Barca's loss was the biggest margin of defeat in a Champions League semi-final - and the Spanish and German giants meet at the same stage this year. "That hurt a lot, but a lot of time has passed," said Argentina forward Messi. "We come into the game differently, as do they, and it will be a different tie to that one." Bayern manager Pep Guardiola spent four years as Barca boss, winning three league titles and two Champions Leagues. The 2012-13 tie came during the Spaniard's year out of the game before joining the Germans. He has now won the domestic league title in both his seasons at Bayern, but his side have also experienced a recent humbling at this stage, beaten 5-0 in the Champions League semi-finals by Real Madrid last season. Messi, who will make his 100th European appearance, said: "He was with us for a long time and we had the luck to win many titles and experience important moments. He is a coach that studies everything. "It is the same for both sides. Pep knows us very well and we know what he asks of his players. It is 50-50, we both know each other very well." Barca midfielder Andres Iniesta said: "We experienced some really great moments together. Wednesday's game will be special for everyone because the memories are always there." http://m.bbc.com/sport/football/32593404 |
Barcelona's Lionel Messi says their 7-0 aggregate semi-final thrashing by Bayern Munich in 2013 "hurt", as they aim for revenge on Wednesday. |
