asap32:SORRY FOR THE PAINS. PERHAPS U ARE HAVING CHRONIC HBV. TRY MINIMIZE TAKING OILY FOODS( TAKE TIME TO DIGEST AND STRESS LIVER), AVOID ALCOHOL, AND ANY OTHERS AS ADVISED BY YOUR DOCTOR. INCREASE YOUR INTAKE OF FRUITS, VEGETABLES AND ANY OTHERS THAT COULD HELP BOOST YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM. CONTINUE TAKING LIVOLIN AND THE GLUCOSE AS PRESCRIBED TO YOU, THEY ARE ONLY TO HELP YOUR LIVER FUNCTION PROPERLY AND NOT TO CURE/FIGHT THE DISEASE, PERHAPS IT WILL TAKE MORE TIME BEFORE FEELING THE EFFECTS. TRY AND DO THE TESTS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, THAT WOULD BE USED TO DETERMINE IF U NEED TO BE GIVEN DRUG OR NOT AND TO MONITOR HOW YOUR SYSTEM IS RESPONDING TO TREATMENT LATER. THAT'S THE LITTLE I CAN CONTRIBUTE AS PER MY LITTLE KNOWLEDGE. TAKE CARE |

Kaykay:A BIG LIE I was not involved in road contract – Emir of Ilorin The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has said that there is no iota of truth in an allegation making round that he was recently invited by President Muhammadu Buhari over the Ilorin-Jebba express road contract stressing that the act is extremely condemnable. While reacting on Thursday through the National Secretary of Shehu Alimi Foundation for Peace and Development, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona , the emir noted that such negative act is capable of causing undesired havoc in the country. According to him, “I have never taken contract either for myself or any other body or group of people from the federal government in my life. I have always maintained high level of integrity and honesty in my career as a judicial officer until I relinquished the he position as Presiding Judge in the he Court of Appeal in 1995 and I still maintained my stand as the Emir of Ilorin.” “At no time have ever lobbied for contract from the Federal Government or any of its agents. The allegation is not only reckless but it is also extremely damaging to my personality as a highly placed traditional ruler in the country. I was never invited by the President neither was I invited by any of the anti-graft agencies.” Speaking further, Alhaji Sulu-Gambari stressed that “When the Minister for Works, Power and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN), visited Kwara State recenly on road inspection tour, as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria that he is, I expected that he will come to the palace on courtesy visit but I was later told that he has gone. “Nigerians should be well informed that the resumption of work on the road by the contractor should be regarded as the federal government’s commitment to the welfare of the citizenry as promised during the electioneering campaigns.” The emir therefore advised Nigerians to disregard the rumour aimed at scoring undue publicity by the author as well as targeted at damaging the age-long and hard-earned reputations garnered over the year even as he urged interested persons to visit the concerned ministry for further clarifications. www.kwaralefro.com/2016/04/28/i-was-not-involved-in-road-contract-emir-of-ilorin/#comment-40059 |
Gboliwe:Help out pls! I don't know what exactly is the problem, and have been trying to get enrolled since 2014 in vain. The first form was submitted in 2014 and when my name didn't come out, i submitted another one in September last year, hoping that my name will come out with the January list. Now my name didn't still come out both in October last year, January and April this year, whereas the names of all my colleagues that we collected and submitted the last one together came out. I complain to Songhai about this and they told me the problem is not from them, that its from NHIS. I went to Kaduna NHIS office to, i was told the problem is from my HMO, that probably they didn't submit the form. What should i do now, i'm confused? |

MANDELA TO NIGERIA “YOU know I am not very happy with Nigeria. I have made that very clear on many occasions. Yes, Nigeria stood by us more than any nation, but you let yourselves down, and Africa and the black race very badly. Your leaders have no respect for their people. They believe that their personal interests are the interests of the people. They take people’s resources and turn it into personal wealth. There is a level of poverty in Nigeria that should be unacceptable. I cannot understand why Nigerians are not more angry than they are. “What do young Nigerians think about your leaders and their country and Africa? Do you teach them history? Do you have lessons on how your past leaders stood by us and gave us large amounts of money? You know I hear from Angolans and Mozambicans and Zimbabweans how your people opened their hearts and their homes to them. I was in prison then, but we know how your leaders punished western companies who supported Apartheid. “What about the corruption and the crimes? Your elections are like wars. Now we hear that you cannot be president in Nigeria unless you are Muslim or Christian. Some people tell me your country may break up. Please don’t let it happen. “Let me tell you what I think you need to do. You should encourage leaders to emerge who will not confuse public office with sources of making personal wealth. Corrupt people do not make good leaders. Then you have to spend a lot of your resources for education. “Educate children of the poor, so that they can get out of poverty. Poverty does not breed confidence. Only confident people can bring changes. Poor, uneducated people can also bring change, but it will be hijacked by the educated and the wealthy...give young Nigerians good education. Teach them the value of hard work and sacrifice, and discourage them from crimes which are destroying your image as a good people.” (Excerpts taken from a 2007 interview with Mandela conducted by Dr Hakeem Baba- Ahmed). |
