3. If the Helio P35 was so good, why didn't Tecno use it in the Camon 17 and 18 premier?

Mediatek is what I'm talking about. Stop talking plenty sir. Are you saying Xiaomi and Samsung phones aren't using these processors? And we are not talking about old phones. We are talking about recent devices. No one is talking about P or A. So stop missing the point.

Even the tecno you guys use here is different from the ones made for the Indian market. The day you will touch one of those made for Indians you will believe say transsion dey knack una 2 by 4 on a daily. I was opportuned to handle a Camon i7 from India and then and there I concluded that Nigeria is truly a dumping ground. I am a gsm technician and when I see a solid phone I know. The double standard is glaringly obvious. Samsung does that too but it takes an experienced eye to tell the difference between made for US and made for Africa.

May be true, maybe false but one thing is certain you cannot even compare things made in or for the country to those made everywhere else. Is the taste of the Coca-Cola the same? Have you seen Nescafé and compare it with those made abroad?

I understand what you're trying to explain. However, how do you bask in the past glory of a so-out-of-game company and compare it to a fully operational one, with a larger-than-life African markets penetration?

Let's leave Africa out of this now; a crazy number of Indians and other Asian countries use Transsion devices.

What about the middle East?

How can a company that makes the phones you'll find in the hands of about 60% Africans and these other places, judging by the population of these people, be compared with a failed one that has been out of business for years now?

This is just like comparing our old, dead Savannah Bank to the current worst performing bank in Nigeria.

nobody is pushing anything aside. What did you address? We are still talking about mediatek chipsets. Is it not on this same place you people were saying that the processors are bad or cheap? Samsung and Xiaomi are using the same processors and all of a sudden no more noise. We should be able to talk with facts and not with the sides of our mouths.

I can't speak for others but I remember buying both the Tecno L9+ and the Tecno Pouvoir 2 in 2017 and 2018 respectively. They were both advertised as Midrange phones and I fully trusted the company and the advert. I didn't do any research.

What I found out was that Tecno used Mediatek 6580A on the L9+ and 6737 on the Pouvoir 2. These two were entry level processor that were weak and lagged.

They didn't stop there. They continued using weak SoCs like the Helio A22, P22, A25 and P35 on phones that were very costly. These are the Mediatek SoCs that people complained about. Myself included.

There was Mediatek Helio P60, P65, P70, P90 and P95. All of which were very good but Tecno did not use them. This was why I criticized them.

Now they have improved from using P22 to using G80, G85, G88, G95 and G96.

No one said Mediatek was bad. Don't twist the message. At least people buying Tecno won't spend their money buying rubbish. The way I did four years ago.
