I am posting part of the quotes from your link to answer your question. And do you think America will allow its former number 2 man to stand trial in a third world country? Bribery is a crime anywhere in the world. Cheney was in charge of halliburton at that time Talk all you want they froze their money and it seems EFCC got part of it : A spokesman for Nigeria's Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Femi Babafemi, told ABC News that the charges were dropped after the company agreed to the settlement, which includes the company forfeiting some of the $130 million dollars currently frozen in Swiss accounts. The head of Nigeria's anti-corruption body says the country charged Cheney with bribery to send the message: "Nobody is above the laws of the land."Kobojunkie: Which laws did he violate? And why was your EFCC all too willing to throw away the charges —circumvent those laws you claim he violated— after it was offered money, not by Cheney, but by Halliburton? Read what EFCC itself said back in 2010 about why it decided to drop the charges.

He violated our laws. See how they indict air peace CEO for America but not in nigeria Kobojunkie: Cheney was charged by Nigeria not the U.S. courts who found no evidence to charge him with. Nigeria's case did not go anywhere because, like most cases, Nigeria rushes to charge folks without evidence. The recent charge and imprisonment of the Binance Official is an example of what Nigeria's EFCC is notorious for.
If Nigeria had irrefutable evidence in the Cheney case, Americans would have served Cheney up on a platter of gold to Nigeria back then. There were more than enough Americans at the time who hated Cheney and would have demanded his head during that period. The guy was not loved at all and people searched far and wide for ways to prove any and every case against him. So, that story you lot tell of Hillary Clinton somehow coming to Nigeria to change the tides on behalf of Cheney is bullsheet!

american vice president cheney was indicted then until hilary clinton came to nigeria and do whatever until they drop it. na interference from jonathan. Kobojunkie: Stop gulping down moronic tales fed you! EFCC watched as the many Nigerians implicated in the scam walked away scott-free... many of them are celebrated in Nigeria even today all thanks to EFCC. Now this same EFCC is insisting it should have been paid for what exactly? Nonsense! |

you dey contradict yourself. you mean no be govt dey do this. na opposition political people dey do am to damage govt? hssd8nland: Simple you get the tactics. It’s pure opposition at play; they’re looking for news that makes waves and damages him further. Since the kidnappings aren’t making waves as before, people are fighting back with coordinated assistance from the current military. It’s so sad that Labgaja is dead. |

just contracts to their friends. i see hssd8nland: What do you mean by Aboki? Let me tell you, it will gradually spread—just watch and see. It’s pure politics in play. I knew from the first announcement that we were in for a long ride. Think about it: why now, after all this time? It’s clear that the old tactics of terrorism aren’t as effective anymore, so they’ve changed strategies. More contracts will be awarded for repairs, more funding for the Air Force to patrol the lines—a lot of people stand to cashout. |

Osimhen Double Lifts Galatasaray to Another Victory
Victor Osimhen was once again the shining star for Turkish champions Galatasaray to extend their winning run in the Super Lig after he netted twice in a 3-2 home win over closest rivals Samsunspor on Sunday evening.
Osimhen has now scored six goals in the league and eight in all competitions since his loan transfer from Napoli in the summer.
He dedicated his goals to injured strike partner Mauro Icardi, who will be out of action for many months after he ruptured his ACL. Galatasaray remain top of the standings with 31 points from 11 matches. They are six points clear of nearest rivals Samsunspor. Elsewhere, Osimhen’s national team Captain, William Troost-Ekong, has bagged another award for his outstanding performance at the 2023 AFCON. CAF named him MVP of the 2023 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire, where the Eagles went all the way to final. Ekong scored three goals as a central defender and his overall leadership quality lifted the team beyond most expectations. On Saturday night in Egypt, Ekong was again honoured by ANAFA for his performance at the tournament when he was awarded with the best performance of the AFCON. He is one of 10 nominees for the 2024 CAF Player of the Year Award along with compatriot Ademola Lookman.

and you are arguing against compensation for blacks. are you a black person at all Blazetrailer: I want to believe your username has something to do with your thinking capacity. For your knowledge,
The English were once enslaved and colonised
The Romans(present day Italy) were once slaves to the Byzarntine
The Germans were ince colonised and enslaved by the Saxons
Ireland were once colonised and enslaved by the Anglo Saxons The Chinese were once slaves to both the Japanese and the Mongolians The slavics were once slaves to the saxons
Slavery and colonialism had been in existence for long so not peculiar to Africa. However, while the countries I used as exsmples above have moved on in development and tried to face their challenges only Africans are still loudmouthing slavery and seeking for pittance and hand outs in the name of reparation while looting their commonwealth to take back to these same countries rhat they caimed enslaved them.
It is obvious to me you are a lout, who does not seem to understand or read beyond what he sees in newspapers, henxe your limited perception. Go and read about post colonial givernments innAfrica in the book tiltled "The State of Africa" by Martin Meredith and you will understand why and how Africans sold themselves out to emcourage slavery. |

Colonisation led to a lot of organisstion, development and progress of the african tribes who knew nothing more than fighting wars among themselves endlessly, mindless savagery and cannibalism:you are white person trying to justify colonisation who told you we needed the europeans to organise ourselves you forget that the europeans hunted and killed many blacks in congo and patrice lumumba. as a matter of fact, king of belgium called the congo his personal property. even in cameroun, the french assassinated many opposing black politicians to ensure their puppets were in charge. go and tell the native indians that american colonisers wiped out. or the millions the germans killed in namibia and dash 1 billion euros as peanuts 2 years ago. Nobody even listens to you anymore when you cry for reparations:like they are not listening to arabs while the world seats as they wipe palestinians to genocide. 40k dead all by israel the european and american friend. gaddhafi wanted to squash riots, they sent NATO after him, now netanyahu has killed more than gaddhafi, why is NATO not after him?? the ICC prosecutor that wants to charge him is under probe for sexual harrassment, so they can install their puppet there and kill the case. Blazetrailer: You lack knowledge and your response smacks of someone with shallow view of both history and international politics. They colonised you and they enslaved you....bla bla bla!!
Colonisation and slavery are 2 different things.
Colonisation led to a lot of organisstion, development and progress of the african tribes who knew nothing more than fighting wars among themselves endlessly, mindless savagery and cannibalism. There some islands near the indian ocean up to this day that are still far behind civilisation, rejected cplonisation and still canibalise themselves till today to give an idea of whst Africa coukd have been wothout colonisation.. Africa would still have remained like that if not for colonisation. The colonialists built hospitals, schools, telegram lines and other critical facilitates that many of you still use till today and they got paid for all of that using your natural resources and taxes. The most important thing they gave you was organisation and civilisation. So why are you asking for compensation again after frittering away all the good things the Europeans left behind to turn yourselves to dependants on hand outs.
Again, slavery started with the Arabs, and African chiefs were already selling their people who were captives of wars before Europeans came. Why have you not asked the Arabs to pay you reparations, why are you focused on the Europeans only. You are simply looking for hand outs to loot like you all looted your commonwealth ledt behind by the Europeans. Get your lazy bum off and work it iut for development and stop demanding stupid entitlements. China never did, India had also stopped such a victom mentality. They are both progressing to be industrialised nations after colonisation.
For context, i read a report recently that majority of the funds that was used to develop the Mortgage indutsry in Canada, France, Britain and Switzerland between 1980 and 2000 came from monies transferred from African countries(probably looted funds sent for safekeeping). This helped those foreign countries to give thier people 25 years morthage at a rate as low as 0.5% whereas Africa where those looted funds came from have endemic housing deficit and near zero to none mortgage system existing. You can imagine.
For your knowledge, the Mongolians(Under the imperial Ghengis Khan) captured the inhabitants of present day China and used them for slavery for hundred of years. China did not weep for generations and began to ask for reparations....the generations of Chinese went to work to develop themselves, choosing right leaders to make the right decisions for them, that is why currently hundreds of Mongolians queue up at the Chinese embassy in Mongolia to go and do labour (slave)work in China.
Keep voting thieves and clueless drug barons and other criminals into power and then be asking for hand outs from people who voted the right people.
Nobody even listens to you anymore when you cry for reparations |

we don't have evidence that it was a business between african chiefs and europeans. perhaps they lied to avoid blame. all that matters is they enslaved blacks. and see what they did after? they colonised us !!! if they can colonise us and even colonise black south africans until 1993. so is it still a business between african chiefs or they pointed the gun at them? make sense ! you know liars through their actions Blazetrailer: Wrong. Slavery was a business between the African chiefs eho caotured and soldntheir kits and kin for foreing commodities. Itvwas not like thry cane here and captured people on their own.
Besides, why are Africans so vociferous about reparations from the Westbwhen histiry states that organised slavery in Africa started way back around 1200s when the Touaregs sold theirbear captives to the Arabs in the Trans sahara skave markets. Why are thry not asking for reosrations from the Arabs too. Why the foxus on the West? Lazy buffoons, you voted thieves ans drug lords as leaders and yet you want others to bail you out. |

japan is paying reparations for what they did. they are paying all those asian countries money. and you want blacks in africa not to speak you are still alive and you see your black kin in brazil and you know europeans were responsible. how can you say what you are saying ? are you like kemi? the europeans have done too much damage to this world and they get away with it. look they send weapons to ukraine, but helpless palestine people in gaza are left by themselves while israel use jets and bomb to kill more than 40k. and now they want to drag the ICC prosecutor with a sexual harassment accusation because he want to indict Netanyahu. descarado: Are you comparing yourself with the Jews?
Are you the only country that was sold as slaves or colonised. Romans colonised the English people more than 3 hundred years, Anglo saxon colonised them God knows how many years. Biggest wars in history was fought in uk and for or against the English people. They fought and build themselves to what they are today?
What happened to others? They fought and liberated themselves. What about your people. They have all avenues to liberate themselves giving to them in platters of gold but tribalism and hatred kept them where they are till today. We are so good at sowing seeds of hatred and bad at using our brain effectively.
Japan colonised most of south east Asia but look at those countries. We have this victim mentality written all over us while internally we are more wicked than the so called colonial masters.
We can't even accommodate one another. Shior |

your zimbabwean friend is talking nonsense. jewish people are getting reparations. why not all the blacks whites enslave all over the world. that means whites are getting away with their criminality. that's why the europeans and british colonise them for so long. kemi has made her choice she is british. so FFK trashing her is good. please dissociate from her. you see how india treat rishi sunak. the UK think with sunak there, they can have their way with India, but dem snob am. descarado: A Zimbabwean friend was happy kemi was elected. Asked her why, she said as lo g as she has a black skin. That it's a message. She then asked why we are attacking her. Asked her what she meant. She said we are asking for slavery money as if to say it's only Nigeria that was colonised or sold into slavery. Uk was colonised for donkey years. Other countries don't cry wolf about slavery and colonialism like we do. As if when gi even money our politicians won't share it. We can o ly shut colonial masters up by developing more than them and compete with them internationally. Well, your people love the big life. They use every minute to show their presence everywhere and they are hardly united here.
