The deportation brouhala will always stand against Fashola. |
una never see anything. Peter obi is a criminal. He has tried in deceiving a lot dumb ndigbo though. Go to Anambra, nothing to show for 8 years, only propaganda. |
2003, 2007, 2011, 2015.......... 2019 AP, ANPP, CPC, APC, ? Why is Buhari preventing any opposition from fielding a formidable presidential candidate when he knows quite well he cannot win presidential election in Nigeria. I'm beginning to think this is all a set up. |
WIZGUY69:and can you mention the industries, businesses or institutions generating these funds in oshogbo and ibadan |
The real news is Lagos generated nothing less than 90% of that revenue wrongly attributed to the south west. Lagos shouldn't be classified as south west |
The Obiano/obi rift is on |
Mr Valentine Obienyem, the media aide to former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi, has disagreed with Sports Commissioner Tony Nnaecheta that the Willie Obiano administration inherited dilapidated sporting infrastructure. Obienyem said the commissioner was either misquoted or was unable to convey his thoughts properly and endangered the facts. The former aide said Obi was the only governor who ensured the even development of all sectors in Anambra State. He said: “By the time he became governor, no aspect of the state was working. In sports, Anambra State lay prostrate. But today, through the efforts of Mr. Obi, the state has three mini-stadia, namely: Justice Ikpeazu Stadium, Onitsha South Stadium and Awka Stadium. Obii rehabilitated the Ime Obi and Rojenny stadia at Onitsha and Oba. “He re-introduced school sports. From 15th position in 2011, Anambra came fifth in 2012 and third in National Schools’ Sports in 2013. It won gold medals in the male and female National Youths Sports Federation (YSFON) in 2012. This qualified Anambra to represent Nigeria at the World Youths Sports Federation in Oslo, Norway. In May 2013, Anambra funded the state’s footballers to the world’s pre-season tournament at Antalia, Turkey, where six Anambra athletes were selected for professional careers in Europe. “Obi initiated the first Governor’s Unity Cup and the first Traders’ Cup in 2013. He initiated the first disabled sports competition. Obi hosted the Flying Eagles twice and placed members of old Rangers (Football Club) on monthly stipends and provided buses for them, the Ministry of Sports, the Anambra State chapter of the Nigerian National Supporters’ Club and the National Youth Council. “Rather than acknowledge this and build on them – and even surpass them – Nnaecheta described the state of sporting facilities as shameful. When prominent persons in the state said they voted the present governor because of Obi’s achievements, what does the commissioner think they were saying?” Obienyem said the Justice Ikpeazu Stadium, which prompted the commissioner’s reaction, was built over seven years ago. According to him, continuity means amending, expanding or even shortening parts of the stadium, where necessary. The former aide noted such is the practice for development everywhere, not the “ill- motivated condemnation” that could be deduced from the commissioner’s words. He said: “I do not think the commissioner did a background study of his ministry before taking off; this is what good administrators do. If he did, he would have known that the Onitsha Local Government headquarters was knocked down and relocated for Obi to build the stadium under reference.” Obienyem regretted what he called “a misleading report by a commissioner,” adding it was bad that in the midst of many false stories on Anambra on the social media. “Is this not the case of seeing chaos rising and adding to it?” Obienyem queried. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/obis-aide-disagrees-with-nnacheta-over-anambra-sports/190703/ |
Bianca Ojukwu on Peter obi before his defection. "Asked whether she was aware of reports that former Anambra governor, Chief Peter Obi was defecting to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), she dismissed it, saying Obi had promised Ojukwu that he would always remain in APGA. According to her, the former governor had assured Ojukwu that he would remain to continue to build and sustain APGA as the pride of the Igbo. Obi, she said, could not afford to renege on his alleged promise, knowing well the role Ojukwu played to ensure he returned to Awka Government House for a second term." |
Finally the cunning and greedy politician has dumped the "igbo party" bequeathed to him by ojukwu and moved to PDP in search of political relevance. Good news is that there is currently no love lost between Obiano and Peter obi ![]() |
The Peter obi rot. |
A federal civil servant who came to Awka for a three day assignment said he only managed to stay in the city on his first night . “ I flew into Akanu Ibiam Airport Enugu on Sunday and spent the night in Enugu. On Monday morning , I chartered a cab from Enugu to Awka . After my assignment the first night , I booked into a hotel here. In the night , I wanted to go out only to come out and notice that the streets were dark . Could you imagine there were no streetlights? So, I returned to my room . I operated from Enugu for the remaining two days of my assignment ,” he said, visibly disappointed . Although new houses are springing up in Awka on daily basis , but the staccato manner the houses are scattered make people wonder if the capital city has a master plan or whether people were just given approval to build houses anyway they wanted. Apart from Udoka , Ngozika and AHOCOL Estates , the other developments in the area of housing seem not be coordinated . http://dailyindependentnig.com/2014/05/making-awka-befitting-capital/ |
Many people have also continued to wonder why sitting governors in Anambra operate from the temporary Governor ’s Lodge at Amawbia. A few months ago, when the South- East and South-South Governors came for a meeting at the Governor’ s Lodge Awka , one of the governors told his aide that he thought the lodge belonged to a local government chairman. This prevailing situation has negatively impacted on the socio- economic life of the Anambra capital city. Hospitality is among the industries suffering because of the state of the capital city. Daily Independent investigations revealed that most luxurious hotels in Awka still find it hard to break even as visitors prefer to do whatever they want in the afternoon and dash back to Enugu to spend the night . |
Most of these Anambra politicians including the acclaimed godfathers own palatial mansions in Enugu and yet cannot even boast of a bungalow in Awka . After more than two decades of existence , Awka can only boast of a pedestrian bridge, whereas Uyo, which gained became a state capital the same time, has many flyovers, an airport and an international Conference Centre . Quite unimaginable is that Awka still lacks a befitting Government House . After more than two decades , government business is still being run from the temporary Government House, which the Anambra State inherited from a construction company. Shortly, before leaving office last March , the Peter Obi administration awarded the contract for a new Government House . Obi whose administration built a judicial complex and state secretariat assured that his administration had already saved the money for execution of the project. Skeptics however continue to wonder why he chose to award that contract for the Government House at the twilight of his administration . |
Somebody who has been to other state capitals would visibly be disappointed on visiting Awka , the Anambra State capital . Twenty- three years after it became a capital city, Awka remains a shadow of a state capital , lacking in the attractions usually associated with a city enjoying such a nomenclature . Unlike other sister capital cities in the South -East like Enugu and Owerri , Awka remains a glorified village. To worsen the situation, successive governments in the state , including the immediate past administration visibly did nothing to improve the status of the Anambra State capital . This explains why 23 years after it became the Anambra capital , many civil servants in the state still prefer to come to work in Awka from Enugu , which used to be the capital of old Anambra State until Enugu State was created by General Ibrahim Babangida military administration in 1991 . Some civil servants who cannot cope with the rigours of operating from Enugu even prefer to operate from their villages, see nothing different between the villages and the capital city. The story is the same for the political class in Anambra State including commissioners and other state government appointees, federal and state lawmakers, ministers and other top government functionaries. |
VICTORCIZA: Useless threadyou this eddioott seeking attention. what can you do about it? lol |
@DonDiego when will you hired elements spare us of your propaganda. Fyi kidnapping was at an all time high in Anambra during Obi's tenure and obi didn't continue Anambra's excellence in Waec, it has always been there before him and will continue after him. check the records. lets not talk about substandard roads which are being reawarded currently. It doesn't have to take a Carmel to pass through the eyes of a needle for everyone to see visible developments. We are tired of these your beating about the bush when you could just mention tangible projects and reforms completed by obi in 8 years. Obviously you have nothing worthwhile to say. It is a confirmation that obi wasted 8 years. |
Lol, hired? Kill myself over Okwute? Like I said, you know nothing about what he did. [s]Get facts straight before you start bashing. He surpassed any governor before him, Willie won't come close to what he did. [/s]
The bold is how you peter obi sycophants evade questions asking for any tangible thing obi did in 8 years. I guess the only people that know anything about what obi did are sycophants like you. Look development cannot be hidden. It is very visible to the eyes. Tell us what obi did. Obiano has even surpassed his '2 tenure achievements' in 6 months in case you dont know |
Peter Obi didn't perform? I bet you don't live in Anambra Obiano is just continuing what the man had been doing during his tenure. No new project has Willie flagged off. Some people Eh.
These hired Peter obi minions everywhere. if I ask you now to state in clear terms what obi did in 8 years, you will start beating about the bush with the familiar Peter obi propaganda. Obiano has not flagged off any new project? How about the 2 flyovers in Awka? ogbunike cave, roads etc? |
