Accommodation in Abuja of one of the biggest problem for corpers before PPA.

The reason is houses are overly expensive here. A comfortable self cointain with light, water in suburbs areas like Kubwa, dutse, Apo Resettlement, Lokoguma, Gwarinpa etc. go for nothing less than 200k, i won't want to even talk about the rents in developed areas cos that isn't my target here

As a corper serving in abuja, the best thing that will happen to you is for you to have a family members, relatives, friends leaving there that u can stay with. Else, This is where your frustration starts.

But all hope isn't lost as we have some churches and fellowships that provides cheap/almost free accommodation for corpers who don't have anyone in Abuja or corpers who might want to save alittle from their allowee

1. NCCF
Nigerian Christian corper followship. This is the number one fellowship as far as NYSC is concern. They have 3 family house. One in the Camp at Kubwa another one at Mararaba, and last one is at Gwarinpa.

PROS
1. Cheap Monthly fee is 6k -7.5k
2. They are well positioned in Abuja and you can stay in any house close to your PPA
3. Socialize with people through the rural rugged outreach.
4. Free bus to and fro church
5. You are allowed to fellowship with any church

CONS.
1. You might not be comfortable with some house rules. Such as No cooking. Guys can't wear short Nicka and girl's can't wear trousers and skirt must not be above knee level outside the rooms.

But as corper looking for accommodation, we can easily conform to those rules.

2.Mararaba unusually experience go slow in the morning and Evening. You might need to wake up early to get to work on time

2. CATHOLIC CORPERS LODGE
This is another cheap accommodation for corpers who wants to save money. Put up by a Catholic Church and it's located at nyanya close to mararaba.

PROS.
1. Cheap Monthly fee of 4k.
2. Cheap transportation to central Abuja and environs
3. Lodge and Church are in thesame place

CONS.
1. Might not be comfortable with houses rules/church rules especially if you are not a Catholic.
2. Go slow in the morning
3. No cooking as well
4. Camp setting like rooms


3. PGA CORPERS LODGE
This is the best one among all of them and i highly recommend it. It is own by Pentecostal Glorious Assembly church pastored by a former NYSC state coordinator.

They have 3 lodges Arab, Aso and Phase 4 all in Kubwa.

PROS
1. No monthly fees. Contribution is done by everyone for utility bills and might not be up to 2k monthly
2. Comfortable house rules
3. Cooking is allowed
4. There is fridge in each Lodge
5. Beautiful environment all houses are in an estate
6. Constant power supply
7. Free bus to and fro Church every service day

CONS.
1. Limited bed spaces available and i think you should know why.
2.You Can't attend another church while staying at PGA lodge

My Advice to corpers serving in Abuja is, submit you posting letter that same day and get accommodated as soon as possible, so that your mind can be at rest. Enjoy you 21days in camp

Normal Airtel data plan is better than even MTN sme data

MTN ARE THIEVES. I tot it was my fault at first until I noticed it because I was very careful. They even collected my 150 for goody bag plan that never worked. I have decided to switch to airtel. MTN SIM is going back to my touchlight phone

You know after graduating the university some schools delay up to 6 to 12 months before sending their students for NYSC.

My question is those BOSS. Yes I call them boss. That refuse to go back to their fathers house but decided to be a real man and stay in school while waiting for NYSC.

How were you able to survive it without anything from home. What kind of hustle were you engaged in. I'm really interested

Yah like I said the lecturer made it hard. He doesn't even know what he is teaching. I later cracked it up using YouTube. But at first it looked difficult cos of the man

It music be the lecturers problem because automata theory is very very easy... You just need to be able to think...

But these are mainly for certifications. I mean like companies like MAINONE, DATAFLEX, and the likes not necessarily certification firms were one can work
