If these guys recover on time, Man utd will need to win Europa to qualify for UCL, if Chelsea don't fall to play there this season though. How time has changed So this is how Chelsea recover only to discover europa awaits them

Spy360: Our attack is complete in my opinion, we already have Martinelli to rotate with Saka. I agree on this position Except we are selling one of our attackers, there is no need of adding to it Pepe, Martinelli, saka, nelson can operate from the flanks If both auba and laca stay, we are good in the center forward position. We also have nketiah who can also play there. |

TalabiAudu: Man they stand NO chance. I'm freaking serious.
Go and watch Barca this season against top teams. Go and watch them against Madrid (2 legs), Atletico, Napoli 1st leg. Teams are not focussing on Messi like before, he's getting dispossessed more often these days
Messi can't do much, overall team play would be highly effective in which Barca don't have. Bayern will run Barca ragged that's if they even get past Napoli You are right to certain extent Barca midfield are parading tired legs Busquets and rakitic are not at the top level they were before, they don't drive with the ball forward, they don't press, all they do is to give side way passes Vidal is good at pressing but he is limited technically in controlling the midfield messi has to drop deeper to collect the ball So before he reaches final third of the pitch, he might have been dispossessed of the ball messi is not a player you can underestimate even though age is catching up with him |

TalabiAudu: Even though Messi is given enough space, they still don't stand a chance. They stand a little chance Messi is not the kind of player you give freedom to operate especially in the middle area of the pitch He can exchange passes with other players and score goals or he can create chances leading to goal |

kokaneprodigy: Left to me emphasis should be on midfield [a 10 and one potent DM) we can still work with what we have in attack and defence if funds is not a luxury.
Shipping out Ozil and Guen can sort this, I still consider keeping Xhaka as a squad player. I agree with you on this point Our midfield used to be our strongest point before, now it is our weakest point Post invincible era we have been blessed with midfielders like fabregas, hleb, song, diaby, flamini and the likes We were known as a possession based team then Those guys could control the midfield effectively and create chances for our attackers Right now we have midfielders who are not technical enough to control the midfield and create chances This should be arteta's main priority |

kendrick9: Suarez Messi Griezzman up against a not too good Bayern defense? It's silly to say they don't stand a chance If you look at the tough opponents barca played in la liga of recent, sevilla and atletico They know messi is most dangerous when operating in the middle area they crowded the middle to stiffle messi from being effective and they succeeded Barcelona play through the flanks is not as effective like bayern Griezman is not effective on the flanks Suarez is declining gradually you can't count on him to take on players and his goal output has dropped All barca does is pass to messi |

A40: CL and Quarter finals ti set. Unless we perform the mother of all chokejobs we would be facing the winner between Napoli and Barca
And then in the semis if we advance the winner between Madrid/City and Lyon/Juve Bayern is the favorite to reach champions league final and even to win it Should barca qualify for the quarter final I don't see barca stopping bayern Bayern team is more balanced than barca If messi is not given enough space to operate in the middle, they don't stand a chance at all |

Saka............. Aubameyang..... ....... Pepe Tierney ... Ceballos ... Xhaka ........ Bellerin Holding................ Luiz ................. Mustafi ......................... I enjoy getting behind his skin.
Meanwhile, Guendouzi has been training alone for two weeks after refusing to apologize for the Brighton incident. The lad most likely will be offloaded basically for indiscipline.
Good one by Arteta for me. There should be zero tolerance for indiscipline. We must destroy this bad atmosphere. Arteta does not rate guendouzi highly This indiscipline stuff just provided Arteta the opportunity to get rid of him He won't be missed at all He should drag his sluggish ass to another club where he will be given ample time to form activity on the field with no end product and doing escort services while they are attacking his team |

I am glad we won. Another clean sheet to boost the morale of the team. Arteta is doing a good job for now considering the players available at his disposal. Both teams were too conservative with the ball. No one wanted to push foward in numbers, they were just trying to nullify each other threats. The only difference is we were clinical with the few chances created. I hope next season with the recruitments coming in we would be able to give better performance But for now I will take the scrappy victory with the average performance. |

After that injury he has not been the same The speed he relies on to cover his limited technique is gone. I will take AMN or Cedric over him at the moment. |

Roland17: We need to totally revamp our midfield and that is where I agree with @Kokaneprodigy. You can get the best wingers but if you lack the right midfielders to help coordinate/ transition offense and push the ball, irrespective of how skilled your wingers are, they would be ineffective and wingers have the tendency to become selfish if they are not involved. Also, if your style of attack is primarily through the wings it becomes predictable and easy for opponents to plan against your team. More so , without a good midfield, your counter attacks become blunt, thus making your wingers irrelevant. Do you know how many counter attack opportunities we blew yesterday?
Yesterday’s loss was on Arteta, he should have raised his hand during the press conference. Take a look at the formation and how it was broken down! You are playing a back 4 with Kola yet you brought Tierney whom you should have started in the first place. (Abeg I don’t want to hear injury scare excuse)
A midfield base of Ceballos and Guen, threw Saka into the AM which was part of our undoing because the kid has made it clear during the break that while he is versatile he was to build his confidence from the LW position, not LB, LWB or AM position. Well, whenever we had possession, the kid was drifting to his preferred position, thus saturating that wing, causing more offsides for Auba and himself. If the idea was to be fluid then it was a horrible decision because we lack any identity, I mean outside of losing and drawing games.
Furthermore, you would notice whenever we had possession we were spending incredible amounts of time in our own half, back passing. The midfield pairing lacked the dynamism/ grit to coordinate the attack. Auba, Laca, Saka and Pepe were all dropping deep to collect the ball. It was a horrible tactic, it was flat. Pepe is dangerous when he is inside the box, not outside of it, not when he has to make long runs because he would be doubled and of course it is easy for him to become distracted by some fruitless dribbling. You are right on the midfield aspect Also, auba and pepe were isolated on the wings, especially pepe because our fullbacks are not making many overlapping runs That's why Pepe was doing his meaningless dribbles I believe if the team is balanced from defense to midfield, our attack is good enough to compete |

I dont know the kind of training we did during lockdown I expected some of the players to have improved but they are stagnant I don't know what arteta sees in training to be selecting the likes of guendouzi, willock to start a game of such magnitude. Selecting a right formation for an unbalanced side like us is difficult. Most of our players have deficiencies in certain aspects of the game. I just hope the team he will select today will pick 3 points against Brighton |

BlueRayDick: Sell Ur club's current highest goal scorer who was last year's league highest goal scorer ( because u believe he is aging) only to replace him with a 19 year old that plays in a farmer's league and expect him to to lead the frontline?
I no dey into this kind arrangement at all. Halland has only played for a short while in the Bendes-Ligor and he hasn't proven himself elsewhere. Signing him to replace Auba is a huge risk that shouldn't be taken at all. If Auba must be sold, then an experienced striker should be brought in to replace him Spot on Dembele and pulisic are yet to make major impact in their respective clubs Signing haaland will be a gamble at the moment. |
