A police officer was seriously assaulted and wounded with a machete by a suspect. On receiving a complaint at the station from a young man against his elder brother who was assaulting their mother, the said officer moved with his patrol men along with the complainant to invite the suspect to the station, on reaching the compound the suspect came out from his hiding place and attacked the officer with a machete. The attacked policeman is currently receiving treatment in the hospital. This incident occurred on Monday 22-07-2019,in Abak,Akwa ibom state. Shun brutality and violence.
