Gabriel411: I hope the FG appeals, Ikoyi registry has done well in registering marriages, you don't want the process abused. Imagine if local government offices starts registering marriages, that's absurd. That is the work of local government. Go to any local governments on Thursdays, they register married couples. It is even absurd for FG to register marriages. |

Favor99: Yea it’s the fukked up world we live in. As Nigerians we should be uniting not dividing. This tribalism stems from the divide and rule the British did during the colonial era and even before that. That’s how all the animosity between the different tribes started. We should be coming together not tearing each other up. Tribalism is definitely not cool or right. That is just it, tribalism can't help but to foster unity. God that created us into different tribes is not stupid. Our diversity can make us great. |

Toks2008: Nope..Christianity is not the way neither is any other religion..JESUS BROUGHT SALVATION NOT RELIGION and as long as they accept the only way to heaven which is Jesus...He is the only way to heaven and whether you are a Muslim, budhist or whatever religion..as long as you pray and worship Jehovah/Allah or whatever name you call the Almighty GOD in your language and also accept Jesus as your lord and savior, you are certain to have eternal life in Paradise but if you ever die without accepting Jesus as your lord and saviour then you have automatically made that decision to be in Hell and GOD has no hand in that but you chose it.
There is no basis for argument but there are two options...believe now or find out after you die when it becomes too late.
Read the article on my signature to have an in-depth understanding...no one deserves to be in hell except Satan and his demons who also made their choice. Sorry brother, Jesus doesn't know you and was not sent to Nigerians. According to the Bible he was only sent to lost sheep of Israel. I don't like talking about religion, but bringing religious matter on non-religion thread is not right. |

Favor99: Yea I used to believe Nigerians/Africans we’re innocent and are the victims. I come to a Nigerian forum and I’m seeing a similar display of racism/tribalism between Nigerian ethnic groups. Although the whites/Arabs/Asians are cruel to us for their own unknown reasons. If oyinbo or black Americans were to start dissing Nigerians, Naija people will be crying racism. I’m now seeing Naija people are no different. Brother you are absolutely right. I commented on Aljazeera facebook page, the next thing a New Zealander lady started abusing me, that, "You are a Nigerian keep shut, your country is so corrupt and full of fraudsters", I told her I know my country is corrupt just like any other country on earth but the degree is just different. I have a black American woman on my facebook, she posted something about black men that most women should avoid, the first on the list was Nigeria, If you see what other women said about Nigerians, they said "Nigerian men are bloody liars, they like to rip off from the women that are citizens of their host nations, that Nigerians use religion as a cover up but fraudulent in nature and most of them do have wives at home(Nigeria) and keep deceiving other women of different National". Bro, I could not comment on that post because, they would tear me into pieces with comments. |

Favor99: Those Igbos are very tribalistic, I used to feel sorry for other Nigerians/Africans when they get dissed by oyinbo. But it turns out Nigerians are very tribalistic and racist. At the end of the day human beings are human beings regardless of color. Nigerians are tribalist as f***, very pathetic I have noticed that on Nairaland. If things doesn't favour them, they start shouting marginalization as if they are the only one being marginalised in the country. Though we have exceptions among them. I don't know why Nairaland mods are not clamping down on tribal bigots on Nairaland. Could you imagine someone calling a player terrorist just because he got red card as if it was Sani Keita that killed his family. That is why I don't blame those whites/asians/arabs that hate we blacks especially we Nigerians. If a Nigerian could hate on a fellow Nigerian just because of his belief and tribe then I see know reason why we should wail when Nigerians are being attacked by racists in diaspora. |

enonche85: Good u mentioned Zidane bouncing back to help France win the world cup. Anger management made Zidane bounce back. Where is ur Sani Keita today?. What am telling you is, calling a player terrorist just because of a mistake is uncalled for. Where is Udeze now? After 2002, the guy fizzled out like fart. I sense you just hate Sani since he is a northerner. Udeze costs us a point against Sweden same with Ayegbeni made us got one point instead of 3 points against South Korea. The 3 of them made a mistake. Stop being a hypocrite. |

enonche85: Oga, the case of Udeze and Ayegbeni was due to shea incompetence, but that of Sani was deliberate and due to wickedness and hate.
How else can u explain someone leaving the ball and deliberately kicking another player for doing his job in the field of play?. Incompetence indeed! For players that are playing in the top flight football leagues in Europe. Sani Keita made a mistake just like other two I mentioned that doesn't warrant you calling him a terrorist. Zidane did the same thing to a Saudi Arabian player in France 1998, exactly what Sani Keita did. France never called him a terrorist for that action instead he bounced back at the knock out stage of the tournament and helped his beloved country France to win a memorable world cup. Beckham also got a red card for a similar action in France 1998 against Argentina till today he is still worship by many in England/world. |
Sports › Re: 2018 World Cup To Be Broadcast In Pidgin And Hausa by Gaddafithe2nd(m): 10:01am On May 16, 2018 |
Olumyco: Let me coming into this with my little understanding about dis... I seem to understand somethings about this lang. tins
First of all about BBC Hausa and co... going back to history it was formed because most Hausa pple do not understand English. Not because of anything but because of lack of English comprehension. As at Independence in 1960 there are more educated fellows in Yoruba than Hausa...
History solves a lot of things pls let us always read history
Now to the Hausa/Yoruba palava... there is a difference between "most spoken" and "most widely spoken". Also there is difference between "most spoken as first lang and most spoken as second lang.
In Nigeria Yoruba is the most spoken language as the first language in Nigeria which invariably says its the most spoken language in West Africa. If we consider "speaking as second language".. which will combine both the population of pple speaking it as first and second lang.. then Hausa will be the most spoken lang in Nigeria and invariably in West Africa. Many pple in the North have their first lang... we have fulfilde, Kanuri, etc
Now to most widely spoken. Hausa has it. Most Northern side of West Africa can be seen to have the Hausa tribe resident there. Hausa is the most widely spoken lang in West Africa.
Like Chinese is the most spoken language in the World because of population. But the most widely spoken lang is English... it cut across many countries.
Finally... outside Nigeria... the Yorubas and Igbos are more popular than the Hausas because... these are the pple doing biz/travelling and who pple in other countries meet... All you wrote are false. Which Yoruba is the most spoken first language in Nigeria? Do you mean the same Yoruba people that speak English to their wards. Oga Hausa are more popular than any other ethnic groups in Nigeria. It is the only language in west Africa recognised internationally. Even most foreigners want to learn Hausa before any other language in Nigeria/West Africa. My advise for any one that want to learn a new Language. Learn Arabic, English, Spanish, French, Mandarin Chinese, Kiswahili and Hausa. If you can understand 3 to 5 of these languages, you are a hot cake. |

enonche85: Hope u have not forgotten what that terrorist Sani Keita did to us in the last world cup since u want to bring sentiments into this?. Why would you call him a terrorist just because he got a red card in South Africa 2010? Should I call Ifeanyi Udeze a terrorist for making a reckless tackle on Henrik Larsson of Sweden in the box 18 which led Nigeria to crash out at the Korea/Japan 2002 or is it Yakubu Ayegbeni that couldn't score when he was in front of an empty net in South Africa 2010. Let always watch our tongues and stop bringing hate into sport. |

I have been expecting this kind of news. I can see some people blaming govt for this. Why would some people blame government for their misfortune? Was it the government that told them to travel to another man's land illegally. Many of them even cooked lies just to paint their country black in the diaspora. I was watching a documentary how many Nigerians were crossing to Canada using USA as a transit. One woman, a single mother of 4 kids lied that "Islamic clerics made her fled Nigeria, that the Islamic clerics are molesting her kids". I just shook my head. No country tolerates illegal immigrants, even our beloved country Nigeria that we all think don't take immigration law serious do fine illegal immigrants.
I could remember some years back, I was chatting with a Filipino woman, she told me she will soon go back to her country. I now asked why since she is married to a Nigerian, she said, "if her visa expires and she doesn't renew or leave Nigeria before the expiration date, she would be fined at the airport by immigration officer. She said, her relative that tried it was delayed at the airport until he payed a whooping sum of 1 million Naira before he could leave Nigeria".
Let them come back home. That would teach them a lesson to always do things legally. |

Or claim that their village is under attack even when they come from Itu Local Government Area.
