That's a pretty tough industry to make it in from what I know of it. Certainly fun to be involved with movies and TV, but it's not as easy as taking a few classes and getting work right away. Like anything else, it takes a lot of time and hard work.

Not sure about the timing of moving to NYC right now, but it's been a fun place to visit in my experience. I don't think I could handle the pace of life there long term, but it does have its perks. For what it's worth, my cousin and his wife moved there a couple years ago and had a really good experience with this moving company: https://threemenandatruck.net/new-york/ - it's not always easy to find a mover you can trust and rely upon to get your stuff moved safely, but they were very pleased with that one.

Is anyone trying to gain weight right now? I know my problem is usually trying to lose weight, not add it on!

An experience. Go for a walk or to some other free or low cost activity. If she's your girlfriend, she probably knows you're not rich and likes just spending time with you. Doing something nice for her that's fun and memorable doesn't have to cost a fortune.
