowledge that our lawyers spoke out of turn in a recent press conference, we are also aware that Mr. Rochas Okorocha who parades himself to the contrary as an Igbo man has been working as a front man for Muhammadu Buhari to penetrate and compromise IPOB governing structure and our lawyers. We are aware of the grand conspiracy orchestrated by Rochas Okorocha to penetrate IPOB by all and any means necessary. We know that one of our lawyers has been meeting with Okorocha clandestinely in the past few weeks just like Buhari through Lawal Daura of DSS has been doing through inducements and threats. Some of our lawyers are currently being investigated by the EFCC at the behest of Daura of DSS over a land case settled years ago, in order to unsettle them sufficiently to turn to DSS informants and ultimately undermine the legal defence of our leader as was the case with Vincent Obetta.

In spite of all these shenanigans by Buhari through Daura of DSS and his co-jesters in the media peddling falsehood about negotiations that our leader never consented to, IPOB worldwide is unwavering, determined and resolute under the supreme command of Nnamdi Kanu. No other person dead or alive has the right to command or can command IPOB whether that person is residing in Government house in Owerri or from a private hospital in Nnewi. Only Nnamdi Kanu can tell us in IPOB what to do and we obey. Anybody else attempting to do so will be comprehensively disgraced.
IPOB rank and file is with their leader Nnamdi Kanu and we speak with one voice. Our decision remains that there will be NO negotiations with Nigeria until Buhari obeys court orders for the unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu.

We would like to remind everyone that whatever statement or information is provided by IPOB either through our spokespersons or live on Radio Biafra broadcast by our Deputy Director is exactly the mind of our leader Nnamdi Kanu because he trained us to always put the needs of Biafra restoration first and never to retreat nor surrender. From the time of the arrest of our leader till date he has never at any time disputed publicly or in private, through his wife or family members any press statement issued by IPOB official spokespersons.

Furthermore, IPOB is aware that Buhari is planning to kill our leader Nnamdi Kanu and is doing so with active connivance of some Igbo politicians with certain executive members of Ohanaeze Ndigbo. We warn Buhari and his cohorts that the murder of Nnamdi Kanu will spell doom not just for Nigeria but the entire sub-region because the fall out will be too disastrous for a sane mind to contemplate. Anybody from the government of Nigeria or Ohanaeze Ndigbo that thinks that Nnamdi Kanu can be another Ken Saro-Wiwa or M.K.O. Abiola is digging their own grave.
IPOB is a global phenomenon, unprecedented in the history of freedom fighting anywhere on earth. We are all over the world with fanatical following. That IPOB has vowed to maintain a peaceful approach to liberating Biafra from the contraption called Nigeria does not translate to allowing Buhari and his conniving so-called Igbo elites to assassinate Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and go scot-free. That will never happen.

We would like to state that IPOB is aware of the fact that all over the world terms for self-determination is always negotiated. But what we insist on is that for Buhari to start any negotiation with IPOB on a peaceful exit of Biafra from Nigeria he must first obey court orders on the unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu. Buhari should also release all Biafrans illegally detained in various prisons in Nigeria.
However IPOB would like to take this opportunity to commend the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) of Nigeria, Hon. Abubakar Malami (SAN) and all those endowed with common sense who have come to understand that all IPOB family members arrested must be released unconditionally because our quest is the restoration of Biafra and not to take over the rulership of Nigeria.

It is instructive to note that the AGF dropped all the charges against IPOB members in Abia State even when Okezie Ikpeazu Abia State governor and other killers of innocent Biafrans in government houses were hell-bent on forging ahead with the ridiculous treasonable felony charges. Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and those like him specifically directed Hausa-Fulani controlled JTF to undertake the indiscriminate slaughter of fellow Biafrans in Aba on more than two occasions. Their judgement is coming and Nigeria they so diligently serve now will abandon them as is happening already with Ikpeazu.

It is a fact that some people within the Judiciary know that there is no evidence of treasonable felony in the case against Nnamdi Kanu which was why a more learned and highly respected judge like Ademola dismissed these charges at the same Federal High Court John Tsoho is now sitting today to make a mockery of himself and justice.

Finally, we want to reiterate that IPOB and N.D.A. share the same ideology and philosophy concerning the liberation of Biafra from Nigeria and this will be the centrepiece of any negotiation that will take place after the unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu. We re-emphasize our stance that there is no negotiation going on at this time and that IPOB and N.D.A. are inseparable in their objectives and expected outcomes.

It is either we get Biafra or we die trying to get Biafra. There is no middle ground, there is no compromising this cardinal point. Let it be known to humanity that there will be no negotiation without first effecting the release of Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally.

The restoration of the blessed nation of Biafra is a divine mission from God Almighty of which Nnamdi Kanu is the chosen messenger.
We are unstoppable, unchangeable, irresistible, and irreversible whether Buhari and Lawal Daura like it or not!!!

Nairaland General#Niger Delta Avengers PRESS Release:let The Military Come To The Creek And Look For Us by FREEDOMLOVER(op): 11:36am On Aug 14, 2016
#NigerDeltaAvengers PRESS RELEASE: If the Nigerian military is serious about arresting #NDA let them come to the creeks of the Niger Delta, that is where we dwell not the city:

We made it clear that the Nigeria Military is using sleepers’ agents to track or checkmate the activities and operation of the Niger delta avengers. But the more they try the more they run into crisis with their employed sleeper agents. Stanley Tonghan and Felix Miyenminiye that were arrested and paraded by the Nigeria Navy Delta are few of the sleeper agents working for Nigeria Military in conjunction with one Ayiri Emani and Michael Johnny.

The Suspects (Tonghan and Felix Miyenminiye) was paid 5 Million Naira to give Nigeria military intelligent on the activities of NDA. On failing to deliver the suspects were arrested and tagged NDA members. What a shame?

Stanley Tonghan and Felix Miyenminiye are not member of NDA we don’t know or have any connection with them. The Navy Commanding Office NNS Delta, Warri(Commodore Joseph Dzunve) is trying to impress his Boss in Abuja but arresting sleeper agents recruited by his predecessor. Any criminal arrested is now an NDA member. Since we (NDA) started the struggle none of our operatives has been arrested. All those in detention in the name of NDA are not part of NDA the world should know this.

Nigeria military have not seen embarrassment. NDA will keep embarrassing you because the only thing you are good at doing in the Niger Delta region is arrest and killing of innocent citizens of the Niger Delta in the name of looking for NDA and illegal bunkering.

If the Nigeria military is serious about arresting NDA let them come to the creeks of the Niger Delta, that is where we dwell not the city. If I (Brig.Gen Moduch Agbinibo) was the Commanding Officer NNS Delta (Commodore Joseph Dzunve) and commander of the so-called Operation Delta Safe (Rear Admiral Joseph Okojie), I would have been in the creeks instead of sitting at the comfort of my air-conditioned office.

To the elders of the Niger Delta, hope it clear to you our elders that the Buhari led government is not reliable, reasonable, responsible and not ready to dialogue. Can you tell the world the government official you been dialoguing with? Is it the President? Or is their any committee that is set up for it?

We respect you our elders, as such stop behaving, as the Niger Delta is a seized region and stop acting like you begging the government for dialogue. The worse the government will do is to bombard our villages and towns in the name of looking for NDA. So our elders should trend carefully with the Nigeria government.

The reason behind military harassment of towns and villages in the Niger Delta is because NDA have not confronted the Nigeria military in battle. We are not scared in confronting you. The creeks of the Niger Delta belong to us so defeating the Nigeria military is not hard for us.

We have made it clear in many occasions that our business is to cripple the Nigeria economy not to kill military. The Nigerian military should not think we (NDA) avoiding them is a sign of weakness.

NIGER DELTA AVENGERS PRESS RELEASE:WE ARE NOT INTIMIDATED:We officially saying that @agbiniboND is our new official twitter account handle.

The Nigeria Military is playing some war game on some illegal bunkering camps and showing video of how they carry out the bombardment. That is so unprofessional don’t think they can intimidate the NDA with those scrap jet bombers. They can deploy fourth generation jet-bombers that will not stop us from fighting for our people.

We challenge the military to share with the public the militants killed in the so-called sir strike. We are very sure they won’t share the images of militants killed because non was killed except innocent women and children.

What we are saying is the country should be restructured. The call for restructuring of Nigeria has gone beyond the NDA. The only group of persons against the restructuring is the Villa. The federal government should just listen to the voice of the citizens instead of playing the deaf ear game.

We officially saying that @agbiniboND is our new official twitter account handle.
Twitter can block or suspend our account but they can’t stop or block our struggle.

Nairaland GeneralI Reject Buhari’s One Nigeria;this One Nigeria Is A Fraud Not What We Fought For by FREEDOMLOVER(op): 12:57pm On Jul 21, 2016
UNLESS YOU ARE ONE OF THE BENEFACTOR OF ONE-NIGERIA, IF NOT THIS ARTICLE MAY GET YOU THINKING ABOUT THE FRAUD CALLED ONE-NIGERIA,WHAT IT STAND FOR AND WHAT IT HAS DONE TO RUIN YOUR LIFE.
THIS MAY ALSO GIVE YOU REASONS WHY PEOPLE LIKE #HITLERBUHARI WANT ONE-NIGERIA AT ALL COST BUT NOTHING THEY CAN DO AT THIS STAGE BECAUSE #BIAFRA NATION MUST SEPARATE FROM EVIL NIGERIA.

Read....I reject Buhari’s One Nigeria; THIS ONE NIGERIA IS A FRAUD NOT WHAT WE FOUGHT FOR

We are now concentrating on the militants to know how many they are, especially in terms of groupings, leadership and to plead with them to try and give Nigeria a chance.

“I assure them that the saying by Gen. Yakubu Gowon that ‘to keep Nigeria one is a task that must be done’ still stands. In those days we never thought of oil all we were concerned about was one Nigeria.

“So please pass this message to the militants, that one Nigeria is not negotiable and they had better accept it. The Nigerian Constitution is clear as to what they should get and I assure them, there will be justice.” – President Muhammadu Buhari, to some residents of Abuja who paid him Sallah homage recently.

President Buhari’s off-the-cuff statement above provides an opportunity for us to pick the mindsets of Nigerians on what they really mean by the concept of “One Nigeria”. It is obvious that “One Nigeria” does not have a single meaning for all of us; going by the way we carry on, especially when we find ourselves in positions of power as Buhari currently does.

Let me describe my own idea of One Nigeria. It is a crossbreed between the Zikist and Awoist visions of the unity of Nigeria. Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, the father of African Nationalism and foremost exponent of Nigeria’s independence, believed in a Nigeria where all citizens would share one vision and national aspiration, irrespective of their tribes, tongues, regions, religions, majority or minority status. That is the kind of nationalism practised in Ghana, a country whose foremost independence proponent and Pan-Africanist, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, was inspired by the Great Zik.

In Ghana, tribe, region and religion are no impediments to national unity. That is why the longest-ruling head of state, John Jerry Rawlings (a minority), was able to seize power and sanitise Ghana. He laid a solid foundation for today’s success story. Contrast this with Nigeria, where an earlier attempt by Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu and his colleagues ended up being given an ethno-religious and regional toga. It resulted in a civil war at the end of which Nigeria became a colonial booty of Arewa (the Muslim North).

The Awoist version of One Nigeria recognised the differences between the various groups and sought to establish a structure in which all these groups could live within their geopolitical enclaves and aspire competitively for the greatness of a united nation. Nobody’s ethnic, religious or cultural hang-ups would slow down the progress of others who do not share these hang-ups, and yet all would belong equally and equitably to one nation in spite of their complex diversity. This arrangement is often described as “true federalism”.

So, in this Nigeria of my dreams, those who want to practice Islamic Sharia in their home zone can go ahead. Those who want to cut off the hands of their thieves and overpopulate their home zones with illiterate citizens will not be an impediment to my section which wants to exercise population control, give good education to the young people and offer them a modern, civilised lifestyle comparable to the best in the world. You use what you produce to cater for your people but pay rents to the Federal Government to maintain the common services that bind us together as people of One Nigeria. But you do not use your landmass and population to parasite upon and terrorise others and suck their resources dry in the name of “One Nigeria” which, you insist, is “non-negotiable”.

Buhari made reference to what General Gowon told them as young soldiers during the civil war, which was that, “to keep Nigeria one is a task must be done”. Gowon’s charge to his soldiers was meant to bring back the former Eastern Region which was forced by injustice and insecurity within Nigeria to seek safety in a breakaway Republic of Biafra. Majority of Nigerians (not just Northern Nigerians of Arewa extraction) eagerly participated in enforcing the unity of Nigeria through that war.

The question we must ask ourselves is: why is it that 46 years after, those who fought in the war and are now in their seventies and eighties are still in charge running the country with their archaic and retrogressive mentalities? Why are they still putting a gun on the heads of Nigerians, threatening that to keep Nigeria one is a task that must be done? Is there any country in the world apart from Nigeria that maintains “national unity” at gunpoint? Why is it that more and more groups are copycatting Biafra with either secession or self-determination bids if, indeed, the civil war kept Nigeria one?

In any case, is it indeed true that Nigeria’s unity is “non-negotiable” as Buhari says? For me, it an old lie told a million times by people who do not even take time to check what they are saying. The truth is that the negotiation of the unity of Nigeria is constantly ongoing and (unfortunately) never-ending. The Aburi Accord was a product of negotiation of Nigeria’s unity. All the constitutional talks after the civil war in 1977/78, 1989, 1994, 2006 and 2014 were acts of negotiation of Nigeria’s unity.

After the annulment of Moshood Abiola’s victory in 1993, the North negotiated among themselves and gave up the presidency to the Yoruba people to entice them to remain with the Nigerian project. They banned Northerners from contesting the presidency, and overwhelmingly gave their votes to Olusegun Obasanjo.

The Yar’ Adua regime negotiated with the Niger Delta militants to drop their arms and accept “amnesty” and some lollipops in return. Nigeria has been begging to negotiate with Boko Haram since the days of President Goodluck Jonathan till date, and even Buhari himself is still on his knees begging the Niger Delta Avengers for negotiation and offering to do “justice” (the same justice he has refused to do since he was elected a year ago!).

All these negotiations were efforts to wrest some justice, fairness and equity for people who are not happy with Nigeria. They were thwarted because Nigerians are very easily fooled by cosmetic red herrings, such as concession of the presidency, creation of more states, granting of “amnesty” to aggrieved agitators, appointment of a few of your people to glamorous government offices and flashing of cash to shut up noisy mouths. It also comes in the form of intimidation, persecution by prosecution, freezing of accounts, detention and (in extreme cases) outright elimination of recalcitrant opposition.

Even when you thought that seventeen years of renascent democracy had gradually moved Nigeria towards some semblance of geopolitical equalisation, a forgotten fossil of the Nigerian civil war, General Muhammadu Buhari, is brought back to power. He relaunches the worst form of extreme nepotism which even a Northern reactionary commentator, such as Junaidu Mohammed, recently openly condemned. Who would have, in their wildest dream, believed that 46 years after the civil war, it would be possible to have a Federal Government in which the kinsmen and religious acolytes of a sitting President would so predominate in total defiance of the Federal Character principle enshrined in our Constitution?

And this is Buhari’s idea of One Nigeria which he vows to maintain? He can count me out of that! This is not the One Nigeria that the people of the North Central, South-South and South West fought for, and certainly not the One Nigeria which the ex-Biafrans looked forward to when they returned in 1970. This is not the One Nigeria which the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) prescribes because it does not give me a feeling of belonging. I reject Muhammadu Buhari’s lopsided One Nigeria!

Nairaland General#biafrexit:ipob Wont Settle For Anything Less Than Total Exit From Nigeria by FREEDOMLOVER(op): 5:00pm On Jul 17, 2016
STIMULATING CAREFUL CONSIDERATION ARTICLE:

#Biafrexit: Indigenous people of Biafra wont settle for anything less than total exit from zoo called Nigeria.

Sam Omatseye’s piece in the Nation, “The Ghost of Biafra,” this past week adds to the growing discussion on the inevitable impact of the new secessionist movement in important ways. The kernel of that column is that Nigeria as a nation runs in vain from its obligation to effect closure on the Biafran experience. Omatseye, of course skirts certain issues, and fudges a few, including the important question he raises: “how could a people knowing that they did not have the arms still plunge to war against an overwhelming armed opponent

In other words, why did the leaders of the East fight, when they knew they were outgunned? The simple answer is that
(a) The East fought to survive. They did not levy war against Nigeria. War was levied on the East when the federal side reneged on the terms of peace arrived at in Aburi. The Federal Government initiated the war on July 6, 1967, by opening two fronts from the North: the Nsukka front and the Gakem front. Ojukwu evacuated Enugu, and responded with a defensive strategy;
(b) as a means of easing the pressure of attack from the North, Biafra’s Liberation Army led by Brigadier Victor Banjo and Colonel Emma Ifeajuna as his Chief of Staff opened the Midwest corridor to foreclose the attack formation already planned from Jebba by the Federal forces, through the Midwest using the Military Division already established for that purpose led by Murtala Muhammed, circumventing Benin through Auchi, moving through Agbor to the East. The movement of the Biafran forces on August 9, into the Midwest, ruptured that plan.

The Liberation Army would have arrived Ibadan and secured Lagos, and the tides of the war would have been dramatically turned, but for the extraordinary meeting between Banjo, Ifeajuna, and Mr. Bell, the Deputy British High Commissioner in Benin City as the Biafrans moved in a claw formation from Warri through Benin and through Auchi towards the West. Banjo’s dilemma, regarding the threat to bomb Lagos from the sea by the British frigate and turn the West into a theatre of war, and the threat to wipe out Banjo’s family still in Lagos left him with very little choices, other than to stymie the Liberation Army in the Midwest, order a haphazard withdrawal, and the rest is now history.

As a matter of fact, one of the key actors in that event, the playwright and Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka, already waiting in Ibadan with a “reception party,” has written about this in two of his very important memoirs, The Man Died and You Must Set Forth at Dawn. But Nigerians hardly read these days, except for religious tracts.

But Omatseye is right: War is a messy business. The after effects linger and take doggone time and supreme effort to heal. Nigeria has not healed from the last major war. It is that war that is the ghost that haunts Nigeria.

That war is also the spectre rearing up today in the self-determination movements that are now challenging the basis of Nigerian nationhood. The IPOB/MASSOB and the Niger Delta Avengers are now raising the question of a “Biafraexit” – the call for a referendum on Biafra to constitutionally determine whether Biafra should be allowed to exit Nigeria as a separate nation. The Separatist movement has been gathering momentum since 1999, and has been recently fueled by President Buhari’s adversarial, isolationist, discriminatory and conquistadorial domestic policies.

It does now seem that the greatest threat to the continued survival of Nigeria is the president of Nigeria himself who seems bent on pursuing a narrow revanchist agenda, as well as the use of coercion to stop the secessionist movement which has grown as a counter force to his revanchism. Recently, the president declared that Nigeria’s “unity” was “not negotiable.” Happily many people, including Wole Soyinka, have told him that Nigerian unity is in fact negotiable. The president of course is not talking about real “unity.” He is talking about the unity which the late Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu once described as like the relationship between Jonah and the Belly of the whale. Unity cannot be legislated.

Unity is the product of a felt sense of shared destiny and values. And this is the point that the Biafran secessionists are making. I’d like to say this: every Nigerian must support the right of the Biafrans to seek self-determination through the plebiscitory process. The Biafrans must have their referendum, as permitted in International Law, on the question of “Biafrexit.” In 1964, the founding father of the modern Nigerian nation, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, wrote in the US Foreign Policy magazine, warning that though he preferred an organic nation, it might yet be better for the leaders of Nigeria to meet, and sit, and negotiate how “we will all go our separate ways peacefully” rather than push Nigeria, then lurching towards a bloodfest, to the ultimate evil of a civil war that would claim millions of Nigerian lives. Azikiwe was prescient in 1964, and I stand with the great Zik on this. It is important to settle this question of Biafra’s secession once and for all by peaceful means through a referendum.

To that end, I think that those calling for secession should do the right thing: they should collect the required signatures and write the National Assembly to initiate the referendum, with a copy forwarded to the United Nations. Thereafter they should campaign for support. Here is what the Biafrans are arguing: they are arguing for a restructuring of Nigeria because Nigeria in its current formation is oppressive to their interest and survival; if Nigeria does not want to restructure constitutionally, they are arguing for peaceful exit through referendum. They are arguing that the federal government failed to meet its own obligation under the truce called “No Victor, No vanquished” by not fulfilling the promised three R’s in the old East, and by launching policies that have discriminated against, and isolated the East, especially the Igbo people, since the end of the war.

They have argued that the Federal government has repeatedly failed to protect Igbo lives and property from the indiscriminate attack nation-wide, and therefore they no longer trust the government of Nigeria to secure their lives. They have argued that as republican people, they have nothing in common, culturally, with the rest of Nigeria, and that they reserve the right to pursue their separate destiny, and redeem their society from underdevelopment and poverty using their talents and energy freed from the inherent draw-backs of a Nigeria with feudal and monarchical traditions and tendencies that squelches the Igbo spirit, and the spirit of their Biafran neighbors with long, cherished republican and democratic traditions. And they have also argued about the criminal exploitation and expropriation of resources from their oil rich region which has left the region very impoverished and ecologically devastated and they want the right of self-determination in order to have the power to restore the ecological balance of the delta. These are very powerful arguments, and I am quit

Nairaland General#dss Under Buhari Is A Terrorist:another Failed Attempt To Criminalize #IPOB by FREEDOMLOVER(op): 12:45am On Jul 02, 2016
The Department of State Security Services, DSS, is it again and starkly economical with the truth over its latest claims that “it has arrested an IPOB member in connection with plans to carry out coordinated attacks against religious bodies/edifices; police check points and the Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos State with Improvised Explosive Devices”. The DSS says “the known IPOB member was arrested while making logistics supplies for their nefarious plan”.

The DSS further claimed that there are plans by the IPOB to carry out terrorist attacks during the Sallah celebration across the country. In other words, the DSS is saying, just as it falsely claimed few months ago, that the IPOB “is a terrorist organization”; thereby comparing it with the Boko Haram terror group that is notorious in engaging in deadly bombing activities particularly during high profile religious activities such as Xmas and Sallah feasts. This is a criminal stigmatization too many.

The DSS statement, as usual, is unprofessional and inter-service unfriendly. For instance, the DSS was not created to tackle common street crimes like armed robbery, kidnapping or gun running. It is purely the duties of the Nigeria Police Force and its specialist agencies such as CID and SARS to handle such. Even if the DSS provides intelligence, leading to the apprehension of the suspects, the substantive post arrest processes including investigations and public updates on progress of same, statutorily reside with the Nigeria Police Force. To say the least, the DSS is dangerously over-stepping its statutory bounds and must be called to order.

Just as the Service goofed unpardonable in its April 9, 2016 phantom claims of murdering of “Five Hausa-Fulani Citizens by IPOB in Abia State”, the DSS has in its latest statement, made further mockery of the country’s intelligence community regionally and internationally by unprofessionally muddling up issues and engaging in falsehood of unpardonable proportion. The DSS is obviously a major victim of Nigeria’s securitization and intelligence decadence.

However, our major concern here is another attempt at labelling the IPOB and its leadership as “a terrorist organization”. The DSS has failed again just as it failed before. Labelling and stigmatizing the IPOB as “a raging and ravaging terrorist organization” is totally annoying and reprehensible. The IPOB has been forced by all means by the Buhari administration through its army, DSS, police, etc to abandon its strong nonviolence avowal and methodology and where these attempts have failed, resort to all kinds of stigmatization to label it so has been made and is still being made.

Records at our disposal, following our in-depth investigation concerning the arrest of Engineer Chidiebere Onwudiwe since early hours of Wednesday, June 22, 2016, have again, rubbished the DSS latest claims of “arresting a known IPOB member for planned terrorist attacks on religious bodies/edifices and Ikeja Computer Village”. Engineer Chidiebere Onwudiwe, to put the records straight for all Nigerians and members of the international community”, including the lying DSS; is the National Coordinator of the IPOB and well known to local and international rights and media organizations as well as members of international diplomatic community. He is non violent and has never used or advocated violence till date.

Some months ago, instructed agents of the Buhari administration infiltrated the ranks of the IPOB locally and internationally and successfully planted “strawmen” or moles within the group, leading to internal division within its ranks. The government sponsored division was put on hold following the transfer of its leader (Nnamdi Kanu) from DSS underground detention to Kuje Prisons.

In the May 30, 2016 violently aborted Igbo/Biafran Heroes Day anniversary, the ranks of the IPOB were again infiltrated by agents of the Federal Government with heavy inducement, leading to internal sabotage of the anniversary, with the “purchased” leaking vital information about the preparation of the peaceful rally to government, on account of which, as much as 140 unarmed and innocent citizens were massacred and numerous others deadly shot with live bullets fired by soldiers, navy and police from automatic weapons.

In the late evening of June 21, 2016, Mr. Onwudiwe, who resides in Rumukurushi area of Port Harcourt, was trailed through a certain Sienna car he was driving home with by some secret operatives aided by some mole-IPOB members. He was trailed to the front of his residence where he parked and headed into his apartment. He was returning from the routine meeting of his group in Port Harcourt when he was sighted with a Sienna car and trailed. Before then, a complaint had been instigated against him at DSS, Port Harcourt, by some of his members, compromised by government agents; who alleged leadership crisis.

It was on account of such conspiracy that the DSS chaps later mobilized and stormed Engineer Chidiebere Onwudiwe’s house in the hours of the blue law or early morning of June 22, 2016; violently broke his door and swooped on him, leading to his arrest and detention in the DSS cell till date. It is therefore surprising and shocking as per how the above scenario is connected to the DSS concoction. How can the DSS claim that “he was arrested while making logistics supplies for their nefarious plan”? Does a citizen make logistics supplies in his or her sleep?

The DSS also childishly theorized Mr. Onwudiwe’s “mechanical and chemical” university training as a surely ticket of his potentials of “making and detonating bombs”. Planning to “attack religious bodies/edifices and Ikeja Computer Village”, is further concoction too many. That a citizen was unjustly arrested and unconstitutionally detained since June 22, 2016 and only for his arrest to be made public few days to the Sallah celebration, further exposes the Federal Government bent to give a dog a bad name so as to hang it at all costs.

Nairaland GeneralThere Must Be “biafrexit“ In Line With The Just Concluded “brexit“ by FREEDOMLOVER(op): 12:48pm On Jun 25, 2016
BIAFRA TIMES:IPOB PRESS RELEASE: THERE MUST BE “BIAFREXIT“ IN LINE WITH THE JUST CONCLUDED “BREXIT“

June 25, 2016

The British Government which is the closest ally of the Nigerian Government must, as a mark of exemplary leadership, guide Muhammadu Buhari and his colleagues to organize a BIAFREXIT akin to the recently organized BREXIT. The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) congratulate the Government and people of Britain for organizing the BREXIT vote and applaud the British Government for respecting the wishes of her citizens. However, it smacks of hypocrisy that the same David Cameron that initiated the BREXIT vote has been propping up the Buhari‘s Government in their murderous acts of suppressing the quest by Biafrans to exit from Nigeria. This leaves Biafrans to ask if David Cameron’s hypocrisy is because Biafrans are blacks and if black Africans are inferior to white British people?

Why does David Cameron think that what is good for the white British people is not good for the black people of Africa especially Biafrans? Mr. David Cameron, in organizing BREXIT is taking advantage of the rights of people to make their choice. But in denying Biafrans the right to choose their own nation, David Cameron is telling Biafrans that they are inferior because of the colour of their skin. David Cameron is directly telling Biafrans that because they come from an inferior race, they do not deserve to exist as a nation of their own choice.

There are indications that Scotland will restart their agitation for separation from Britain and both David Cameron and his would-be successor will not stop them nor will they roll out tanks and other lethal weapons to mow down the Scots like the British-supported Nigeria has been doing to Biafrans. We have to re-emphasize here that self-determination is a right that must be exercised by all free people. Even Donald Trump, the presidential candidate of the Republican Party in the USA tweeted on the 24th of June, 2016 that “Self-determination is the sacred right of all free peoples.” By blocking the self-determination efforts of Biafrans through overt and covert supports to the killer called Muhammadu Buhari, is David Cameron telling the world that Biafrans are still in slavery despite the abolition of slavery in 1833?

IPOB have also observed with keen interest the consistent British Government’s official policy of not supporting any Christian nation that needs support for independence or that is going through any form of internal/external aggression. On the other hand, the British Government have always supported a Muslim nation against a Christian nation in any conflict just as they supported the Muslim-dominated Nigeria to carry out genocide against a Christian Biafran nation between 1967 and 1970. While IPOB is not against the religious inclinations of any nation, we do note with concern the British Government’s penchant for supporting Muslim nation against a Christian nation.

We also note the faulty argument by David Cameron and the British Government that they do not want to alter the pre-independence territorial integrity of Nigeria. But this same territorial integrity of Nigeria was tampered with by the ceding of Bakassi to Cameroun. We recall that in 1982 Britain went to war with Argentina over the Falkland Islands but this same Britain never supported Nigeria to prevent the ceding of Bakassi to Cameroun and this distortion of the pre-independence territorial integrity of Nigeria is the same excuse used by Britain to continue to keep Biafra under Nigeria.

From the success of BREXIT, we call upon the incoming Prime Minister to work with Buhari to speedily organize BIAFREXIT. In addition, we warn the incoming Prime Minister that failure to probe the criminality of Buhari against the Biafrans will make Britain culpable in the re-enacted 21st century Biafran genocide. It is unfair and hypocritical that the British Government will allow free expression of the wishes of her citizens while on the other hand supporting Buhari in his brutal mass-murder of Biafrans who are exercising their God-given freedom to determine their nationality. We believe that the days of slavery are gone and the black race should not be treated as an inferior and expendable race.

The time has come for BIAFREXIT and Britain must support it.

RESTORATION OF BIAFRA HAS MOVE TO THE NEXT PHASE AND ITS FINAL PHASE THE INVADERS(NIGERIANS) WILL SOON RUN AWAY:

#OperationRedEconomy:New militant group emerges in Imo, threatens to shut down oil facilities

Slightly more than one week after Imo legislators condemned the exclusion of the state from the Federal Government proposed dialogue with oil producing states in the Niger Delta region, in its bid to quell the armed hostilities in the region, a new militant group has emerged in the state.

The new group, Niger Delta Red Squad, which had claimed responsibility for the blowing up of two pipelines belonging to Shell in the Asa/Awarra axis of Ohaji Egbema Council Area, has also threatened to attack major oil pipelines in Oguta Council Area and ultimately shutdown all oil wells in the state.

The group, which was announced through a Facebook update, claimed it had what it takes to carry out the threat, warning that until the oil producing areas in the state are giving what rightfully belongs to them, the area will no longer be peaceful for oil companies to operate.

An ex-militants from the area confirmed the existence of the group but quickly added that he was not involved in the renewed militancy.

Nairaland GeneralIndigenous People Of Biafra Support Our Kith & Kin - The Niger Delta Avengers by FREEDOMLOVER(op): 3:33am On Jun 19, 2016
June 18, 2016

Press Release

INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF BIAFRA SUPPORT OUR KITH & KIN - THE NIGER DELTA AVENGERS

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu hereby state that we support our kith and kin – the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), who are fighting for the freedom of our people from the enslaving Islamic Republic of Nigerian Government. We want to place it on record that IPOB under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has no connection with some groups who are claiming on the pages of Nigerian newspapers that they do not support our fellow freedom fighters – the NDA.
We make reference to a particular group which is a well-known turncoat and their leader who has been bribed with oil blocks allocations in the oil-rich areas of Biafraland. This same compromised group is known to have started the ugly incidence of kidnapping in Biafraland and their members often used as thugs and hired killers for politicians in Nigeria.

The NDA have consistently stated that the release of IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is a precondition for any discussion with Nigeria. Unfortunately and disgracefully, the incompetent and intellectually challenged Nigerian Government has swept this demand under the carpet while magnifying the notion of amnesty payments and resource control as reasons for the NDA‘s actions. For the avoidance of doubt, the NDA is fighting for the freedom of the people of Biafra and not for amnesty payment or for resource control as some commentators would like to believe. When Biafra is finally liberated from the bondage called Nigeria, resources shall be controlled by the owners of the land where those resources are located. The perennially incompetent Nigerian Government should stop deceiving the entire world into believing that what the freedom fighters of NDA are demanding is resource control.

Amnesty is associated with criminality and a people who are fighting for their freedom should not be unjustly termed criminals. The notion and talk of amnesty for our own freedom fighters (the NDA) is a misnomer and should be taken out of any discourse. On the contrary, amnesty should be granted to the Nigerian Government especially to those from the criminal class masquerading as elites who unjustly appropriated oil & gas wells and other resources in Biafraland to themselves and their cohorts to the detriment of the masses. These robbers should be associated with amnesty for their economic criminality not the NDA.

As far as IPOB and the generality of Biafrans are concerned, the NDA is doing the right thing by demanding the freedom our people from the perpetually repressive Nigerian state. Unlike some groups pretending to be Biafran freedom fighters, the NDA and IPOB have a common ideology and objective which is the absolute liberation of the nation of Biafra from the British-contraption created by an alien called Frederick Lugard who is not even a black African. It defies logic to think that a white man can come all the way from Britain to create and name a country in already inhabited Africa for black people,

Ironically, most of the leaders of the compromized groups are speaking against the great work that the NDA are doing. These shameless scavenging Hausa-Fulani sponsored slaves in Biafraland have placed the needs of their stomach and their families above the overall national interest of the liberation of their people who are under the enslavement of the Nigerian Government in concert with the British Government who have never supported the liberation of any christian country in the world. The leaders of these obviously compromised groups have gone into hotel business, real estate industry, oil & gas extraction business and other profit-generating endeavours and have for long abandoned the quest for the freedom of the people of Biafra.

It is not a surprise therefore that these compromized groups have now come out to distance themselves from the genuine efforts of the NDA that is aimed at fulfilling the yearning and expectations of every Biafran. We reiterate that IPOB is totally and absolutely in support of the NDA as they march towards the unconditional liberation of our people from the evil grip of Nigerian Government. We plead with the NDA not to be discouraged by the comments and antics of these so-called leaders of these compromized groups and some other charlatans who parade themselves as freedom fighters. The NDA should know that the only ally they have now is IPOB under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu.

IPOB is warning the extremist Nigerian Government of Buhari that should they invade any part of Biafraland, as intelligence indicate they are planning to, then IPOB will order every youth in Biafraland to join NDA to defend Biafraland. Muhammadu Buhari and his gangs massacred Biafrans in their millions at Owerri in 1968 but Biafrans will never allow such atrocity to be repeated on Biafraland ever again. We shall fight to the last man standing because Biafra is our life and the restoration of the nation of Biafra is a task that must be achieved.

IPOB wholeheartedly support the NDA as they work diligently and heroically towards the liberation of all parts of Biafraland from the Lugard created abomination called Nigeria.

The world street journal: Buhari is Nigeria's problem, Not its solution

INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY ARE GRADUALLY REALIZING THAT NIGERIA HAS COLLAPSED,SOON THEIR INTEREST WILL BE DIRECTED TOWARD BIAFRA BECAUSE WORLD POLITIC IS ALL ABOUT WHERE A COUNTRY INTEREST WILL BE SERVED.
IN INTERNATIONAL POLITICS THERE IS NO PERMANENT ENEMY WHAT WE HAVE IS PERMANENT INTEREST:

The news....Buhari Is Nigeria’s Problem, Not Its Solution
It’s hard to see how President Buhari’s policies are good for Nigeria’s future.
June 16, 2016 4:33 p.m. ET

Nigerian President Muhummadu Buhari writes of building an economic bridge to Nigeria’s future (“The Three Changes Nigeria Needs,” op-ed, June 14). It’s hard to see how his administration’s inflexibility, lack of vision and reactive approach will achieve this.

Mr. Buhari notes that building trust is a priority for Nigeria. But an anticorruption drive that is selective and focused on senior members of the opposition party creates deep political divisions. Meanwhile, members of Mr. Buhari’s own cabinet, accused of large-scale corruption, walk free. Seventy percent of the national treasury is spent on the salaries and benefits of government officials, who make upwards of $2 million a year.

As for Mr. Buhari’s ideas to rebalance the economy and regenerate growth, his damaging and outdated monetary policy has been crippling. The manufacturing sector, essential to Nigeria’s diversification, has been hardest hit, exacerbating an already fast-growing employment crisis. Foreign investors have started to flee en masse.

Mr. Buhari makes only brief mention of the country’s deteriorating security situation. But security and stability are precursors to economic growth and development. Boko Haram has been pushed back for now, but little attention is paid to the structural issues that have spurred its rise.

Instead, the Nigerian government has diverted much-needed military resources to the Niger Delta, where rising militancy has reduced Nigeria’s oil production to less than half the country’s capacity, and half the amount required to service the national budget. Much of these tensions arise from Mr. Buhari’s decision to cut amnesty payments to militants and an excessively hard-line approach in a socially and politically sensitive environment.

Other ethnic tensions are also growing. In the country’s south, protests have been met by a bloody response from the Nigerian military, stoking the fire and galvanizing support for an independent state of Biafra. Rising tensions could again pose one of the greatest threats to Nigeria’s stability and future.

Nairaland GeneralSee What Drives Fear Of Biafra On The So Called Apostle Suleiman by FREEDOMLOVER(op): 10:50am On Jun 14, 2016
FOLLOW ME LET'S CONSIDER IF MR SULEIMAN IS AN APOSTLE OF YAHUAH ELOHIM (CHUKWU OKIKE ABIAMA) FROM BIBLICAL POINT TO KNOW WHAT DRIVES HIS FEAR OF BIAFRA :

In my opinion reason the so called Apostle Johnson Suleiman could not hide any long his Biafra-phobia is because he has seen that Biafra is almost restored and Biafra restoration will be down fall of all the so called pastors milking our people. The use of visions, prophecy and miracle to enslave our people will no more be effective because decency will return again in our land.
The enslavement of our people, the likes of Mr Suleiman are enjoying today will no longer be potent especially in the area of religious enslavement. The likes of Mr Suleiman knows very well they will lose millions of dollars our people are contributing to them to maintain their luxuries reason they are more or equal with Nigerian state to keep Biafra in perpetual slavery. All these state actors and Non state actors are working in consensus to undermine Biafra restoration but their efforts are in vain. Who can battle with Chukwu Okike Abiama?

The so called Apostle Johnson Suleiman for me is one of the day abomination misleading ignorant people in the name of ministering to them as a pastor. Does the Suleiman even qualified to lead a congregation unto Chukwu okike abiama?
NO! He is not.
He was born of Muslim parents apparently he is a Muslim and i don't know when he turn Christian but as a born Muslim its obvious Mr Suleiman was not circumcised as commanded by Yahuah Elohim the Most High.

Some people who do not obey the commandment of Yahuah might said circumcision does not matter but it matters.
Please consider the following:
Do you have to be circumcised to be saved” might come as a surprise to you but YES you do have to be circumcised to be saved.
You have to be Torah observant of Yahuah.
Leviticus 22:31 "Therefore you shall keep My commandments, and perform them: I am the LORD.
Is circumcision a commandment of God? Yes! (Commandment is a must, Not an option)
Leviticus 12:3 'And on the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.
Are we commanded to keep all the commandments of God? Yes!

The above alone disqualified the Suleiman to lead a congregation let alone claim to be MAN OF GOD to speak against the chosen people of Yahuah (Chukwu Okike Abiama), the Hebrew YISRAELITE(BIAFRANS) because he was not circumcised even as he turned Christian.
I therefore don’t consider this business man name Suleiman an APOSTLE who is using church to enrich himself like every other anti-Christ ravaging our physical and spiritual lives today.
Please don’t tell me he see vision, prophecy or perform miracle, If you go to India you will meet many magicians who sees vision and perform miracle, that does not make them men of Yahuah Elohim

So therefore by Mr Suleiman blasphemous pronouncement that Biafra is dead people will definitely witness his decline because Chukwu Okike Abiama said in His word i will bless those bless Yisrael and i will curse those who curse Yisrael.
Biafra will soon rise again according to the prophecy concerning Gad the 7th son of Jacob who is one of the ancestral lineage of Biafra ;"Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last(Genesis 49:19)

FOR THOSE ASKING WHY LIBERATION FORCE (JNDLF) SCALE BACK ON THEIR PLANS TO FIRE MISSILES THEY PREPARED FOR ZOO,HERE IS THE REASON:

JOINT NIGER DELTA LIBERATION FORCE (JNDLF):“Why We Ceased-fire on Our Earlier Missiles Launch”

Press Statement
There is no gainsaying that we made our earlier promise to launch 6
Missiles simultaneously against some targeted areas. But this was
waved side as a result of Federal Government and some international
nations through email to us to open talks with Buhari.

Niger Delta militants on high seas (AFP)_2
We saw some genuine aspiration on the part of Pharaoh of Nigeria
(Buhari) who made several contacts to us to see reasons with them in
terms of under-development of the region. And since he (Buhari) had
set the ball rolling for a clear negotiation with us, there is no
problem without solution hence we ceasefire to negotiate with the
government if it is a true reflection of what they have in mind to
development the Niger Delta region.
We are not ready to negotiate with the federal government in terms of
monetary benefit to us but how genuinely the government can develop
the region is at the centre of our discussion, anything less than that
we will continue our struggle without further warning to the federal
government.
Our demands include:
1. Immediate release of the former National Security Adviser (NSA),
Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd.) and Dr. Nnamdi Kanu, whose releases was
pronounced by the court severally and their continue detention is
unconstitutional and against the tenet of our nascent democracy in the
country.
2. Direct EFCC to defreeze the bank accounts of ex-militant leader,
Government Ekpemupolo, (a.k.a. Tompolo)
3. The only Nigerian Maritime University sited in the most appropriate
and befitting place – Okerenkoko in Delta State, must start the
2015/2016 academic session immediately.
4. The immediate implementation of the report of the 2014 National
Conference report, failure of which Nigeria will forcefully break-up.
5. Oil-polluted lands in the Niger Delta must be cleaned up, while
compensation should be paid to all oil-producing communities, e.g.
Chevron fire outbreak of gas explosion in Koluama, Bayelsa state and
Bonga Oil Spill in 2011.
6. Removal of Brigadier General Paul Boroh (rtd.) as an Amnesty
Coordinator who is naïve about the programmes and policies and does
not know us to the grassroot. Hence he (Boroh) should be re-placing
with Dr. Felix Tuodolo who has been in the struggle of non-violence
since 1980 and the designer of the Amnesty programme, as this will
stall further vandalization of pipelines in the region.
7. Why all these attacks on oil and gas pipelines in the region is
that the Pharaoh of Nigeria (Buhari) made a childish statement that,
he will develop those areas that gave him 95% votes during his
presidential election last year. We the Niger Delta people only gave
him 5% hence we vowed that our oil money will not be use for the
development of any other region. The President should change his mind
set towards the region, if not this will continue.
We further thanked the American government and other international
nations through several email, in prevailing on us not to use Missiles
but to tow the part of coming into a round table discussion with the
federal government, we shall continue to engage in dialogue if our
demands are met. Our representatives for the dialogue especially the
Governors and others will not betray our demands with the federal
government. Any betrayal on their own part shall be viewed as betrayal
of the entire region and we shall go after them immediately as they
knows our mode of operation in which they will not escape from us. We
also thank our foreign partners who have gone back with their
chartered submarine vessel if these demands are not met as we have
ceasefire now, there will be NO further ultimatum to the Nigerian
government.

AMNESTY INTL REPORT ON IT'S INVESTIGATION ON STATE SPONSORED TERRORISM AGAINST BIAFRANS BY #HITLERBUHARI WITH HIS TERRORIST GROUPS:

AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL @AmnestyOnline: Killing of unarmed pro-Biafra supporters by military must be urgently investigated

An on-the-ground investigation by Amnesty International has confirmed that the Nigerian army gunned down unarmed people ahead of last month’s planned pro-Biafran commemoration events in Onitsha, Anambra state.

Evidence gathered from eyewitnesses, morgues and hospitals confirms that between 29-30 May 2016, the Nigerian military opened fire on members of the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), supporters and bystanders at three locations in the town.

“Opening fire on peaceful IPOB supporters and bystanders who clearly posed no threat to anyone is an outrageous use of unnecessary and excessive force and resulted in multiple deaths and injuries. In one incident one person was shot dead after the authorities burst in on them while they slept,” said M.K. Ibrahim, Country Director of Amnesty International Nigeria.

“These shootings, some of which may amount to extra judicial executions, must be urgently and independently investigated and anyone suspected of criminal responsibility must be brought to justice.”

The exact number of deaths is unknown, partly due to the fact that the Nigerian army took away corpses and the injured.

In one incident one person was shot dead after the authorities burst in on them while they slept
MK Ibrahim

Amnesty International has received reports from various sources on the ground alleging that at least 40 people were killed and more than 50 injured.

After visits to hospitals and morgues, the organization has confirmed - based on this initial investigation - that at least 17 people were killed and nearly 50 injured. The real number is likely to be higher.

Some of the dead and injured IPOB supporters seen by an Amnesty International researcher were shot in the back, an indication that they were fleeing the scene when they were shot.

The leadership of IPOB claim more than 50 of their members were killed. The Nigerian army has said in a statement that they acted in self-defence, and five IPOB members were killed. However, Amnesty International has seen no evidence that the killings were necessary to protect life. Although the police also claim that IPOB supporters killed two policemen the next day in neighbouring Asaba, Delta state, Amnesty International cannot confirm this claim. However, such killings would not substantiate the army’s argument they acted in self-defence.

A joint security operation was carried out by the Nigerian army, police and navy between the night of 29 May and throughout 30May, apparently intended to prevent a march by IPOB members from the Nkpor motor park to a nearby field for a rally. Before the march began the military raided homes and a church where IPOB members were sleeping.

IPOB supporters told Amnesty International that hundreds of people who had come from neighbouring states, were asleep in the St Edmunds Catholic church when soldiers stormed the compound on 29 May.

I saw one boy trying to answer a question. He immediately raised his hands, but the soldiers opened fire…He lay down, lifeless. I saw this myself
Witness to the shootings

A 32-year-old hair dresser who was in the church told Amnesty International: “At about midnight we heard someone banging the door. We refused to open the door but they forced the door open and started throwing teargas. They also started shooting inside the compound. People were running to escape. I saw one guy shot in the stomach. He fell down but the teargas could not allow people to help him. I did not know what happened to the guy as I escaped and ran away.”

Another witness told Amnesty International that on the morning of 30 Mayhe saw soldiers open fire on a group of around 20 men and boys aged between 15 and 45 at the Nkpor Motor Park on the morning of 30 May. He says that five of them were killed.“I stood about two poles [approximately 100 metres] away from where the men were being shot and killed. I couldn’t quite hear what they were asking the boys, but I saw one boy trying to answer a question. He immediately raised his hands, but the soldiers opened fire…He lay down, lifeless. I saw this myself.”

The witness described how military officers loaded men with gunshot wounds into one van, and what appeared to be corpses into another.

Later that morning, another witness described how police shot a child bystander as a group of young men protested the shootings, blocking a road and burning tyres along the Eke-Nkpor junction.

He told Amnesty International: “I heard a police siren and everybody started running helter-skelter. I ran away with other people, but before we left, the police fired tear gas at us and shot a boy in my presence. He was just hawking in the street. He wasn’t even there to protest,” he said.

An Amnesty International researcher visited three hospitals in Onitsha and surrounding towns and saw 41 men being treated for gunshot wounds in the stomach, shoulder, leg, back and ankle. The researcher also visited mortuaries in Onitsha and saw five corpses with bullet wounds, all brought in by IPOB members on 30 May.

Amnesty International has been informed that many of those killed or injured are still held by the military and police. Several witnesses said that the military loaded corpses in their vehicles and took them to Onitsha military barracks. Amnesty International was not able to confirm this.

One witness told Amnesty International that around 30 people were held in the military barracks, while another witness said 23 people who were held in State Criminal Investigation Department were brought to court.

Following the shootings, the military told media sources that the soldiers only opened fire after being shot at first, but Amnesty International’s research has found no evidence to support this. All the people the organization interviewed said that the protesters were not armed; one young man said that he threw stones at the police and military after they shot teargas at the IPOB members. He said the military then fired live ammunition in return.

This is not the first time that IPOB supporters have died at the hands of the military. It is becoming a worrying pattern and this incident and others must be immediately investigated
MK Ibrahim

Information gathered by Amnesty International indicates that the deaths of supporters and members of IPOB was the consequence of excessive, and unnecessary use of force.

International law requires the government to promptly investigate unlawful killings with a view to bringing the perpetrators to justice. Amnesty International is also calling for those IPOB supporters still held in detention without charge to be either immediately charged or released.

“This is not the first time that IPOB supporters have died at the hands of the military. It is becoming a worrying pattern and this incident and others must be immediately investigated,” said M. K. Ibrahim.

“In addition there must be an end to the pattern of increased militarization of crowd control operations as soldiers are frequently deployed to undertake routine policing functions.”

Background

Amnesty International interviewed 32 witnesses between 1-3 June in Onitsha and an additional five people on the phone.

The IPOB members had informed the Anambra State Police Commissioner of their plans for Biafra Remembrance day and requested for security to be provided for the procession.

Amnesty International has been conducting research into violence and killings of IPOB members and supporters in south east Nigeria since January 2016. A comprehensive report will be published in the near future.

The organization’s research shows that since August 2015, there have been at least five similar incidents in Onitsha alone where the police and military shot unarmed IPOB members and supporters. Amnesty International has documented cases of alleged unlawful killings by the Nigerian army between August 2015 and May 2016.

In August 2015, military officers opened fire on peaceful supporters of IPOB calling for an independent Biafran state. The killings and mass arrests of members and supporters of IPOB by a joint military and police operations continued in October, November and December 2015.

On 17 December 2015 for example, the military killed five people when they opened fire on members of the IPOB who were demonstrating in Onitsha in a celebration of a court order for the release of their purported leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

In February 2016, the Nigerian military used excessive force to disperse a peaceful gathering in a school compound in Aba. At least nine people were killed and many more injured.

The Nigerian government has not conducted any independent investigation into any of these incidents.

The right to peaceful assembly and association, as well as the right of freedom of expression, is protected by the Nigerian constitution. International human rights standards also require that law enforcement officials must, as far as possible, apply nonviolent means. The intentional lethal use of firearms is only permissible when strictly unavoidable in order to protect life.

Nairaland GeneralYou Lied, anioma Is Igbo &part Of Biafra,t/ruler Of Ukwuani Tells Gov. Okowa by FREEDOMLOVER(op): 7:40am On Jun 08, 2016
OUR RESPECTUL FATHER THE TRADITIONAL LEADER OF UKWUANI IN DELTA STATE, MAZI OKPALA UKWU EDUCATING ONE OF THE HAUSA-FULANI SERVANT IN OUR LAND:

You Lied, Anioma Is Igbo And Part Of Biafra, Traditional Ruler of Ukwuani Tells Gov. Okowa

It is said that those who do not know their history always pick any story about who they are and run with it.

The effect of the military intelligence and propaganda onslaught during the Nigeria versus Biafra war by the Nigerian federal troop against the people of Igbo extraction, who were viewed, though erroneously, as the sole ethnic group that make up Biafra, has not been completely eliminated.. This created enormous distortion of pyschology and conmittant erroneous distortion of history among Igbo speaking people within the ancient Biafran region.

Recently, the governor of Delta State Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa, was quoted of saying that Anioma, though they speak Igbo are not Igbo and so not part of Biafra. He warned the Biafran agitators to steer clear of his state, Delta.

Though, most or majority of Anioma people accept their Igbo ancestry, but so many ugly politics has been played since the war ended with the identity of Anioma or Ika people.

The best people to tell children who they are are indeed the elders, they are masters of history and custodians of tradtion and culture. So, who is the best person to tell it the way it is other than the traditional ruler of Ukwuani in Anioma?

The traditional ruler of Ukwuani in Anioma Local government of Delta state, Okpala Ukwu emphatically told the governor of Delta state that he lied about Anioma and their ancestry.

The aged traditional ruler seen here in the photo told the media that, the governor lied and said that Anioma people are Igbo and therefore part of Biafra.

But there is a saying that goes this way “those who where present during burial can tell where the head of the corpse lies”. Those who are custodians of tradition and masters of their history can veritably tell who they are and narrate their history.

Though many argued that Gov. Okowa has deep knowledge that Anioma is Igbo but he, as a sitting governor, cannot openly support those agitating for sovereign state. Some argued that the best thing was for him to remain mute about the agitation instead of making efforts to rewrite the history of Anioma people.

A great number of Anioma scholars both at home and in diaspora have been very emphatic about the Igbo ancestry of Anioma people. Though a small number of them have deep hatred traced to the wartime propaganda, which still eoches in some quarters till this day.

Though the words from the aged traditional ruler may reaffirm the stand of the majority of Anioma people, it will not douce the fire amongst those who do not want to be counted as Igbo and consequently Biafra.

#HITLERBUHARI WHERE IS YOUR SCHOOL CERTIFICATE: ITS CRIMINAL TO BREAK THE LAW SO #HITLERBUHARI IS A CRIMINAL:

WAEC Certificate Scam: Aso Rock Panics As Court Throws Out Buhari’s Application To Stop Case

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has dismissed the preliminary objections filed by President Muhammadu Buhari in the case filed against him challenging his competence to stand election into the office of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria when he lacks the basic educational qualifications set out in the constitution.

Justice Ademola Adeniyi on Thursday, May 26, 2016 dismissed the preliminary objections filed by President Muhammadu Buhari in the case instituted against him, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/110/2015 by an Abuja based Legal Practitioner, Barrister Nnamdi Nwokocha-Ahaaiwe.

This development was received with shock by the presidency as members of Buhari’s government had forgotten about the existence of the court case.

The Trent learnt that panic has hit Aso Rock as the court ruling took President Buhari and his aides by surprise. The source says that this ruling has posed a big distraction for government activities at the Presidential Villa.

“Nobody even knew the case was still on. The story was not even reported in the mainstream media. No paper carried the Thursday ruling. But I can tell you the Presidency is rattled and seriously hoping that the case does not resurface again in the public domain because of the huge embarrassment it could cause the President. But more importantly, there are concerns about the safety of the judge and the plaintiff,” a inside source disclosed to Signal, an online newspaper.

The Missing WAEC Certificate: A 2015 Campaign Issue

This case represents a weak spot for President Buhari as it challenges his eligibility to hold the office of the president. During the 2015 presidential campaigns it was discovered that Buhari failed to present his secondary school certificate INEC as required by law. Rather, the former military general submitted a sworn affidavit claiming that his academic credentials were with the Nigerian military.

RELATED: ‘We don’t have General Buhari’s original certificates,’ Nigerian Army Says (DETAILS)

The Nigerian Army issued a statement saying that it was not in possession of Buhari’s certificate or that of any other soldier. The institution explained that like any employer, it only sights credentials and returns them to the employee. Following intense pressure, the army later disclosed that Buhari never presented a secondary school certificate when joining the military, rather he presented a letter of recommendation from his school principal.

The, then ruling party, had called for Buhari to step down from the race following the scandal which appeared to end when Buhari, through Premium Times, presented a statement of result from his secondary school in Katsina showing that he obtained an F9 in mathematics. The rules of army require that a commissioned officer must earn a pass in mathematics before admittance.

The issue of Buhari’s lack of a WAEC certificate formed the basis for over 30 lawsuits around the country during the 2015 elections. After the elections, former President Goodluck Jonathan personally intervened in the cases, asking the plaintiffs to withdraw their suits in the interest of peace.

One Courageous Lawyer, 20 SANs, and One Year Later

Nnamdi Nwokocha-Ahaaiwe had in February 2015 filed an originating summons at the Federal High Court, Abuja asking the court to disqualify Buhari from contesting for the position of the president not having sat for the Secondary School Certificate and also deposing to a false affidavit about his educational qualifications contrary to the Electoral Act.

Buhari and the APC instead of entering a defence on the merits and exhibiting any educational certificates obtained by Buhari, tried to frustrate the hearing of the case by filing several objections to the competence of the action.

President Buhari reportedly retained over twenty SANs led by Chief Wole Olanipekun, Chief Akin Olujinmi, Femi Falana, etc., who for over one year now have failed to file any defence for Buhari or APC but instead used every trick in the book to delay the case.

But on Thursday, the Justice Ademola Adeniyi in his ruling on the case, dismissed all applications by the defendant as totally lacking in merit. He held that the suit filed by Nnamdi Nwokocha-Ahaaiwe was competent and the service on Buhari and APC was also competent.

He thereafter adjourned the case to the 16th day of June 2016 for hearing of the substantive originating Summons to determine whether Buhari’s educational qualifications meets the minimum standards required by the constitution.

According to reports, only the counsel to INEC was in Court, the plaintiff was absent but wrote to the court explaining that he received notice of the date for the ruling the previous night and was out of town and could not make it. APC (2nd Respondent) and Buhari (3rd Respondent) were absent, were not represented and did not write to court.

The WAEC Certificate Still Remains Elusive

During the 2015 campaigns, APC confessed that it cannot produce the WAEC certificate of its then presidential candidate, General Buhari.

It will be recalled that there were claims by online handlers of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that the Nigerian Army located President Buhari’s “missing certificate” after the elections.

RELATED: ‘We can’t produce our candidate’s certificate’ – APC Releases Statement On Buhari’s School Certificates

However, there is still no official statement by the Nigerian Army up till this day corroborating claims that the certificate has been found.

The new defence minister appointed by Buhari, Brigadier General (rtd) Monsur Dan-Ali, had derided the leadership of the army during the election period over the certificate saga saying they “did not show Buhari respect”, but still failed to produce the result. Human Rights groups have demanded that the defence minister produced the president’s WAEC certificate.

Nairaland GeneralBiafra Herald: The Significance Of The Biafra Flag Raised In Enugu Stadium. by FREEDOMLOVER(op): 3:17pm On May 22, 2016
BIAFRA HERALD: THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE BIAFRA FLAG RAISED IN ENUGU STADIUM.

On Friday, 20th of May 2016, in the packed 22,000 capacity Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, during the Oriental derby clash between the host, Enugu Rangers versus Heartland of Owerri, an euphoria was felt that has never been felt in any stadium in Biafra land. The excitement was not propelled neither by a goal or a dazzling show of skill by the football players, but by a honorable gesture by a Biafran football fan who stood up from his seat in the stadium and raised a Biafra flag. Encouraged by the loud ovation he received for his action, he was escorted by few Biafrans towards the tarmac, where he gallantry raised the Biafra Flag and began a lap of honour round the stadium amidst loud cheers and shouts. "All hail Biafra", "Biafra my country", "Biafra is here", "Biafra or Death" "Release Nnamdi Kanu", etc, rented the air and fireworks went on display. The players and match officials were startled but the match was not disrupted and went on peacefully and ended in a goalless draw.

The Nigeria brown envelope media purposely blanked out the report in their match reportage and updates, but the fact remains the incident was electronically recorded and it is on the Internet for everyone to watch.

The significance of what has happened in the Enugu stadium is a testament, of the awakening of Biafrans by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and they are determined to continue to strive for the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra. The over 20,000 football fans who celebrated the raising of the Biafra flag in the stadium are under the command and control of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB), and the Director of Radio Biafra/ Biafra Television. Nnamdi Kanu is still been unlawfully incarcerated even after two courts of competent jurisdiction has ordered for his unconditional release. President Muhammadu Buhari has sworn to jail Nnamdi Kanu, and he also said he will rather drown than for Biafra to be restored. In a previous article, I have told Buhari to seek the counsel of Oba Rilwan Akiolu of Lagos state, on the best lagoon to drown and I still stand by it.

This is a beginning of what will become a recurring incident in stadiums in Biafra land during any sporting events. Biafrans must not be intimidated because they are raising the flag of their nation, and not guns and deadly weapons like the Hausa/Fulani in the North. It should be recalled that on the 4th of May 2016, when Enyimba International Football Club of Aba on Wednesday beat hosts Kano Pillars FC 2-1 in a rescheduled Match Day 7 fixture in the 2015/2016 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). Immediately the referee blew his whistle signifying acceptance of the winning goal by Eze Otorogu of the Aba team, players and officials of Kano Pillars objected refusing to go on with the match. As the stalemate lasted, fans of Kano Pillars took over the entire pitch throwing missiles. Not even the intervention of the Nigerian Police Force who fired several cans of tear-gas could calm the frayed nerves as players, match officials and spectators scampered in various directions to safety. The team driver of Enyimba of Aba was severely injured while trying to escape the rampaging Hausa/Fulani hooligans.

Biafrans in Enugu stadium has shown passion for the struggle inhibited in every true Biafran, already the discussion of Biafra is on the lips of everyone including Buhari. Shops are been painted with Biafra flag colours, Biafra flag is flying in most homes in Biafraland, vehicles proudly display Biafra insignia, it is now a pride to be called a Biafran. The Biafra Heroes Remembrance Day on May 30th, will be a showcase of the resoluteness of true Biafrans. The 50th anniversary of the genocide on our people shall be a solemn reflection on those murdered during the Biafra Genocide of 1967-1970 and those murdered by the Nigeria Islamic armed forces for protesting peacefully. Our freedom is at hand and we must remain resolute. Biafra is an ideology, nobody can defeat her.

Nairaland GeneralChekwas Okorie The Latest Greatest Saboteur Of Biafra Restoration by FREEDOMLOVER(op): 2:35pm On May 22, 2016
CHEKWAS OKORIE THE LATEST GREATEST SABOTEUR OF BIAFRA RESTORATION :

BIAFRA HERALD: IPOB Press Release!!! BIAFRA CAN BE ACHIEVED WITH CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE AND DIRECT ACTION

May 22, 2016
Press Release

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) can categorically and experientially conclude that Biafra can be achieved by civil disobedience and direction action contrary to statements made by some saboteurs and Hausa-Fulani slaves from Igbo-speaking area of Biafraland.

That Barack Obama is the president of the USA today is directly attributable to the civil disobedience of the days of Malcom-X and Martin Luther King Jr. For 27 years, the blacks in South Africa never stopped carrying out civil disobedience until Nelson Mandela was released from prison. The Arab Spring started with civil disobedience and the outcome is there for all to see.

It is therefore preposterous and smirks of political illiteracy for some compromised people to make mockery of the well-organized and peaceful civil disobedience by IPOB that has the twin objectives of pressurizing government to release their illegally detained leader and for the restoration of the nation of Biafra.

One of these saboteurs and political neophytes cum Hausa-Fulani slaves is a man called Chekwas Okorie.
Chekwas Okorie has now distinguished himself as the latest and greatest saboteur of the restoration of the nation of Biafra. Chekwas Okorie is from Alayi-Bende in Abia state and he is the son of Late Chief Edward Okorie (a.k.a. Okorie Emeri) who was a fine gentleman but unfortunately gave birth to one of the greatest saboteurs of our time.
Retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari wanted to have a negotiation meeting with the objective of finding a way out of the impasse occasioned by widespread demonstrations by the Indigenous People of Biafra. The IPOB leader nominated Chekwas Okorie to go and meet with Buhari on the assumption that Chekwas Okorie is a man of integrity and a Biafran to the core. Chekwas Okorie met with Buhari twice but never came back to Nnamdi Kanu to debrief him. Instead, Chekwas Okorie used the opportunity of meeting Buhari to cut personal deals for himself. Chekwas Okorie should return all the money he collected from Buhari.

To cover up his track, Chekwas Okorie granted interview to Vanguard Newspaper reporter, Francis Igata, where he displayed his crass ignorance of Nigerian politics as well as mocked the victims of Buhari’s genocidal killings in Biafraland. By making mockery of those while praying inside the football field of a secondary school were gunned down by Buhari’s killer squads, Chekwas Okorie has insulted the memory of the dead Biafrans including those who died in the war of genocide of 1967—1970. By mocking the dead bodies of innocent Biafrans such as Miss Nkiruka Ikeanyionwu, Chekwas Okorie will never be forgiven by Biafrans and all lovers of freedom.

From his conducts and recent utterances, and just like his fellow sexually confused Igbo politicians who prostitute themselves to Hausa-Fulani men in return for political favours, Chekwas Okorie is a clear and present danger to the Biafra restoration process. He has now joined the hall of infamy of Biafran saboteurs along with such names as Rochas Okorocha, Sylvester Ude a.k.a. Debe Ojukwu, Dozie Ikedife, Gary Enwo-Igariwe, Monday Ubani, Joe (Judas) Igbokwe, and all members and officials of Ohanaeze Ndi-Oshi na Ndi-Ama otherwise known as Ohanaeze Ndigbo.

Even his postulated political tactics and strategy is replete with ignorance and idiocy. Perhaps, Chekwas Okorie needs to be reminded that a part of the the Nigerian electoral law requires 25% votes to be captured in two-third of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for someone to be declared the winner of a presidential election. Maybe he doesn’t know that Nigeria has a winner-takes-it-all political environment and that if you don’t have the presidency, you are not going to make any impact. So how does he think that an Igbo party which covers only five states will achieve this electoral victory requirement?

It was politically naïve people like Chekwas Okorie that ill-advised Dim Odimegwu Ojukwu to join Hausa-Fulani party (NPN) which led to his humiliating defeat in 1983.

From 1970 till date, Igbo politicians have consistently betrayed those from Igbo-speaking areas of Biafraland and have been in the forefront of frustrating the quest for the restoration of the nation of Biafra.

Biafrans are therefore, placing Igbo politicians on notice that we will no longer tolerate the sell-out of our people on the platter of the disgusting lucre from the decrepit Nigerian politics. Enough is enough to these Igbo saboteurs who see Biafra and IPOB as a means of personal aggrandizements and cutting of deals with the Hausa-Fulani oligarchy. The monetization of Igbos in Nigerian politics must come to an end.

Under the stewardship of political contractors like Chekwas Okorie, they presided over the balkanization of Igboland such that a part of Ika called Igbanke was carved into Edo state. Even Egbema land was divided into two with a part in Imo state and the other part in Rivers state fondly known as part of the unconstitutional South-South and as a result of this, the former IGP of Police Mike Okiro is today regarded as someone from South-South.

These Igbo political jobbers and lameducks have not made any conscious efforts to even unite the Igbo-speaking areas of Biafraland. If not for IPOB under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu, most Biafrans would not have known that Idoma and Igala lands are part of Biafra.

Igbo politicians like Chekwas Okorie suffer from the three diseases of a typical Igbo man which are greed, envy and jealousy. Hence their envy against the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, over his monumental and exceptional achievements and charismatic cum servant leadership qualities.

For Chekwas Okorie, he has met his denouement and at the appropriate time, he shall be called to account for his mockery of the dead Biafran heroes. Chekwas Okorie has betrayed the trust and confidence reposed in him by the leader of IPOB and he will never be forgiven.
Chekwas Okorie will soon find out that it does not pay to be a Biafran saboteur.

Nairaland GeneralBiafra: Press Release - Biafra Is Not About The Igbos Alone 19 May 2016 by FREEDOMLOVER(op):
BIAFRA: PRESS RELEASE - BIAFRA IS NOT ABOUT THE IGBOS ALONE

19 May, 2016

The nation of Biafra or Biafra land is beyond the areas occupied by the Igbo-speaking people of Biafra. For the avoidance of doubt, Biafra spans from Itsekiriland on the western boundary with Oduduwa to Bakassi on the eastern boundary with the Cameroons. Biafra also stretched from Idoma and Igala lands on the northern boundary with Arewa or Northern Nigeria to the Bight of Biafra which is south of the beautiful island of Bonny. In the present-day contraption called Nigeria, the nation of Biafra consists of the following states: Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, and Rivers. Biafra also includes Igbanke in Edo state, Igala in Kogi state, and Idoma in Benue state.

The footprints of Biafra listed above show that this great nation is not populated by only the Igbo-speaking people. It is also important to note that the last head of state and commander-in-chief of Biafra was not from the Igbo-speaking area of Biafra land. During the war of genocide levied on Biafra by Nigeria and Britain, there were brave Biafran soldiers, field commanders, scientists, civil servants, technocrats, musicians/artists, and astute journalists/broadcasters who were not from Igbo-speaking areas of Biafra land.

Biafra is a nation where different languages are spoken but irrespective of the varying languages, the people have a common value system, four market days, and a unique traditional clothing (two-piece wrapper) for every Biafran woman. It is instructive to note that Igbo is just one of the languages in Biafra land. Even the Igbo language has different dialects as someone travels from one community to the other or from one state to another state.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is using this press release to warn some people who speak or write out of ignorance on the history and geography of the nation of Biafra. Recently, some self-serving individuals and moribund groups have pigeon-holed Biafra into Igbo. They interchange and juxtapose Biafra and Igbo as if both are synonyms. The restoration of the nation of Biafra is not an exclusively Igbo cause but involves all the rest of the clans in Biafra. Therefore, it is misleading for any misguided relevance-seeking individual or group to seek to restrict Biafra to an Igbo affair through their mischievous newspaper interviews.

We caution and advice newspaper proprietors and editors to obtain clarifications from the Directorate of State of IPOB headquartered in Vitoria-Spain before going to press because many desperate individuals are seeking to popularize their activities by using the hallowed name of IPOB and misinforming the public with lies and subterfuge. These individuals who are sponsored by the murderous Nigerian government of Retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari and acting out the script written by corrupt Igbo politicians should refrain from this unsavory act.

Biafra is not about the Igbos alone but Biafra is a blessed nation of people with common value system. The public must ignore and stay away from anyone or group that equates Biafra with Igbo. The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is not for only Igbo-speaking people and will never be for only Igbo-speaking people.
Not all Biafrans are Igbos!!!

AFP Correspondent @AFPblogs : DISCONTENT IN "BIAFRA LAND" by Stephanie Findlay @SJFindlay

This article below by Agence France-Presse is an expository account of ugly situation in our land that calls for urgent attention for Biafra to be restore now to stop the planned extinction of Biafran people and entire people squeezed in that white-man cage called Nigeria.

I could recall vividly sometime last year before our leader was kidnapped by HitlerBuhari terrorist government he said that definitely the world major media will talk and write about us. That was the time most Nigeria media was blanketing news about IPOB activities but today no Nigeria media or bloggers can go a day without mentioning Biafra or IPOB in her page.
This is a clear evidence to prove our leader statement right and sign that Biafra restoration is so near and imminent demise of the zoo called Nigeria.

============================================

The news...Port Harcourt, Nigeria -- Minutes after touching down in Port Harcourt, I could feel the paranoia setting in.

I'd come to the city in Nigeria's south to travel to "Biafra land" in the southeast, which declared independence from the rest of the country in 1967, sparking a brutal civil war that lasted until 1970.
nigeria-unrest-socialRefugees flee during the "Biafra War," January, 1970.

Discontent with the federal government has never been far from the surface in the region and over the last few months has increased, after the leader of a hardline pro-Biafra group, Nnamdi Kanu, was arrested and put on trial in the capital, Abuja.

Kanu, of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) group was arrested in October on charges of "treasonable felony" and Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has described him as committing "atrocities" against the state.

I've covered his trial for months from Lagos, the commercial hub in the southwest where Kanu is written off as a radical heretic with a dangerous agenda that will result in another civil war.

In the rare times there is news on his case, it's brief.

Support heartland

I wanted to see what the situation was like on the ground in the heartland of his support, in "Biafra land" itself.

Last month IPOB, which generally only communicates in wordy press releases and through pro-Biafran newspapers in the southeast, agreed to talk to AFP so my photographer colleague Stefan Heunis and I set off for Port Harcourt.

The strategic city -- the hub of Nigeria's oil and gas industry -- was part of the independent Republic of Biafra in the 1960s until it was recaptured by the army in 1968.

Unlike in Abuja and Lagos, news of Kanu's trial dominates the front pages of newspapers and radio airwaves here and pro-Biafra graffiti and posters are commonplace on the streets.

In the wider southeast, Kanu's IPOB group seems to enjoy VIP status.

It operates with martial discipline, has chapters in many southeast states and uses code names.

With Kanu behind bars, IPOB is suspicious of strangers, fearing they are agents of the federal government.

The suspicious atmosphere is aggravated by long-standing ethnic animosities in a country that before colonial rule was a multitude of kingdoms and tribal states and today is home to some 500 ethnic groups, with Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo the three largest.

The ethnic divisions are being aggravated in a worsening economic climate caused by the fall in global oil prices, which has drastically cut government revenues from exports.

Ethnic tensions escalate

Ijaws from the south who want a fairer share of oil revenue have started to attack pipelines and facilities again, threatening the Yoruba in the southwest where many oil companies have their bases.

The mostly Kanuri fighters of the Islamist group Boko Haram have attacked the Hausa - and everybody else -- in the northeast in their quest for a hardline Islamic state.

And nomadic Fulani cattle herders have stepped up attacks against farmers, mostly in the religiously mixed central states.

In the southeast, where the Igbo people dominate, IPOB alleges it is being purposefully sidelined by the others. Many claim the region and its people have been "punished" for what happened in the 1960s.

We got a taste of this chronic paranoia firsthand. Before coming to Port Harcourt, we had arranged for a driver, who happened to be Yoruba.

"It's for your own safety"

Apparently this was a big mistake -- IPOB's chief of security advises me to get rid of the Yoruba driver in case he's a spy for the federal government. It's "for your own safety," he said, assigning us a new Igbo driver and an IPOB bodyguard.

The chief of security, wearing a Fossil watch and caramel-coloured crocodile leather shoes, explained why he can't trust Yoruba, Hausa or Fulani people.

"They don't understand our struggle," he said.

We drove from Port Harcourt to Aba, an expressway through verdant countryside with frequent military and police checkpoints -- nearly as many as in the Boko Haram-ravaged northeast, Stefan remarked.

We met with many people who said they were injured by security forces during peaceful protests. Some had amputated legs, one man had lost an eye.

They showed us bullet wounds and told us that during three separate protests Nigerian security forces shot "indiscriminately" into the crowd. They said the Nigerian army dumped dead protesters into mass graves.

Others described the hazards of life as a pro-Biafra supporter. They said friends and family just disappeared if police found them with a red, black and green Biafra flag, or pro-Biafra photos on their cellphones and that random street skirmishes with Nigerian security forces were common.

Little, if any, of this news gets reported in the daily papers that I read in Lagos.

Like Boko Haram in the north, it's difficult to report on IPOB and the pro-Biafra movement. There are many versions of events. Without being there when it happens, it's next to impossible knowing whose version to trust.

IPOB, which claims it is a peaceful movement, has been described by prosecutors as a terrorist organisation, with Kanu allegedly sourcing arms to "levy war against Nigeria" and telling Radio Biafra listeners to "burn down as many police stations as possible" and "kill" policemen and military personnel.

Our new driver certainly had a cavalier attitude towards police. At several checkpoints, he hung out the window of his luxury Lexus SUV and shouted Kanu's trademark phrase "the zoo must fall" -- the "zoo" being Nigeria.

But surprisingly, instead of getting arrested, police officers broke into smiles and shouted "God bless you!"

Another young police officer leaned into the car to say "Do you know we are suffering? We are scapegoats."

On the way back from Aba our driver started blasting Rod Stewart's "Rhythm Of My Heart", turned on the hazard lights and started driving into oncoming traffic to beat the rush, a privilege usually reserved for Nigeria's "big men" -- top politicians, army heads of staff and oil executives.

The ride was as exhilirating as a rollercoaster -- and made me just as nauseous, too. I started praying for a cop to pull us over and tell us to get back on the right side of the road. Unfortunately my prayers weren't asnwered, but I was very grateful when we arrived at the hotel.

The next leg of the journey took us north to Nsukka, the bucolic university town with manicured lawns immortalised in Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's "Half of a Yellow Sun" as the home of a revolutionary academic who fights for Biafran independence.

We passed by ancient trucks reborn in hallucinogenic shades of orange, pink and green and painted in biblical scenes with Byzantine formality. Jesus was always white, so was Mary, and Samson wrestling the lion too.

For every gas station there was a church, their names serving as proclamation of their militant dedication. First came Violent Faith Church International, then Jesus Army Assembly and the Global Liberation Prophetic Church.

IPOB members are devout people. In their "gospel of the restoration of Biafra" they describe Biafrans as the Israelites of West Africa and demand independence from Nigeria and total control of the vast riches in the region, including oil, which they say have been unfairly syphoned off by leaders from the north and southwest since Nigeria gained independence in 1960.

God is everywhere

So important are God and gas in the southeast that they often appear together in the myriads of independently-owned petrol stations dotting the roads. 'Pinnacle Gas Station' and 'Good God Petroleum' were just two of the more pious distributors.

The Biafran War may have ended in 1970, but people in the southeast still have the same grievances, which have been jolted awake by the renewed tensions and violence in the region.

In Nimbo, an Igbo farming community outside Nsukka, villagers said they were attacked by Fulani herdsmen, nomadic cattle rearers who usually don't venture so far south.

At first glance it was hard to imagine violence in such a beautiful place, where the copper red soil produces flawless canary-yellow bananas and juicy mangos with a scent so fragrant it could be worn as perfume.

The illusion was brief. Men were in the hospital with deep gashes in their skulls, shattered jaws, arms and legs -- all a result of machete attacks. I stared too long at the Frankenstein stitiches. Had the machete hit just millimetres lower, some of them would have been dead.

The farmers thrust photos of their dead relatives into my hands, saying they had no protection from the government and that a separate state is the only answer to their troubles.

You could feel the fear. The village was deserted. People had closed shop and moved to safety. They didn't believe that anyone would protect them from another Fulani herdsmen attack.

In certain respects, the Biafran dream is a modest one: a state with constant electricity, good roads, freedom from violence, and more jobs.

IPOB has tapped into that frustration at a time when life in Nigeria is getting harder as a result of the record low price of oil, the country's main source of income.

'Biafra is at hand'

Now with charismatic Kanu behind bars -- a populist martyr in the making -- independence is increasingly being presented as the only course of action in the face of perceived bias against the Igbos.

It is a struggle that, at the very least, has many sympathisers in the southeast.

Flying out, I looked through the airport bookstand, where the young shopkeeper was reading "Half of a Yellow Sun". She was selling textbooks on Biafran military strategy and three different titles of pro-Biafra newspapers.

The Freedom Journal said 'Second Biafra Genocide Commence!' Beside it, the Message had a photo of Kanu going handcuffed into court, with the headline "I won't die, be steadfast, Biafra is at hand."

THE FRAUDSTER CALLED #HITLERBUHARI FURTHER EXPOSED:

£860 million fraud: Buhari finally surrender

Controversies have begun to trail the accusations that President Muhammadu Buhari, misappropriated and diverted £860 million Britain’s aid given to him to fight insurgency, aside the $2.1 billion provided by the United States.

Post-Nigeria on Wednesday, April 13, quoted a United Kingdom newspaper ‘TheTelegraph’, where it reported that the President misappropriated and diverted foreign aid meant to fight insurgency.

Related: Buhari accused of diverting £860 million UK aid

Reacting to the report, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, in a statement released yesterday condemned the report, but did not deny the said amount as quoted to have been diverted by the President.

Part of his statement reads: “Our attention has been drawn to a piece published in your paper, by one Con Coughlin, identified as your Defence Editor, and titled, ‘Nigeria using UK aid to persecute president’s political foes rather to fight Boko Haram.’

“The piece is not only full of factual inaccuracies, it also betrays a shocking level of ignorance of Nigeria and the country’s ongoing war against terrorism.

“Mr Coughlin’s editorial tactic is to quote unnamed “senior officials” and “Western diplomats” and “Western officials” and “political opponents” making fact-free and unfounded statements. It also appears that he sought out only those opinions which suited and reinforced his disgracefully false headline. Nowhere in the piece is there anything that suggests he attempted to contact the Nigerian government for its own side of the story.

“Coughlin writes that ‘American officials are also angry that $2.1 billion of aid given to the Nigerian military to tackle Boko Haram has not been properly accounted for’.

“It does not occur to him that the $2.1 billion he refers to was budgeted for and wholly spent by the government that President Buhari and his party defeated in the March 2015 presidential elections, and that one of President Buhari’s priorities has been investigating the misuse of those funds.

“It also does not appear to occur to Mr. Coughlin that the “political opponents” he is falsely accusing President Buhari of “targeting” and “persecuting” are actually on trial on account of how they spent the $2.1 billion in question.

“Mr. Coughlin is equally unaware of the fact that the investigating panel set up by Mr. Buhari to probe the $2.1 billion recently published a preliminary report that confirmed that much of that money was indeed looted or mis-spent by the accused persons, and that the government has started to recover the funds”, Garba Shehu said.

Is Nigerian leader's pal 'fantastically corrupt'? Friend of African president accused of stealing £500million

Muhammadu Buhari seen by some as leading the battle against corruption
But worrying allegations swirl around one of Nigerian leader's close allies
Rotimi Amaechi accused of misappropriating £338m commission probing sale of state assets
Also accused of diverting £140m of state funds into Buhari’s presidential campaign

When David Cameron was caught on camera last week before an anti-corruption summit describing Nigeria as ‘fantastically corrupt’, the African state’s president rallied to the Prime Minister’s defence by agreeing with him.

But although Muhammadu Buhari is seen by some as leading the battle against corruption, worrying allegations swirl around one of his close allies.

Rotimi Amaechi, who travelled with the president to the summit, is Nigeria’s transport minister and is said to have bankrolled Buhari’s presidential campaign.

In the Nigerian press he has been dubbed ‘ATM’ – the American term for cash machine – because of his ability to produce vast sums of money at short notice.

He remains in his post despite being accused of misappropriating £338million by a commission investigating the sale of state assets.

Some of that money is likely to have come from UK taxpayers, who gave the country £1billion in aid over five years to 2014, including £248million in 2014 alone.

Separately, Amaechi is accused of diverting £140million of state funds into Buhari’s presidential campaign, with reports he paid for media, consultants and private jets.

The allegations come as the president stands accused of enjoying a lavish lifestyle while many millions suffer in poverty.

A leaked draft budget for 2016 showed the Nigerian government earmarked £16million for the refurbishment and maintenance of the president’s official residence, Aso Rock Guest House, in the capital Abuja.

There was also a request for £13million for building a VIP wing at a hospital used by families of the president and his ministerial team.

Mr Amaechi has denied the allegations against him.

#HITLERBUHARI MUST LISTEN TO THE WARNING OF THE WISE IF NOT HIS PRIDE AND ARROGANT WILL BRING DEVASTATING DOOM UPON NIZOORIA:

Southern leaders to Buhari: Release Nnamdi Kanu, listen to IPOB

Leaders of Southern Nigeria, under the auspices of Southern Nigeria Peoples Assembly (SNPA) has implored President Muhammadu Buhari to respect the rule of law and order the immediate release of those in detention, including Radio Biafra Director, Nnamdi Kanu, in compliance with pronouncements of courts of competent jurisdiction.

The leaders also said that in order for the principles of separation of powers to be applied to advance democracy, the Indigenous People of Biafra ( IPOB) and similar non-violent bodies should be treated fairly and given opportunity if hearing.

SNPA made these pronouncements in Asaba during its meeting which held at Best Western Elemaz Hotel.

The meeting, attended by the State Governor (represented), was chaired by former Vice President of Nigeria, Dr Alex Ekwueme, who was also represented by a former governor of Anambra State, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife.

Other leaders who were at the meeting include co-chair and leader of South-South, Senator Rowland Owie, Bishop Emmanuel Gbonigi, co-chair and leader of the South West, represented by Senator Femi Okurounmu.

The SNPA, which deliberated on the security, socio-political and economic situations of the country, persistent killing of Nigerians by Fulanis, and issues bordering on establishment of grazing reserves in parts of the country.

In its first resolution, the group said: “We urge him(Buhari) to respect the rule of law, the protection of citizens fundamental human rights and the pronouncements of courts of competent jurisdiction. The president should note that the war on corruption should neither be vindictive nor selective.

“We call on President Buhari to ensure immediate release of all Nigerians which various courts have given bail and have subsequently met their bail conditions. IPOB and other similar non-violent bodies should be treated fairly and given opportunity to be heard.

“The president should commence the implementation of the resolutions of the 2014 National Conference to resolve the continuing contradictions in the Nigerian polity and to lay solid foundation for more just and equitable Nigerian society.”

The leaders also urged Northern elders to stop infusing the ‘we and they’ mentality in the present government ‘which usually create division and confusion in the polity’. “The Northern Elders Forum should realize that President Buhari is the president of Nigeria, and not just of northern Nigeria. The government is therefore for the entire Nigeria and programmes and projects should be for the overall development and growth of the country and not a section of it”.

On the increasing killings by Fulani cattle rearers, the leaders said that “the president should deal decisively the with the issue of Fulani herdsmen to avoid it snowballing into another Boko Haram. Consequently, he should commission a judicial panel of inquiry to investigate all Fulani attack since May 2015 and make the perpetrators face the wrath of the law”.

The group thanked Governor Ifeanyi Okowa who hosted them in the Delta State capital city.

NIGER- DELTA Avengers, Thursday, listed some oil blocs allegedly owned by former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Minister of Defence, General Theophilus Danjuma, ex-Minister of Petroleum, Alhaji Riwalnu Lukman, other Northerners and South-Westerners in Niger-Delta region and issued them a two-week ultimatum to shut them down operations and evacuate the workers from the locations or have them blown up.

The militant group, pressing for a sovereign state of the Niger Delta, in an electronic mail statement by its spokesperson, Col Mudoch Agbinibo, forwarded to Vanguard at 8.27 am, warned: “If at the end of the ultimatum and you still operating. We will blow up all the locations. It will be bloody. So, just shut down your operations and leave.”

The oil blocs listed are: “Apo Well awarded to Sapetro Oil owned by Gen Theophilus Y Danjuma. Apo field is capable of producing 300,000 barrels per day and crude reserve of 500 million barrels.

*Mike Adenuga’s Conoil controls and operates Six (6) oil blocs and exports about 500,000 barrels of crude oil daily. These 6 oil blocs are worth $500 billion dollars.

The group asserted: “From our analysis above, 90 per cent of oil blocs are allocated to individuals from northern Nigeria and some confused elements from the region are calling the Niger Delta Avengers names, some are calling us criminals.”

“Our question to these groups of individuals calling us names is: where were you when all these atrocities were happening to the people of the Niger Delta?

On the rumour that oil has been discovered in the North East it, Niger Delta Avengers said: “How will you feel if this found oil is been managed by Niger Deltans. We are very sure the Niger Deltans will not even have two per cent oil bloc if oil is really found in the Northeast. If you did not shut down, we will shut your stations permanently for you.”

On the strikes of the group, which have devastated oil and gas operations of major oil companies in the region and practically crippled crude oil production, it said: “From the high command of the Niger Delta Avengers, we congratulate all the strike teams of the Avengers. Without taking any innocent life or that of the Nigeria military, we were able to shut down 50 per cent of crude production.”

“We have been seeing a lot on the media about us. Some are asking, “Who are you avenging?” some calling us empty heads, ex-agitators have been condemning us on daily basis. Our criticizer from other part of the country, we do not have anything to tell you because you clearly do not know how life is in the region.

“To our criticizers from the region, we want you to know you are all cowards and afraid to stand for your people.

“To ex-agitators of the likes of Tompolo, We know why you people are after us. Our agitation is more civilized than yours, the Niger Delta Avengers is more concerned with people of Niger Delta unlike you (ex-agitations) that were into kidnapping, killing of Nigeria soldiers, sea piracy, vessel and tanker hijacking. However, we were able to carry out all our operations without killing a fly. We have sophisticated arms far better than what you use to have during your kidnapping days,” it asserted.

This is another devastating article against #HitlerBuhari published by UK news media @MailOnline detailing the hypocrisy of #HitlerBuhari and his WITCH-HUNT of opponents he foolishly called fighting corruption in Nizooria.

As he prepare to attend his master David Cameron's anti corruption summit this week in UK let's tell the world the devil behind this Self-proclaimed ‘People’s President’ #HitlerBuhari by making this news available for all to read.

The news....£250million given by Britain to the Nigerian president with five homes who sends his daughter to a £26,000-a-year English school

"Government giving nearly £250m in coming year to oil-rich Nigeria
Their president sends his daughter to a top school in England
Nigeria has the highest-paid government officials in the world"

The presence of Nigeria’s president at David Cameron’s anti-corruption summit this week may surprise many in his nation – which receives vast amounts of UK aid.

Self-proclaimed ‘People’s President’ Muhammadu Buhari began a war on corruption after taking power last year, but critics allege it is a political witch-hunt.

The Government is giving nearly £250million in the coming year to oil-rich Nigeria, whose president sends his daughter to a £26,000-a-year English school.

In April the opposition PDP party unearthed a ticket stub showing Hanan, 16, had flown first-class from London to Nigeria, despite her father’s ban on officials using premium travel.

And a Nigerian newspaper claimed Mr Buhari has spent £150,000 on educating his daughter Zahra, a Surrey University student.

The president is reported to have failed to give a full account of his worth, but even his partial admission included more than £1million in the bank, five houses and two plots of land.

Supporters say 49 arrests of members of the previous regime show the anti-corruption war is genuine, but opponents say it is politically driven.

Nigeria has the highest-paid government officials in the world but is one of the largest beneficiaries of UK foreign aid.

The president of its senate, Bukola Saraki, is due to face trial on corruption charges after it emerged he has a £6million London property in his wife’s name.

The Nigerian Embassy did not comment.

BIAFRA HERALD: MEET THE 5YEAR OLD GIRL BUTCHERED BY FULANI TERRORISTS IN ENUGU

As reactions and condemnations continue to trail the massacre of over 200 Biafrans in Ukpabi-Nimbo Enugu State, several bodies have continued to be discovered littered across the several communities in Nimbo as most parts of affected communities continues to be in desolate and deserted by the inhabitants.

Family Writers in investigations being carried out have stumbled on a heart-rending corpse of a Girl likely to be 5years of age according to our forensic experts from one of the affected communities. The innocent girl was found as her whole body slit through with matchet or anything of sort was completely in the pool of her own blood as she lay helplessly squeezed in cold blood with her already butchered face almost dipped inside the ground.

Family Writers are yet to confirm the identity of the copse as several inhabitants of the community have fled to neighboring communities for safety. This is even as several other amputated and wounded Biafrans in Nimbo Enugu State who survived the terrorist invasion have continued to undergo severe medical treatments.

Several Biafran groups and social-cultural organisations who condemned the terrorist acts of Fulani herdsmen in Nimbo Enugu State and other parts of Biafra land have since given the herdsmen terrorists not more than 14days ultimatum to vacate all Biafra territories or face the consequences of their actions.
