How do you rate a crook who paints roads with asphalt above someone who takes his time to deliver standard roads? I don't need to ask anyone, I am in Aba at the moment and seeing things for myself. I used to live in Osusu road and knew how hellish it used to be commuting from my house to other parts of Aba. I passed the road yesterday. It has been rebuilt with concrete. Same thing for Omuma road. You will never recognise Ama Ogbonna if the last time you visited Aba was during T.A Orji tenure. Aba Owerri road has been completed. The notorious flyover has even long completed.

I was at A line yesterday and was impressed with the speed and standard of the market rehabilitation project.

Okezie may not be the best thing that happened to Abia but he is miles ahead of anyone who have rule the state.

Even with the so called roads Okezie built, Abia is still lagging behind.

Like I said, wait till rainy season you'll know the real Aba. Even the faulks road, Ariaria are deserted by shop owners during rainy season.

Everyone knows OuK built substandard roads but they were motorable during his time because they usually do patch up regularly.

Aside roads, Ouk paid salaries and things were better then. Sports was at it's peak, security was fine with the then Bakassi boys.

Owning of salaries started with Ochendo passed down to Ikpeazu. Why is Ikpeazu owing more than 6 months salary? Abi na backlog too?

What are they doing with Abia money?

Abia has been unfortunate with leaders from Ouk but he was the best among the evils.

Orji Kalu did the Aba and Umuahia township stadium, Most link roads in Umuahia and Aba, Conference halls in Umuahia and Estates.

Though his road construction standard was very poor aside the few he built with his company Zerock then.
He patched up bad roads then so they were accessible.
Like I said he's a crook and didn't build standard roads like Amaechi, Akpabio or Fashola but He's better than TA and Ikpeazu. Both of them can't even pay salaries despite the lack of infrastructure so what did they do with funds?

Take Abia out of that list. I am in Abia. The state I met is far better than what I used to know when T.A Orji and Orji Kalu were Governor's.

Orji Kalu was the best among the trio. Abia was at it's best during his time though he was a crook.

I'm an Igbo guy from Imo state. I work online so can move anywhere as long as i see good light and fast internet.
And something else... I'm kind of a late bloomer in life. Things no enter for me early so I'm still single at 40. But I earn well now, thanks to God, and so I'm seriously searching for a nice lady to settle down with. A city with lots of marriageable single girls around (even semi-educated one who are generally more humble) is high on my priority list.

The city I have in mind as the best fit is Enugu but due to insecurity in the SE I'm open to other opinions.

Please advice me based on your experence.

This is my advice...if you must travel to any area where kidnapping is rampant, save money ahead, buy a flight ticket and keep. When it's time, fly and be happy. You'd save your own life, that of your family and avoid any yęyę ransome. For instance, if you must travel to port Harcourt in a month's time, save money and buy any of the cheap flight tickets. Its always cheaper if you book far ahead.

If you must travel by road, please split the journey. When you get to owerri, look for a hotel and lodge. It won't be more than 15k. The following day, don't leave too early. Same applies to those traveling to abuja and the north.

Some people are so foolish when taking a travel decision. They think they can save money by travelling by road. If you have an appointment or a function in a place like Uyo or Kaduna. You can fly there in the morning and return in the evening, if you booked ahead, you'd take advantage of a low fare of 100k, on your return flight. Whereas, if you chose to travel by road, you leave a day to your engagement, get there in the night , spend a whole day on the road and expose yourself to all the dangers and if you're not from that area, you book a hotel...the cost of road transport and hotel would have covered your one way ticket. On the day of engagement, you attend and still lodge the 2nd day, then pay a bus fare back to base and still spend the whole day on the road. By the time you calculate your expenses, you'd end up at almost 100k plus feeding. Whereas if you chose to travel by air, you could return same day, painless and stress-free trip still spending 100k or equivalent.

You can be kidnapped on your way to the airport.

Kidnap is an inside stuff. Security is terrible in Nigeria.
