There were TWO provinces in the Referendum...I'll call them North & South Cameroons, I don't know if that's the CORRECT official names.

Northern Cameroons voted YES to stay in Nigeria as part of the Northern Region of Nigeria.

Southern Cameroons voted NO and thus EXITED the Eastern Region of Nigeria.

The Southern Cameroons were afraid to the same thing that led the Sarduana of Sokoto to demand independence for the North in 1954 - IGBO DOMINATION.

I don't believe there's a viable path to Igbo self determination. Nigerians are Black Africans and as such will NEVER support the freedom of ANY OTHER Black Africans. So forget Biafra.
