Job Title: HVAC Technician
Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities:
1. Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
2. Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
3. Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
4. Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
5. Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
6. Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
7. Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
8. Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Qualification Requirements
1. B.sc in Electrical Engr or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 2 years years experience as an HVAC technician.
3. Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.
4. Working knowledge of boiler systems.
5. Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
6. Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.

• Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics noise levels, use of machinery etc.
• Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures.
• Review existing policies and measures; update according to legislation.
• Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives.
• Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity e.g. not using protective equipment.
• Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
• Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
• Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.

Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years years experience as a HVAC technician.

• In depth knowledge of legislation e.g. OSHA/EPA and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities
