I sent you a message @Bullstriker

bullstriker:
Employment documents like employment letters and pay slips are not required for non-Express Entry PNP PR applications. However, you must provide your personal history, including employment history, for not just your present employment but other employment within the last 10 years; unlike Express Entry PR, the primary purpose is to record your activities within the previous 10 years and determine security checks in places you lived for more than 6 months in a row, not necessarily employment verification. Moreover, it might interest you that the processing time for non-express PNP could take more than a year, so the employer’s CAC portal should be active when IRCC opens your application if you are concerned about it.

In PR applications, as long as your application passes the completion check (R10), in other words, there is no missing information or document, it will not be refused without the Immigration Officer issuing a Procedural Fairness Letter (PFL). The PFL allows you to address the concerns of the visa officer. An application has passed the completion check whenever you receive the biometric letter. Submit your application without fear, as a tax clearance certificate and business registration are sufficient proof of active business.

Congratulations, praise to Jah you arrived safely to the great white North.

God knows, the day I enter Canada…first thing is to enter the bathroom, lie on floor and wash away every form African mentality and poverty 😁

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by frony1:
Thank you so much .

While I agree with you , I decided to give the two cents because the other guy that went after me had similar story . In fact he had just 45 mins after we got to the customs to make his next flight, he was very afraid initially but he got his in about 5 minutes too and had enough time to meet up .

On the overall, faith and favour interplay in our lives at various levels and times .

On my part , I kind of over prepared for them because despite haven taken care of documentations, I spent over 7 hrs of my flight time reading my application to ensure that I was in tune with my details and that my story stays consistent. You can imagine after such thorough preparations, you only had such an experience like I did .

Did I forget to say that I remained prayerful for mercy and favour from God through it all ? To me, that was the magic .

In conclusion, prepare well , pray well and hope for the best guys. Let your heart guide your choice of POE but from my experience, I recommend Montreal any day and time .

Bobomaigida:
Congratulations, but it does not work like this for everyone, I have read of someone who entered through Montreal and his entry was not easy, there have been people who went through YYZ and it was smooth. Let us just hope for the best.

Testimony Time!

I left Nigeria on Friday night, arrived Montreal International Airport yesterday.

On seeing me, after custom declaration , the following is the conversation between me and the immigration officer that I approached for my Study permit:

Officer : You are here to study right ?
Me: Yes
Officer : What is the name of your school ?
Me: XYZ
Officer : What is your course of study ?
Me: XYZ
Officer : Please follow the directions to the next room to pick your study permit there .
Me: Thank you so much.

I went straight to the room and in about 5 minutes another officer came with my documents, handed them over to me and directed me on how to join connecting flight to my destination.

It was easier than I thought . I wish everyone here similar story . Just believe!!!

I give God all my praise for making it easier than I had ever imagined . God still answers prayers , keep praying.

Here is my two cents: book to enter through Montreal , ‘e get why!’

Wishing everyone expecting PPR goodnews from IRCC this week .

Happy Sunday guys.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by frony1: 2:55pm On Jun 27, 2024
Yes, I did it and it worked for me . I paid full 2 years tuition plus other payments on my LOA and also did GIC.

BillQ:
Boss so you mean I can pay 2 years tuition ?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by frony1: 12:59pm On Jun 27, 2024
It took 2 months from when they sent me a mail confirming that my refund was approved to when I received the actual amount minus their administrative charges in my foreign account.

benja007:
Hello ,please has anyone done a conestoga college refund, how long did it take to get your refund to your dom account?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by frony1: 12:40pm On Jun 27, 2024
This is just my opinion based on my self experience.
Since you have the tuition for the second year and about 20k CAD , why not make your POF easier for yourself and simplified for the VO by paying the complete tuition for your 2 years of study and also do a GIC of 20k to cover for your living expenses. As simple as this sounds, it is a definitive statement that your fund is not only available but accessible for the intended purpose, it also demonstrates that you really intend to study and will not depend on the job market to pay for your study .
Imagine presenting POF documents starting with your school official receipts for your full year of study supported by GIC to cover your living expenses, the VO will surely be interested in believing your SOP and of course your application.
Peace!

BillQ:
Please I want someone to answer my question please . I have asked this question no one has answered me straight.

I’m going for a two years course, I have paid tuition of $18,638, and I have the tuition for the next year, including, $20,635 and about 7M is this enough, I’m sponsoring myself!

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by frony1: 7:25pm On Jun 05, 2024
In my opinion, you can use the valuation report if you have it but if you don’t , you can still use the other documents that you have, it all depends on the strength of your application and how important your land is in supporting your economic cum home ties . Your writing skill and other documentation can make the difference. Some people didn’t even use landed properties to get PPR. It all depends on the strength of your application and the critical role it has to play in it for you . If your landed property is one of your major proof for economic cum home ties according to how you have arranged your application, then getting a valuation report becomes crucial.

MarksmanD:
Must you evaluate any of the properties you want to use as home ties? Can I just submit the land documents and do a rough estimate of the valuation?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by frony1: 7:20pm On Jun 05, 2024
What about the sales receipt? I feel the documents you have can serve . This is my opinion though.

Crystalgirl:
Thank you so much for your response. I want to use the sold one as my POF and the remaining one as home ties. I have the deed of conveyance from my dad to me, the sales agreement, the survey plan for the remaining 3 plots that still belongs to me and the valuation of the landed properties. Is there any other documents I need to provide? Thanks a lot.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by frony1: 2:47pm On Jun 05, 2024
If you intend to use the remaining plots of land as proof of economic viz-a-viz home ties, you can show the survey plans ( and possibly valuation report) for them .

If you intend to use the proceeds from the sold ones as part of your proof of fund, you can show the sales receipts, deeds of conveyance ( which could contain the survey plans) between you and the buyers.

To be simply put, it depends on your intent in your application packaging.

I wish you the best!

Crystalgirl:
Hello guys, please I have 6 plots of land and I sold 3 out of it, I have the sales receipts and the land documents, my question is which survey plan am I supposed to submit? The remaining one that I own or the one I sold? An answer will be very much appreciated, thanks.

No, you don’t need a PAL for M.Sc program and that was why it wasn’t mentioned. Congratulations on your M.Sc program admission.

idirect:
Thank you for your response.
I however need a clarification on the PAL issue. I have been admitted into a MSc programme. Do I need PAL? No mention of that in my admission condition. I was just my admission letter with doc attached titled FOR “study permit purpose only”
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by frony1: 9:05pm On May 24, 2024
Have you been working on your application before now , most especially your POF? If yes, you got more than enough time but if not , you may consider your second option . People have been getting responses to their applications in just 4 weeks even though response time was stated to be 15 weeks on IRCC website. One thing you must not do at this point is to get discouraged or compare yourself to anyone. Some people have already gotten their PPR but some others that are yet to submit their files as at today will surely get theirs too and all can resume at same time - September.

Another area you may consider is your program, do you need PAL , if yes , that might be a factor because IRCC had a cap for every province on programs that need PAL and as soon as that is achieved, they might not be giving approvals again until next cycle.

Finally, you may consider cost of air ticket right now . It is getting high so the earlier you apply and get your approval, the better you stand to buy affordable tickets. You may factor this in your consideration to reaching a final decision.

Whatever you decide, be courageous and strong , prepare a very strong POF and SOP , you will celebrate.

I wish you the best!

idirect:
Hello people.
I got my admission offer today and my resumption date is September. Just wanna ask if it’s there is enough time for me to submit my visa application and get a decision before that time or I should just defer my admission. Thank you
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by frony1: 12:27pm On May 24, 2024
The first mistake that I did was not getting my gcms note after the first refusal before re-applying. The response on a typical rejection note is generic, only your gcms note can show you what really went wrong. My second application ( first re-application ) was a mere guess work, I was applying trials and errors.

After the second refusal, I ensured that I got the gcms note as the generic rejection note was similar to the first . In fact , I got gcms notes, one from outside Canada ( this was free) by myself . My friend also assisted to request on my behalf from inside Canada ( he paid a token for his request). The notes came out three days apart and mine that free of charge and was requested from outside Canada came out first .

With the notes on my table, my task became clearly cut out after @Zubizareta analyzed the note and came up with eleven action points to tackle the concerns raised by the VO and these includes but not limited to :

1. Paying full tuition, books, insurance for my two years study duration as a way of demonstrating that the funds in my POF were available and accessible to me.
2. GIC of 10,000 CAD was done to further prove the point already mentioned above.
3. Tax Clearance was done and certificate was gotten from Lagos State government.
4. My father’s death certificate, will and deeds were shown to explain source of capital for my business.
5. Lump sum transactions in my statement of account were well explained with evidences.
6. SOP was critically reviewed and carefully drafted with the help of @Zubizareta to explain my choice of course and program despite over ten years of study gap and differences in my current business and intended course of study . It was a very detailed SOP
7. Clear demonstration of home ties using my properties and investments. Yes, even the new police CRM certificates for my two vehicles were part of this demonstration.
8. Family ties were clearly demonstrated too
9. I clearly admitted to past two refusals, itemized the reasons as stated on the GCMS notes and clearly demonstrated what I did new to take care of the issues raised .
10. Pray! Pray!! Pray!!! After you must have done your due diligence, acknowledge the role of the supernatural irrespective of your religion, if it’s God’s time and you have done your part , nothing will stop you .

I wish everyone well and I look forward to more good news in the coming days .

To God be the glory !
