Segzy23: I beg to differ, It is not only a selected few, most of them have it. For your phone not to have it, it must either be a very cheap Android phone (not with many smartphone features) or it is running on the old Android os . ie something before Froyo. I have been using this feature since late 2010, and even back then, most of the HTC and Samsung phones I came across had it. Yes most of them might not have 4g, but they have 3g and can be used as wireless hotspot.

I can only speak of what I encountered.
A few of the carriers that I visited, did not allow tethering with the 3G phone. :-(
That feature was only offered on selected 4G phones with selected plans. :-(
Hence the "carrot" to manipulate the consumer.
That's why I can wait until a super smart manufacturer decide to produce a cell phone with 1 tera byte of internal memory.
It's not impossible, it's just not available to the public yet.
The consumers have to be bilked through the hard drives and thumb drives before the tera byte is offered through the cell phone. :-)

Segzy23: I am afraid you gonna have to wait a long time, you talk about terabyte hard drive on market, how long did it take to get this? Also, if you get anything with terabyte in the near future, it will come at a premium price. You just have to look at the price difference between devices with 16gb, 32gb and 64gb. I suspect they would not make the huge leap from 64gb to 1 TByte, rather they will go to 128gb, 256gb and 512gb first before going to 1TB. Same thing applies to processors, we got a single core processor first, then duo core, quad core and now octo core. So dear, you gonna be waiting for a long time.

This is called Tethering, it has been around for a while back. It is available on any Android device and comes as part of the Android platform. So the answer is Yes

It's not on all devices. When I was forced to replace my phone, only a select few offered this option. Hell, some of them didn't even offer bluetooth.
The corporate conglormoration knows exactly how to dangle the "carrot" in front of the consumers and reap a heafty profit.

So once again, when the internal memory reaches 1 terabyte, I'll go phone shopping.

As I said before, WHEN THE COMPANIES BEGIN TO OFFER 1 TERA BYTE OF MEMORY THEN I WOULD BE WILLING TO SPEND $500 for a phone.
It's only a matter of time.
After all the tera byte hard drive is already on the market.
Not running a game on my phone. Running my lottery software that the techs said could not be done.
Plus my phone allows me to use it as a 4g hotspot. So i can use my tablet or netbook on the road.
Does this phone offer you the consumer this option?

I hate to disappoint you but it was only a few years ago that 1 gig of internal memory was the "must have".
I just purchased my phone last week thinking 5 gig of internal memory was the best thing since the dual camera.
Now this week the industry is in the process of releasing a "new phone" with 64 gig internal memory.
I already know that it is only a matter of time and billions of consumer dollars later that the memory will reach 1 tera byte.
Depending on your age, when the cell phone first hit the market almost all of the phones had cameras, camcorders, and flashes.
Now you have to purchase an upscale camera just to get the flash. No matter how the industry tout how wonderful the cameras are, you still get crappy photos without the flash.
I still possess an Audio Vox android phone from "the time of Moses". That phone has camera, camcorder, and flash. It takes better pictures and does better videos than the phone I just purchased and the phone I replaced.

Keep in mind that the reality of repeat customers is to dangle a better "carrot".
That's how they stay in business and make their profits.
Time will tell the tale.

Buying a new phone is like buying a new car.
The minute you drive that new car off the lot, the value of the car drops like a rock.
The phone is nice for those who want a lot of bells and whistles.
But as someone who is looking for longevity and demands a lot of bang for their buck, if it doesn't have 1 terabyte of internal memory, then it's useless to me and other users who use their phone like a mini portable computer.
And as a working stiff, I don't have the luxury of tossing hard earned money towards a new "carrot".
So if Samsung, LG, or any other mobile phone manufacturer desire access into my pockets again, they're gonna have to upass 1 terabyte of memory. lol.....

Does anyone know how much internal memory this phone has?
I just purchased a LG and I have 5 gigs of internal memory not to mention my 32 gig memory card.
While I was shopping for a new phone, I noticed that many of the more expensive phones had lesser internal memory and that is a setback for me.
Because most of the apps I download can't be moved to my memory card. So keeping that in mind my primary goal was making sure I purchased a phone that would allow me to download my apps and store my msgs without having to worry about running out of memory space every other week.
I do not expect to purchase a phone for quite some time, because this phone does everything I need it to do. Heck I even run a dos based program on my phone and use a bluetooth keybord with it whenever I visit certain sites. Talk about thinking outside of the box....... lol

I would be willing to pay $500.00 for a phone if it came with 1 terabyte of internal memory and possessed all of the features that my LG phone has. I would own that phone for the rest of my life or until it could no longer be repaired. Which ever comes first.
