Hi, a friend applied in Lagos on the 30th of August and she is still waiting on her visa. I don't know why the whole process seems to be taking longer than the 2 weeks mine took.
You can try calling the embassy to ask why.

has your friend got her passport/visa yet ? I'd appreciate if you let us know when if yes.

good evening guys . i stil havent heard from the embassy since aug 31st. when tracking my application, the response is still under-processing . and same person who we submitted togeda has gotten his visa. i called the embassy ,same response was given. i am getting really worried now. anyone with idea of how i can go about it. i would appreciate. thanks

its now 21 days and 13working days since I submitted and no words from VFS, thought they said it should be between 6 and 10 working days for this process. please anyone who has received theirs this month should let us know, @pendragon1 @iambiola @frekey anyone heard from VFS this month?

I submitted on the 31st of last month. It's still under assessment at the high commission in Lagos for over 3 weeks now. It was a study permit I applied for.
This could be depressing at times. But I stlll have hope.

How long does a study permit take to be processed in the South African high commission in Lagos. And who had or has applied for a study permit lately? I'd want to share with you.
