Literature / 25,000 Naira To Be Won On Www.ifooafrica.com by funkygal: 7:14am On Sep 30, 2014
Good morning all,

I don't know if anyone saw a press release on Olori Supergal blog announcing a new audio based online platform called Ifooafrica. They say if you upload an audio story of 10 minutes or less and you have the highest number of votes, 25k will be yours at the end of the month and competition runs for 12 months.

Uti Nwachukwu, Kate Henshaw and Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha did a sample story which is also posted on their site and there's a swatch watch to be won for the best comment

Anyway shaa check out their website www.ifooafrica.com

Literature / Can You Transform Your Short Stories Into Audio Dramas In 15 Minutes Or Less? by funkygal: 11:09pm On Jul 06, 2014
My fellow Nairalanders

I need your inputs!

I was hanging out with my cousin this evening and discussing a new platform that is coming on board for storytellers. Basically, the platform will allow anyone that writes short stories and can transform them to an audio drama to upload it to the site and share with everyone

The platform is expected to launch in September and will run a monthly competition for 12 months. At the end of each month, the storyteller with the highest number of listens will win some sort of monetary prize.

I need your inputs on the suggested monetary prize. He says they can either pay per listen or a lump sum. What do you guys think and why?

Thanks.

Career / Re: Do I Relocate Abroad Despite Having A Bright Career Here In Nigeria ? by funkygal: 6:15pm On Jan 04, 2007
I am glad to see all the responses to this post and that Nigerians know wassup. Whenever i tell people that Nigeria is the way forward they look at me as if i have double heads. 15 milla and u are contemplating relocating? How? Like has already been repeated several times, UK and USA will traumatise u, starting from scratch, paying this bill. tax and all sorts of bulshit.

Having all thos akatas and whiteys looking at u like they are doing u a favour. Better tell ur wifee to slow her roll and enjoy her time in Naija. If na shopping she wan go do in yankee or jand every year, she can

Help me answer this question. How come most people that live and work in Naija can afford to take a vacation in jand or yankee every year and the ones that are earning the ££'s and $$'s can only show face in Naija once in 5 or 10 years?
