NBA dey waste their time. i understand musawa but for ogungbe. i no see problem: The plaintiffs alleged that the mobilisation of Musawa and Ogungbe for the mandatory one-year national youth service after exceeding 30 years of age was unlawful, illegal, and an affront to patriotism.festacman: In as much as Keke Ogungbe, after studying in US, started off self-employed as co-owners of highly successful Kennies Music label, he could have smartly used the period he worked for his brother-in-law Raymond Dokpesi's DAAR Communications as an opportunity to tie up his NYSC loose ends.
He was a bit short-sighted there given how smart he is. May be he never anticipated he will one day got involved in politics.
In any case, I doubt if he committed any offense by still undergoing NYSC because he was within the age limit at the time he graduated. |

the man came because of the chinese ecolime: Probably one of the reasons Blinken came. With his visit, I knew several useless advises will start coming from UN, World Bank, etc.
Years ago, US Presidential visits or visits from their top officials used to come with so much fanfare but nobody send their Papa again. Everybody don wise up. Their hypocrisy has made them lose all moral rights to 'Global leadership'.
If wicked people know the maximum sentence they can get for a crime like murder is life imprisonment, there will be no deterrence.
Why on earth should people like Rev. King and Evans be given life imprisonment? Doesn't make sense. They deserve capital punishment. |

why you dey call Bismarck Rewane olodo ? he is the best we have on TV mrrandomguy: He is absolutely correct. For those who don't understand, the dollars don't reach Nigeria. What the money transfer companies do is to credit the receiver with the naira equivalent. The actual dollars is then diverted away from the official market. This is why the CBN through the official market can never meet Nigeria's dollar obligations because of the low inflow of dollars.
People like the olodo called Bismarck Rewane are agents of the world bank and IMF. They have been pushing for removal of subsidy and exchange rate liberalisation for a long time despite knowing that the official rate can never be the same as the parallel rate. These people have made billions of Naira from the systematic devaluation of the naira. |

blame flutterwave, worldpay and the others FreeStuffsNG: "We have spoken to loads of Nigerians almost everywhere, in the US, UK, etc. They told us how they send remittance. They use Apps, and we have tried some of those Apps, they use parallel market rates. So, you take $1,000 in New York, and tap on your phone that you are sending $1,000 to someone, a Fintech, they pay the Naira equivalent in Nigeria without bringing the dollars, unless of course if the source of the money is illicit.”
If the forex doesn't land in Nigeria then it's wrong of World Bank to classify such funds as diaspora remittances. To qualify as diaspora remittances then the fund must leave the foreign country and land in our own financial system. What predominates does not quantify as remittance because the foreign currencies remain in the overseas account of the operators of those apps who mostly open and operate their bank accounts from illicit funds havens like the British Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Ireland, Mauritius etc. So while you send $1000 from US, you get paid in naira here but your $1000 lands in a bank account in British Virgin Islands! That's not a diaspora remittance in Nigeria!
Those app platforms are the real wall blocking the remaining 90% of the total diaspora funds from getting into our banking system. If our financial regulatory control laws don't reach those fintechs, our tax laws should. FG must go after them and their collaborators here in Nigeria. May God bless Nigeria for ever! the explosion is so big. it looks like terrorism UNDFTD: Lies! Lies!!, and more Lies!!! The government is again lying to its citizens and would do any and everything to NOT call a spade a spade. It's no secret that the explosion that wreaked havoc in Ibadan was a result of an attack by the Fulani terrorists. But as always, the government had chosen the path of deception by making some bogus claims to divert attention away from the real culprits. The questions that people need to ask are: 1. Are there any mining activities going on not just in Bodija-where the explosion happened- but in Ibadan as a whole? 2. Why is it that all the explosions that happened in the past in the southwest were attributed to illegal miners? 3. What are the names of the people (Malians) that the governor claimed were responsible? 4. If the governor was able to ascertain the exact cause of the explosion, why was he NOT able to give more details when he appeared before the camera? Nigerians should start using their thinking faculties to reason and ask more probing questions and not just believe hook line and sinker all these cockamamie lies from their politicians. |
