EKITI STATE UNIVERSITY, ADO-EKITI EKSUites ON A PEACEFULL MATCH
Its a fun filled morning as EKSUites reconvene to continue the
protest which they started yesterday as touching the issue of ” no
school fee, no lecture” policy of the school management.
Students were seen jubilating amidst a sound system of a DJ playing
music of different types like some songs of the Afro Legend Fela
Anikulapo Kuti among other. The DJ who also have a stand
mounted at the front of the school main gate surrounded by the
aggrieved students carrying placards.
The school gate as at now is still closed to all the staff and students
of the institution, as security personnel were on ground to curtail
students to maintain peace and order. As at yesterday evening, the
Management team met some of the students in a close door
meeting to dialogue on the issue of the policy of“ no school fee, no
lecture “. The report of the outcome of the meeting was that “every
students have been given just two weeks to source for their school
fees”.
Part of what led to this morning protest was that the issue of no
lecture , no school fee should be totally eradicatedm
