I think you should change to Lagos at this point. After the Education USA engagement, most people have had to move to Lagos.

I was told I can’t cancel the current EA appointment otherwise I risk not getting any more EA even with Lagos consulate. Please, Do you know of anyone who previously cancelled his/her EA in one consulate and was able to get another EA in different consulate?

Thank you for your response. I wanted to cancel my EA appointment with Abuja embassy and switch to Lagos but I was told when I called the US consulate visa desk that I risked the chance of not been able to use any EA if I go ahead with the cancellation

Please, which location did you apply for the EA and how long did it take them to respond?

My starting date is 21 August

if your starting date is 16th July that's so close. I hope you have letter of extension from your school.

I got an emergency letter request from my school stating tentatively of my need return to school on that date. I started mailing Abuja embassy since June 27th but no response till now.

I have used my MRV twice and I’m tempted to switch to Lagos to see if I could salvage the situation

From the trend of things, Abuja EA response takes 3-4 weeks.

Lagos takes 2-3 working days

NB: this is just an observation from people who have gotten responses so far.

This is my third week and I haven’t heard from Abuja yet.

Sorry, when is your starting date? I’m due to resume back 16th July to continue my program and my EA application for Abuja hasn’t been looked into for over a week now.
