Well, that's not the case. The fact is that their numbers are always astronomical which some times make up for their shortcomings in the biggest trophies

Imagine Messi in 2010 had 60 goals (only one penalty goal) and many assists and he won multiple trophies too. Ronaldo in 2013 had 69 goals, although he had no trophies. And in 2014, in a WC year, Ronaldo got eliminated in the group stage but at club level, he made a statement while having high numbers

Now imagine Junior not turning up for country in a year there's an international tournament and at the same time, didn't score up to 30 goals for club and country as a Forward 😂😂
