Good Evening Everyone,

Freshestng:
Hello Everyone,

Quick one please. Who has recently driven to Abuja from Lagos in the past 1 - 2 months?

Last time I drove same route was about 10 years ago, and I’m about to embark on same journey shortly.

I’ll need heads-up on the best and safest route, and basically any useful information, please.

Thanks a lot.

Bolt and Indrive are just testing drivers breaking point trying to find out how low they can go before we say "enough is enough".
How can fares drop to pre-covid era and u guys are still rushing the trips.
I am seeing 3k Berger to GRA
4k GRA to Lagos Island and 5k to VI.
This is unbelievable. When I think it cannot be lower, d next week they reduce it further and drivers are still diving the trips.
What is happening? am I missing something??
You’re not missing anything. It’s the drivers that keep accepting these ridiculous fares that are enabling them. Funny stuff is, majority in these riders are stupidly entitled.

I rather drive empty than to pick someone with ridiculous fares. If you pick, you have encouraged the rider that cheaper fares are possible and the next time he or she orders, they will always go to the cheapest option.

I did a rider one strong thing. She requested on Indrive to Chevron Drive from Surulere for ₦6,000. I picked and told her to wait oo, that I’m coming, while I was just parked doing something else, with the intention of wasting her time. After so much call, I texted her to not to be angry, that I’m still on my way. She called and called. I didn’t pick and I texted her again, this time letting her know how terrible she was by setting that fare, I also told her anyone who picks her request will also delay it till she puts the right amount.

I cancelled the ride only for time to see her increase the fare by ₦2,000. I didn’t pick, just laughed. Someone else picked. I felt so good doing it, and I still do it til today.

PS: she responds by calling me a madman, and threatened to report me. I told her I reported her already. Make she go ahead.

Hello everyone,

I’m planning to drive from Lagos to Abuja sometime next week and would appreciate recent updates on the best routes, road conditions, and security tips, especially from anyone who has driven the route recently.

I’ll also be speaking with interstate drivers, but any helpful info here would be great. Thanks!

Good morning all, I recently moved to Lagos for a new job, having been here for a year I am planning on going back to Abuja for Easter, not really a fan of public buses and due to the surge in traveling, Flight rates are astronomical for me and my fiancé, so driving would be my surest, most convenient and cheapest alternative.

I have gone through previous travel threads but they all seem outdated so I’m looking for an update.

I plan on leaving Thursday morning 5am, Im driving 2012 Honda Accord coupe. My questions would be:

1. First time driving such long distance, is it advisable? I’m not such a tough chap but I’m sure I can manage

2. How safe is the trip? With the kidnapping trend going on.

3. How much would it cost me to fuel? Car is a 4 cylinder without a cat (catalytic converter)

4. How rough will it be on the car? Car is less than 5months old, wouldn’t want to rough it up just yet.

5. How accurate is google maps? It estimates 12hrs through Ibadan and 14hrs through illorin.

Aside from the above any other advice or assistance would be welcomed.
Good Morning everyone, just came across this insightful thread. I’m about to make a same trip shortly as well. Last time I did Lagos to Abuja was about 2014, so a lot has changed.

So quick one please, have you made same trip in the last 2 months, I’ll need advices on the best routes to follow as well, though I intend going to ask one of those interstate drivers later today.

I’ll really appreciate any tip at all. Thanks alot
